We had already seen the Vatican, Trevi Fountain and Collesium on our own, but our golf cart guide (Artura from Luxurbe) took us to places in Rome we never knew existed. In 90 minutes he drove us (in a luxury cart) to a church with artifacts from the crucifixion, which was very moving during the week of Easter. He even drove us to the Presidents palace, Pantheon, Loyola church, various palazzos, fountains and the Spanish stairs. This was way more than we could have done in 1 day, let alone 90 minutes. Well worth the money. Oh, and did I mention I was in a walking boot with a broken foot? This was the perfect way to see the city with a disability!

This is the best way to see all the most important sites in Rome! We saved steps and got to see everything. Our guide was so nice and knowledgeable of the city and history. We even got a great restaurant recommendation from him at the end of our tour.

Paolo D was a friendly and helpful guide who asked what we wanted to see and tried his very best to accommodate this on a very busy Sunday in Rome. He showed us many of the usual sights but also took us to great vantage points which allowed us to orientate ourselves.

The concept of the golf cart tour is good...it's a fun way to get around the city to see the sights. I booked our express tour for 5 ppl to start at 4:00. Within a few minutes of booking, the company called me to ask if we could move to the 6:00 pm time. We agreed. We were at the meeting location by 5:50. The guide, Simone, met us right at 6:00, and invited us to sit in the cart while waiting for 2 other guests to arrive. They arrived around 6:10, and then we started. Our guide was friendly, but didn't really share and information or history during the tour. He did say a few things along the way, but not what we expected from a certified guide. He told ne at the start of the tour that since we were in a large cart with 7 guests, he wouldn't be able to communicate with all of us as we drove, and that he would talk when we stopped. The description of this tour indicates headsets would be used...but they weren't. We stopped to take photos at the Roman Forum, Pantheon, and a beautiful church. We did not stop to take photos at the Colosseum, which was very disappointing. When asked if we were going to stop there, our guide said we couldn't because of traffic and because we were limited on time in the express tour. Yet, after driving past the Colosseum, we stopped at the Pantheon and the church. We concluded at the Trevi Fountain at 7:19. Our guide asked our preference-- to stop there and end a few minutes early, or stop there for pics and then return to Spanish Steps. We chose to stay at Trevi. The description states that the guide will take photos of the group. This was not offered, nor did we ask. Overall, my friends and I were disappointed in this experience...mainly because the guide didn't really share fun facts or information about the sights, and because we didn't stop for photos at the Colosseum. Simone was friendly. We just expected more from this tour. Earlier in the day, we had a 15 minute drive with an Uber, and that driver was happy to talk and share information as we drove. I wish this would have been a similar experience.

Since 2024, all of our golf carts are equipped with audio systems and headsets, ensuring that every guest—regardless of seat position—can clearly hear the guide throughout the tour.
Guides have undergone new training programs focused on historical storytelling, guest engagement, and consistency of information.
The Express Tour has a fixed duration, but we have updated the itinerary so that the Colosseum photo-stop is always included, except in case of certified police closures.
Our dispatch system has also been updated so that time adjustments and group combinations are handled more clearly and communicated in writing.

This was such a disappointment! our tour was scheduled at 2pm and at 1:50pm as we are at the meeting spot waiting to be picked up I received a message telling me the driver wasn't able to make it and we would have to reschedule for 6pm. I let them know that wasn't possible since we had to be back to the ship by 7pm and asked for a refund. To which I never got a response. They charged me for the tour I NEVER RECIEVED!!! If I could give negative stars I would.

Very dependent on the guide, ours didn’t know many facts/history about the city. As tourists, we were teaching him. Once we changed our mindset, to being driven around without facts/knowledge/ a tour, we were able to have a little enjoyment. Would’ve been disappointing if this is all we had

This was great for the couple of days we had in Rome. Our driver Johnny was early and friendly. He took the time to ask what we had already seen and what we might want to see to make the best use of our time. Certainly took us to places that we would not have got to and asked us what our plans were after the tour to determine where we finished. Highly recommend!

Great way to see Rome without walking all the time. Friendly Guide in a Golf Cart, with his friend in another Golf Cart. The two of them shared the guiding, both very helpful and informal, giving us background stories to some of the places, as well as the history/culture of a particular place. We were given 5 mins at various places to get off and take photos. Would recommend.

