The guide for this particular tour is very knowledgeable. She gave us the important aspects of the architectural style and the beauty of the Dome with no support at the centre open to the sky, which is a Marvel. Took a time to explain and answer questions. And subsequently allowed us to walk around on our own. A magnificent structure.

This tour was great!!!! Our guide, Dianna, was so knowledgeable!!!! She gave us so much background information and was able to answer every question that was asked regarding the Vatican and its history. I also very much appreciate how kind and thoughtful she was.

Never found my group

I never found my group. I was there on time, before noon, at the audio station. No group, no guide. I eventually joined the only guide I saw around thinking this must be it. After a while he let us to go outside the Pantheon and at that point told me I don’t belong to this group. So now I found myself back outside and left.

The ticket pickup address was wrong !! Total disaster. We ran around 15 minutes looking for the address. Many were doing the same. Total chaos. Will never use this tour company EvER !!

Skip the line Pantheon visit.

The skip the line is definitely the way to go. If you didn’t have this type of ticket you were waiting in two separate lines for hours, one line to buy the ticket, and the other line to gain entry. Well worth the price. We were inside the Pantheon in seconds with this pass

Do NOT take this tour!

Do not take this tour. The title said “Guided Tour of the Pantheon in Rome with Fast Track Ticket.” In the checklist it says it includes “expert guide.” In the body it says “ Meeting point: Reception desk of the Basilica of San Lorenzo di Lucina situated to the right of the Basilica doorway in Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina 6 Rome ONLY TO COLLECT YOUR ENTRY TICKET, AFTERWARDS GO TO TO THE PANTHEON WHERE YOU WILL FIND YOUR GUIDE INSIDE THE BUILDING AT THE AUDIOGUIDE DESK.” There are THREE mentions of a guide. No one met us. No where does it mention an audio tour with a headset that is too big for a young child’s ears. Yet, that’s how we spent our hour. Everyone on my family had a terrible time. When I called Viator to get a refund, the only thing they wanted to do was offer me a discount on a future tour with them. No thanks.

It wasn’t “guided” it was an audio guide. Pick up location was far from site. Lines we still long. Had to wait in line for audio equipment Then wait in same line for return of equipment. We didn't even use the service.

The process of obtaining tickets needs to be much easier. Actually, there is no need to walk around a bunch to find a small door just to get a piece of paper. It could easily be mailed. Also, the audio equipment was totally out of sync with the designated exhibits. Ie, exhibit 7 and Audio unit number did not correspond to each other. But you could guess the right number yourself.

First off we met to get our tickets about a half of a mile from the pantheon. It was a long walk to the pantheon. I was under the impression that this was a guided tour. This was not. It was an audio tour recording. I would not do this tour again

My second visit to the Pantheon, the first was 36 years ago! What an amazing place to see again, and a great way to experience it with a guided tour. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, I was so engrossed in the experience that I barely noticed the crowds! Recommend this tour highly.

Tickets purchased through Viator were picked up from a church location approximately 9 minute walk away from the Pantheon - not especially convenient and upon arriving at the Pantheon was utter chaos. I was told to use the middle line and had to rely on the guidance of another tour operator to point out the ‘middle’ line. But despite having concerns we would miss our tour time was pleasantly surprised that the line moved more quickly than expected. Once inside my next set of instructions were to proceed to the audio desk on the left of the entrance. That was a whole new level of chaos and confusion. The 3 staff at the counter looked at one another somewhat disappointed that the tourists for the guided tour actually showed up and it seemed like the person drawing the shortest straw would have to deliver the tour to our group of 3. We actually had to ask if they provided a voice amplification system. Anyone who has been to the Pantheon is well aware of the noise reverberation in that building and the voice system is essential! Aside from these very significant shortcomings our guide was indeed delightful, however his knowledge of the active procession involving the King’s tomb and honor guard was lacking. His response was “ we don’t know what goes on”. I would suggest it would be helpful for tourists if the staff offering the tours were aware of the signifcance of the procession of guards and clergy we witnessed in front of our eyes. Is the Pantheon a worthwhile stop - without a doubt. Could more polish be put into the tours offered and paid for? Without a doubt.

Frustration getting to the Pantheon

We were disappointed due to the fact the pre booked tickets were collected from a different venue 10 minutes plus away from the Pantheon. We got lost . When we got to the collection point there was a long queue and we we were not the only ones to miss our guided tour.. We feel it was a waste of money to get a pre booked fast tracked ticket. Audio guide is sufficient We suggest that you warn customers to allow at least an hour to collect their tickets. What the crowds would be like in the summer is hard to imagine

Guide no show! Viator no response!

Arrived at the meeting place 15 minutes before the tour was due to start, waited 30 minutes, no Guide, tried to call and message the tour company, no response. I notified Viator requesting a full refund, no response!

Not worth the price.

This seems way too expensive for the experience provided. The guide is a part of the pantheon audio tour group and meets us at the audio tour booth. There is way too much confusion where to meet the guide. The line is also long even though we have the ticket already (aka the line for ticket holders is long and this tour ticket does not allow you to skip this line). The tour is for about 40 mins and really is very generic. I would just recommend the $8 audio tour instead.

Our guide gave an in depth history of the Pantheon that was stellar. She was able to explain the architecture and the role of the pantheon in past and present.

A guided tour is not neccessary.

Paid for a guided tour. But at the pantheon they told me its flexible that I can do a self guided or with a in person guide. They were hoping that I don't request a in person guide as there was no others to join us.
