Not too long buy tickets ahead of time. Just makes it easier. You can go through without a tour or audio. The good stuff is at the end but audio explains the crypts

We got off to a slow skip the line start because a group of 100 (not a typo) was in front of our small group. Our guide did his best to get us started and to navigate around such a large group. I thought he handled the situation the best anyone could given the dynamics. Our guide was knowledgeable with a good sense of humor. The museum area and the crypts are amazing. It was a very interesting tour. I would recommend for adults and older kids.

My favorite experience. Slob was incredible! Best tour guide this trip! Great English speaker. He managed to balance the trip with historical facts and keep it enjoyable. The crypts were a beautiful experience with an eerie factor. Can’t recommend this tour enough.

Let me just say that this tour can not be compared with any other tour you've provably booked while in Rome (for example Colosseum and Vatican) since
Crypts are very small compared to other attractions. Therefore group size is reduced to MAXIMUM 10 participants and we do only tour a day.
In other words comparing price of Colosseum or Vatican Tour with this one is pretty unfair.

This was an interesting tour that was something different to see. Our guide gave thorough explanations & provided some humour to his commentary. He made sure everyone was comfortable when we were in the crypts since it can be somewhat of a claustrophobic environment. We would recommend this tour.

Eva was so sweet and had a true passion for the history of Rome and the Crypts.
She really engaged with us, and it felt very personal with only eight people. I thought about doing this without a guide, but it was so nice having the personal stories.
She really conveyed the spirituality and artistry of the crypt.

We had limited time before another longer tour, so this quick visit to the Capuchin Crypts was just right for us. We wanted to see something like the catacombs without going to the outskirts of the city. The church is very conveniently located. Tips: 1) Women must have shoulders and knees (barely) covered, but they will issue you a flimsy cover-up if you forget to bring your wrap. 2) NO PHOTOS are allowed. They have surveillance cameras and will catch you and call you out. I didn't try, but others in my group did. 3) I thought it would be cold, and was looking forward to cooling off on a hot July day, but the crypt is not really underground. Just down a half level, but after having gone up front steps of church. So you don't need to bundle up like in the real catacombs. 4) Nice little souvenir shop. Since you can't take photos, buy a couple of postcards instead and scan them at home for your digital photo album.

The only missing part in your review is the most important one, you never showed up at the meeting point.What you did is asked for a refund for being late.
If you miss the flight,I guess you will ask for refund as well,right?

This was a pretty short tour and we didn't learn too much so it was not one of my favorites. If you are prioritizing events I would put this one at the bottom of my list. Interesting, but others in Rome are better.

This was a very interesting tour! Our guide had a lot of knowledge on the subject matter and was very personable and patient with my nine year old daughter's questions. The crypts were eerie and beautiful. A very nice tour that does not take the whole day!

Rdv à 12h00. À 11h50, il n’y avait personne. Après avoir suggéré que nous étions arrivés en retard, le guide a heureusement accepté de nous rembourser. Nous avons patienté 40 minutes en plein soleil et jamais vu la crypte.

But these are the facts about it:
1.there are 15 other participants who joined this tour and all of them were abble to find a meeting point(i am almost 2 meters tall and impossible not to be seen).
2.you were the only 2 not being abble to find it
3.the fact is that you were not there at 11.50h as you stated ,because we were the only ones on the square at the time.
4.i even called you on mobile you provided while booking this tour.Guess what,you were unavailable .
5.you recieved your money back because that is the policy of this company despite the fact that you were late and unavailable
As a last thing ,instead of writing one star reviews,which is your legitimate right,I think you need to learn to be on time,just like the others because you are not better than the others