Rome is a great city and this could be a great tour, but our experience was less than. There were two 8 passenger carts. Our driver did not speak English so we only learned about Rome when we stopped. The time allotted was too short as we saw less than half of what was advertised in the tour. The tour would not even be good for mobility challenged as we had to walk to the sites we did see.

In some cases, when last-minute substitutions occur, a bilingual guide may accompany the tour to avoid cancellations and ensure service continuity. Regarding the itinerary, it’s important to note that in Rome’s historic center certain landmarks are accessible only on foot, as vehicles cannot enter pedestrian or restricted areas. For this reason, short walks are part of the experience and are always kept minimal to accommodate guests with reduced mobility.

Our guide Octavio was incredible. He was knowledgeable about the sights, navigated the crazy Roman traffic, and showed us some incredible views. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because traffic can be pretty bad in Rome, especially if the weather is poor. Spending time in the backstreets instead of seeing the sights might not be worth the cost to some people. We never got to see the Colosseum and that was also because of traffic. Thankfully we were given a choice between being in more traffic to see the colosseum and avoiding that traffic while seeing some other landmarks. I will say this was perfect for my mother who has walking issues.

Horrible tour. We waited 15 minutes for the other guests. The tour was only 1 hour. The tour didn’t go to any of the places on the itinerary. The tour guide didn’t provide any information.

The reviewer states the driver “never showed” and “stopped responding.” Our records confirm the service was operated, and the guide was present at the meeting point. The guests did not meet the guide at the designated location.

The tour started 20 minutes late due to some problem in their office. We had to end up ringing to find out what was going on. The tour was very light on with information. We were given a brief summary of each stop and then given 5-7 minutes to look at each site. There was no commentary given in between. He missed 3 of the sites with no explanation Compared to one we did in Florence that not only provided taped audio of all sites we passed our driver also gave us extra bits of information.

This was a great way to quickly visit lots of the sites of Rome if you are short on time/it's really hot. We had already done guided tours of the Sistine chapel/museums and the Colosseum but didn't want to miss anything. Our driver showed us all of the places from our list, plus a couple more. Not a super knowledgeable guide like the ones running full tours, but he was friendly and spoke great English

So many people said your first day in Rome you should do a golf cart tour. Meeting place was not very clear. I had to message via WhatsApp to find meeting spot. Driver showed and took us around. Keep in mind an evening golf cart tour runs into normal city traffic. Matteo took us to some spots and we were able to stop and get off for pictures. He talked a little about things and said no rush but we were on a deadline. We never made it over to the Pantheon or Colosseum area. I felt like we backtracked some areas since some things we passed twice. I know other companies have a golf cart tour where you stop for gelato. This is not one and we did not stop for that. A few areas we did stop at ended up being the only time in our 4 days in Rome that we saw that. When asked for a dinner recommendation, he suggested one and even made a reservation for us and said he could drop us off there at the end of the tour. Nice bonus. We arrived at restaurant and it was fine. Nothing to brag about. Dinner was very salty. Overall I feel it wasn't worth the cost but being in peak season it is what it is. I wouldn't recommend or do again.

The Susan G Komen marathon race was the day of our golf cart tour. The locals say this is the biggest race they have in Rome each year. Most of the roads were blocked off due to the marathon in the morning. We boarded the golf cart and if it wasn’t for the woman sitting next to me to say that we were not going anywhere on the list of sites because of the road closures I would not have known. Our guides did not explain when we boarded. We were driven around through traffic to a mountaintop to view Rome and back. We arrived back from our tour at 1 PM in the afternoon, the roads were open at 2:30 PM. It would have been nice if we were notified of the road closures and offered to take a later time for the tour, instead we drove around in traffic, did not see any of the sites and you took me for $117. I chose this tour because my husband had recent knee surgery and it was the best way for us to see Rome. Very disappointed. This is a well-known marathon in the area, and I feel we should have been offered to go at a later time so we could see our sites.

We would like to clarify that the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was not publicly announced with sufficient notice. The city of Rome confirmed the road closures only the day before the tour, making it impossible for us to reroute or reschedule in time.
While we understand your disappointment, please know that our intention was to proceed with the tour to the best of our ability, despite the severe traffic restrictions. In hindsight, clearer communication at the start would have helped, and for that, we apologize.
