We wound up having a private tour and everything was great. Our driver, Pier-Paulo, was not only a very competent driver, he was an excellent guide, who went out of his way to make the trip a very pleasant and comfortable experience for us. He made sure we were well taken care of in Naples during a good lunch and then made sure we saw some highlights of Naples. Our Pompeii guide, Elsa, was knowledgeable and delightful and showed us those things we wanted to see while keeping to our pace. We highly recommend this tour!

This was a great tour. Paolo, our driver, was very nice and picked us up right at the hotel. Our guide in Pompeii, Romolo, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and a really nice guy. Lunch in Naples was fun and we enjoyed getting to see the city.

Small Group Tour Naples and Pompeii

Very good tour of Naples and Pompeii. Our tour guide was Bruno. After the two hour drive to Pompeii from Rome, Bruno handed us off to a tour guide that specializes in Pompeii. Our guide took us on a tour that focused on giving us an idea of life in Pompeii. Pompeii is very large and while we did not see "all" of Pompeii, we were taken to an excellent selection of sites in the city. Our guide gave us details on the design and function of the city. When we were finished with our tour of Pompeii, Bruno met us and took us on the tour of Naples. The pizza was amazing. After lunch, we went on a walking tour of the old city of Naples and had a coffee at the oldest coffee house in Naples. Both guides had a lot of good information to share. Would recommend this small group tour of Pompeii.

Our tour guide, Rocco, was exceptional, engaging and very informative. The tour guide at Pompeii was willing to accommodate what we wanted to see within the window allowable (there is too much to see in just a few hours) and this was a great way to specialize the tour based on the preferences of the group. Just do your research ahead of time so that you can give feedback to your guide when asked for, otherwise you may just see the standard areas of Pompeii. The brothel, not a part of the normal tour, is a great addition and very unique. The city of Naples is also very scenic and our guide gave us a thorough walking tour. Be aware that both of these tours require a great deal of walking so be prepared! But well worth the sweat equity and the price.

Our driver Pier-Paulo was great. Excellent driver and guide, very knowledgeable and pleasant. He made sure we were well taken care of during our time in Naples as well. Our Pompeii guide, Elsa, provided an excellent overview and was attentive to what we wanted to do. Happily this turned out to be a private tour!

Pouring rain the day we took this tour - BUT would not have missed it for the world. Amazing that even 2,000 years ago people decorated their homes with pictures of birds and flowers! Great guide! Small group! Saw more in two hours than the larger tours could see in twice the time Plus we could ask questions!

This was a surprise for us due to the low season it was only the 5 of my family and friends on this tour. They picked us up at our hotel and off we went. Pompeii was amazing and our 2nd tour guide was very knowledgeable of Pompeii. We then went to Naples for lunch of Naples pizza. The restaurant was very cute, but they forgot about us. Our tour guides got their lunch and we waited. I understand the Italians don't rush their eating process, but people came in an went and we still hadn't gotten food. We spent hours waiting for food. We had hoped we would be able to see more of Naples, but dues to the restaurants delay of food, we weren't able to see much of Naples..

Our Pompeii tour guide was awesome. We could tell she loves her job and was passionate about the history of Pompeii. We went on Friday,March 17. The citizens of Pompeii were very interesting and smart people. Emilio and Luigi were professional and informative on our day trip. Try Naples pizza.
