Where to start!?! Our first booking got canceled so this was really the only option remaining. The meeting point was not clearly marked with the address and the greeting at the desk was not very pleasant. When the guide arrived (late) the only thing he said to the group was let’s go. From there it was a speed walk to the colosseum with his hand raised which was hard to follow through the crowds. The whole tour was rushed and the headphone receivers didn’t work well. About 50 minutes into the tour the guide received a phone call and announced to the group we had an hour on our own (to which he stated never happens) and that someone would meet us at the exit and it wouldn’t be him and didn’t tell us who 🧐. Needless to say we waited and left not being able to visit the Roman Forum or Palatine Hill.

Hello! First of all, it is not our fault that your booking got cancelled since it was not booked with us! Also, you DID NOT have an hour on your own! You had a short break inside the Colosseum to take some pictures!!! You also contacted us via Viator and you were told very clearly the guide is waiting for you at the exit at the Colosseum for the second part of the tour and you didn't show up!

Horrible uncaring tour by guide

If anyone is reading my review, please avoid viator to book this tour. They hire a local agency who are pretty ruthless and unhelpful especially with family with kids. We had to run around just to find our guide. They specifically asked us to come at 10am but made us wait in the sun for the guide and didn’t start until 11:45am. After 30mins of speech they said go look yourself. Very pathetic presentation and totally uncaring guide. Horrible service. Viator should be banned from selling such tours.

Hello, Rishi! First of all, the policy for all of our tours it to meet in our office 30 minutes before your start time. You had a tour for 10:30 a.m. that started at 10:45 a.m. due to organisational reasons. We did NOT "made you wait in the sun", you waited for the entire group to be there. This is absolutely normal since you had a group tour! Second, you can't go look yourself, because we don't have individual tickets! You had a 1 hour Colosseum tour, YOU WENT INSIDE THE COLOSSEUM WITH THE GUIDE and the tour for the Palatine and Forum, a short introduction for these last two and free time to spend as long as you want in the Forum, because this is the product you bought!! We also have private tours and complete tours but, again, this is the product you chose! Please read again the details and don't come here spreading false and untrue information!

The guide was excellent, had a heap of historical facts to share. It was hard to take it all in! The Colosseum is a spectular piece of history. It would be better to get into the Colosseum sooner, the guide could share the facts while we are waiting in line.

Le lieu est magnifique mais la guide était très froide avec les visiteurs. Les explications étaient difficile à comprendre et peu intéressantes comparé à ce que nous avons pu entendre chez les guides autour de nous. La guide nous a indiqué les toilettes mais nous a dit de ne pas y aller avant la fin de la visite (45min après) malgré le fait qu'il y avait deux femmes enceintes dans le groupe. La guide était froide voire agressive lorsqu'on lui posait des questions.

First of all, we only work with professional licensed guides so rest assured they all know a lot of interesting and fascinating information, otherwise they wouldn't have had this job. Second, regarding the toilets, just imagine what it would be like for everyone to go to the bathroom during a tour. We have a specific amount of time for each part of the tour and it's 45 minutes, you can use the bathroom before and after the tour. Thank you!

Diese Tour ist ihr Geld nicht wert. Die Reiseleitung war nicht zu erkennen. Sie stellte sich nicht vor. Lief einfach los. Erst nach Aufforderung nutze sie kurz ihren Schirm als Erkennungszeichen. Dieser verschwand aber ziemlich schnell wieder in Ihrer Tasche. Ohne Rücksicht auf ihre Gruppe lief sie los und erzählte in einem nicht gut verständlichen Englisch. Nach 45 min Hetzjagd durch das Kolosseum sammelte sie die Übertragungsgeräte wieder ein und alle mussten ihr nun ins Forum Romanum folgen. Zeit um die beeindruckende Kulisse auf sich wirken zu lassen gab es nicht. Wir haben uns an dieser Stelle aus der Gruppe verabschiedet und das Kolosseum noch einmal ganz in Ruhe erkundet. Leider konnten wir das mit gebuchte Forum Romanum nun nicht mehr sehen. Bei allen anderen Ticket ist dies kein Problem. Nur hier!!!!! Also bucht lieber bei einem anderen Anbieter.

Hello! We don't really understand what is the problem! You booked a Colosseum tour with access to the Palatine and Forum. The tour inside the Colosseum is 40 minutes + a short break for taking pictures. After the Colosseum tour, you meet the guide outside to take you for the second part of the tour. You didn't show up for the second part, so this is not our fault! Thank you!
