I would definitely recommend this cooking experience. I took my 16 yr old son with me and we both enjoyed the experience. Our Chef Duccio and his partner chef (don't remember her name) were great. This is a nice experience away from the usual historical tours and you get to experience cooking for us, was a Pizza and having homemade gelato, and coming away with .ore information about the food prep and ingredients. We are in Italy, choose a cooking class, and this one, we had a great time.

What a fantastic experience from beginning to end! We booked the pizza and gelato-making class as part of my daughter’s birthday celebration, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip.
Our instructor was absolutely wonderful. She made my daughter feel incredibly special on her birthday with thoughtful moments of attention throughout the class, while still ensuring that every participant felt included and engaged. It was the perfect balance—my daughter felt celebrated without taking away from anyone else’s experience.
Before we even started cooking, our instructor shared fascinating history about Italian cuisine and how it connects to the local culture and traditions. I loved how she wove those stories into the cooking process, giving us a deeper appreciation for the food we were creating.
This class was a hit with our entire multi-generational group. From the seniors in our family to the kids, everyone was engaged, laughing, learning, and having fun. The energy stayed high the entire time, and it was obvious that our instructor is truly passionate about what she does.
We made pizza dough completely from scratch, learned helpful tips and techniques, and customized our pizzas with our favorite toppings. During the gelato-making portion, several participants—including some of the children—were invited to help stir the gelato while learning about its history and preparation. Those hands-on moments made the experience even more memorable.
The class was informative, interactive, and incredibly fun. We left with full stomachs, new skills, wonderful memories, and a deeper appreciation for Italian food and culture.
I highly recommend this experience to families, couples, groups of friends, and travelers of all ages. If I am ever back in the area, I would absolutely book this class again with the same instructor. She and her team provided the perfect ending to our trip and helped create birthday memories that my daughter will never forget.

Such a fun family experience to make pizza and gelato together. Simple enough for the kids to do it all on their own and yet tasty enough for us all to enjoy. The facility is beautiful… clean, cool and well situated for us to be together. Duccio was a great chef and guide and my kids really enjoyed his sense of humor along with his guidance.

If you are in Rome, you have to book this. Our group (my daughters, sister, some awesome newlyweds, and me) had a wonderful experience. Doccio is a master guide—super patient, hilarious, and he plays excellent music. We went from being complete strangers to sharing amazing camaraderie over pizza dough and gelato. Learning the recipes was incredible, and getting certificates at the end was the perfect touch. A true highlight of our vacation!

Stephania gave us one of the highlights of our trip with her incredible Pizza and Gelato cooking class! From the moment we walked in, she made everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and excited to cook. The class was extremely hands-on, which made it so much more fun and memorable — we weren’t just watching, we were truly learning every step of the process.
Stephania explained everything so well and shared so many great tips and techniques that we’ll actually use again at home. We learned how to make authentic pizza from scratch and delicious gelato, and everything we made tasted absolutely amazing. The ingredients were fresh, the food was outstanding, and the wine kept flowing the entire time, creating such a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
What really made the experience special was Stephania herself — warm, funny, patient, and clearly passionate about what she does. She made the class feel like cooking with friends rather than a formal lesson. We laughed nonstop, ate incredibly well, drank great wine, and walked away with wonderful memories and new skills.
Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Italy. It was fun, delicious, interactive, and unforgettable. Thank you, Stephania, for such an amazing evening!

Loved being with Duccio, he made the experience, fun, funny, and entertaining. It felt small and intimate, but very close and a good way to end our trip.

We signed up for a cooking class where we learned how to effectively make pizza and gelato. Our teacher and Cook, Anna, did a great job of explaining how you make a pizza and how you make gelato. It was a lot of fun, we learned a lot, met some great people and had a great time. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

A fun last night spent in Rome as a mother & son cooking class! The pizza tasted amazing too.
Didn't actually get to make the gelato the chef showed us how its done but it was a yummy treat at the end

Our family (two parents and kids ages 10 and 12) absolutely loved this class. The kitchen was high-quality, and our teacher, Stefania, was phenomenal. She shared wonderful stories about her grandmother’s pizza dough and used her years of experience to help us fix any dough issues on the fly. We learned to make a true Roman-style thin crust from scratch and feel confident we can replicate it at home.
Beyond the cooking, the class was a deep dive into Italian culture. Stefania gave us incredible tips on how to spot authentic restaurants versus tourist traps, iconic Roman dishes to seek out, and a list of authentic gelato spots. We used her recommendations over the next few days, and they were all spot on!
As for the food we made—the chocolate gelato was the absolute best we had during our entire trip. It was also a lovely experience sharing the kitchen with another family from a different country. If you want a fun, skill-building, and culturally rich experience in Rome, this is it. Highly recommend!

I am going to start with the conclusion- this is so much fun and you should book it!!!
We spent 3 hours learning how to create our own pizza bases, baking them and eating them with a carafe of wine between the two of us. We were in a small group which was ideal and after the session we are both confident we could do this at home when we get back.
Duccio was our host, who explained things step by step and we were able to laugh at our attempts to move from the dough to the base. I managed to invent a paper thin base that was almost transparent and my wife went for an artistic heart shape. Ultimately it was all about the taste and they really were as good as those you get in the local restaurants so don’t plan to eat out in the evening!
The gelato making was watching Duccio explaining how it was made rather than all trying however we were all able to share it when it was finished.
If you want to have a great time, whether on your own, as a couple or a family I would have no hesitation in recommending this.

It was really fun as well as the learning how to make our own pizza. The two ladies that led our class really made it come to life with really fun interactions with all of us in the class. Well worth the time and money and a nice change from the Walking Tour style of visiting Rome.

BOOK this! DUCCI the chef used to make 500pizzas a day before he sold his pizzeria in Toronto. He is FABULOUS! We enjoyed an evening full of laughs, meeting incredible people, and making two of our favorite things, pizza and gelato. The facility is extremely clean and brand new (only 2weeks old as of June 17, 2025).

Thank you so much for this amazing review! We’re beyond happy to hear how much you enjoyed your evening with Chef Duccio—he truly is fabulous, and his pizza-making skills are legendary! It’s wonderful that you had fun, met great people, and created two Italian classics in our brand-new space. Laughter, great food, and good company—that’s what it’s all about. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!
