We had such an incredible time on this tour we highly recommend it! The company was able to accommodate a last minute tour guide change and took great care of us. Andreas the tour guide was exceptional and gave us a deep dive on Roman history as we rode around and visited multiple neighborhoods and landmarks. This is a must if you ever travel to Rome and if you can ask for Andreas specifically.

This was the highlight of our Rome vacation. It was so much fun and they really do trust you with the scooter. We were apart of a larger group and did the evening time slot. The scooters are fast, the sites are incredible and the 3 hours goes by in a flash. My group had scooters when we were in college and had experience riding. IF YOU DONT HAVE EXPERIENCE RIDING A SCOOTER DO NOT BOOK THIS. Rome traffic is crazy and it is dangerous if you have not driven one before.

Great quality of the Vespas. Pretty brand new and a big thank you to Caesar for being a knowledgeable and a patient guide. Although a lot of roads were closed due to the Pope's funeral procession, Caesar took us on an offbeat path with great inputs and made the tour a very interesting one.

Perfect first day in Rome!

I did this tour in February and halfway through it started raining. I knew this was a possibility but Stefan was amazing and still powered through with amazing facts and interesting stories about his city! I couldn’t have asked for a better first day to see all the sights. I recommend doing this tour first and make a note of the sites you see to then go visit in your own time which is what I did! The tour went to all the major places and also has some unique smaller ones. Even if we were driving past somewhere Stefan would explain it at the traffic lights or at the next opportunity. The stop in Trastevere was a highlight for me to have a hot chocolate in a local neighbourhood. Toward the end the rain cleared up and Stefan took some nice photos of me in front of a beautiful fountain! Be reminded though that not only having experience riding is required, but city riding also. Rome is not like riding on motorways back home - lucky for me I was told I rode like a local!!

Make sure you really know how to drive a scooter

We booked the tour but didn't end up taking it. We didn't really have experience driving vespa's and thought it's no big deal. But the traffic is crazy, the roads are narrow, and there are people everywhere! The tour company doesn't have insurance, so even if the scooter falls over, it can be expensive for you. So we sadly canceled at 100% loss since we didn't cancel within 24 hours of the tour Not their fault.. completely ours. I really wanted to drive the vespa, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

The check-in was not a fun experience. The desk lady almost had us all convinced it was too dangerous for us to drive in Rome. Then the guide that took us to meet the large group was on his phone the whole time as we tried to follow him to the location. One person got separated because the light changed, and traffic cut them off. He was unaware of anything. BUT!!!! once we got past all of that this was the most fun and still the most talked about part of our trip. The actual large group guide we had took us to some hidden gems with views of Rome that you can't even imagine. This experience was everything we expected and then some. This was the best way to see the city even after we were there for several days and seen so much. If you can ride on 2 wheels this is way more fun than being driven or in a side car. Cannot recommend this tour enough.

This was one of the best experiences in Rome. It was a great way to see the city and learn the history from the tour guide. A 3-hour ride around Rome is a very unique way to explore the city, Sametime was so much fun. We are so lucky the day we ride is a sunny day. But if you want full experience, you really need to know how to ride a scooter.

This was definitely a big highlight of our trip to Rome. Wow… I had a blast. I have experience riding motorcycles, I do suggest some kind of experience on either a Vespa or scooter equivalent will be necessary for the self riding, and it was so fun. My fiancé rode on the back with me and she loved it. You’re riding through Rome with the locals! The guides were amazing! I felt safe the whole time. There’s also an educational part of the trip, there is an actual tour guide, and you learn a lot about the city. This was a blast. If you ride, and have experience riding in a city, you’ll love it!

Listen to me: DO THIS! Almost 2 weeks in Italy and this is the top of the memories. Driving through Rome like this is an experience not be missed. We had a fantastically fun ride, stopped at multiple spots (some more known than others), and were given insights and details about Italy we never would've known without our guide. It all ended in a drink/gelato in the backstreets of Trastevere with locals and live music. Cuma was our guide and he is a born storyteller whose magnetic passion and love for Rome shines through every city secret he shares. We smiled until our cheeks hurt and laughed until our eyes watered. I am so grateful we did this tour and met Cuma. An adventure you'll never forget.

This was a great experience! My husband and I really enjoyed this tour and driving around Rome in a Vespa. This was way less stressful than I thought it would be (given the crazy Rome traffic/driving) and was actually super fun. Leonardo was our tour guide and he was great; provided good stories, explanations and facts about the sights/landmarks and was very pleasant to talk to. Simone was also great and made sure we were comfortable and were enjoying the experience. 10/10 activity to do while in Rome.
