Long day, great food.

o Picked up in a large Mercedes van that had seen its best days ages ago. Rattles galore and used shocks. Still … we were the only ones on the van so had lots of conversation with the driver. o It started in a beautiful small church that had a wedding that morning. Great pictures. o The second stop was in Frascati where we enjoyed a pastry before entering the summer home of the Pope. Once again, lots of stairs and climbing. I passed on the garden to avoid the steep walk. My wife says being fall, there wasn’t much to see anyway. The pictures in the house were great. o Ended in Nemi which is located in a dead volcano and is all about strawberries. We sat in a lakeside restaurant and had the biggest pizza I have ever seen. Paper thin. Instead of using a knife, we were supplied with scissors to cut our slices from the huge pie. Interesting and fun … and delicious!

Quick Respite from Rome

If you like to take a short break from Rome, suggest you take this trip and enjoy the short but quiet visits to Fascati and the towns around Lake Albano and Nemi. Our guide Alex Paolini did a fantastic job of bringing us around those places including booking us at Pagnanelli where we had o wonderful lunch from the restoranti's balcony overlooking the lake. Alex even gave us some esclairs to munch on the trip back. Be sure to request for him if you decide to go on this trip.

Calm and quiet and pretty views

We had a very nice time visiting the sites. The best of the tour was our tour guide Peter. He did a wonderful job taking us to secret little spots and the got us in to the best restaurant which was overlooking the Castelli Gandolfo lake. Called the Pagnanelli restaurant and wonderful food.

This tour is amazing and views are incredible! Castelli Romani are absolutely beautiful...could definitely get lost in the charming town. Alex, our tour guide, was awesome too! He's so friendly and knowledgeable. He made reservations for us at the perfect restaurant overlooking the water as well. Highly recommend this tour!

This tour was so much fun! Our driver Alex arranged a lovely lunch. The view from the restaurant was beautiful as was the food. We had a tour of the wine cellar too. We went to Nemi wear we tasted everything strawberry. It was a great day.

Paolo showed us an amazing day outside the city center of Rome. He was flexible with the start time and remained flexible throughout the day. Lovely Day in the "country"

We had a wonderful time on this tour, and would recommend it highly - a real change of pace from the crowds and urban environment of central Rome. Guiliano was an excellent guide - informative, patient, and accommodating. He adjusted the itinerary and schedule to allow for a visit to the Papal Palace in Castel Gandolfo and extra time spent over lunch at the excellent and scenic restaurant that he recommended.

Great sights to see with little tourists around. In this day and age where Rome is constantly packed with people, it's wonderful to be able to leave the crowded city for beautiful and serene lake view and good food

Our driver Alex was fantástic! Near of Rome. Beautifull places, lunch with an amazing VIEW! The walking was very easy… Good for sêniors and family, but IT’S also a good trip to famílias.

This trip was the best part of our stay in Rome. Our tour guide, Alex Paolini, was extraordinary. We visited these amazing towns, saw extraordinary views, and had an absolutely incredible meal. Alex was attentive and fun, explaining so much to us about the areas we were visiting. This was an anniversary trip and Alex provided us with a truly memorable and special day. Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting a truly special experience.

A Day to Remember

We enjoyed our tour to Castel Gandolfo, which included other charming towns, like Frascati. Having lunch at Ristorante Pagnanelli was the truly the highlight of our day. This is a magnificent restaurant overlooking Lake Albano. The food was the best meal we had in all of Italy. Alessio, our guide was so knowledgeable and knew the history of Italy. He made our tour more meaningful.

We did many tours while in Rome, and this one was the highlight! Paola was a fantastic tour guide! He catered the tour to our desires. We got sidetracked exploring places along the way, and he went with the flow. He was friendly, funny and informative. The towns, castles, and lakes were beautiful, and Paola knew the right spots to get the best photos. If you want to get out of the city and see some of the countryside, we recommend this tour.

We had an incredible day with Claudio! The van was spacious and comfortable for the five attendees. Claudio was kind, knowledgeable, and very fun to speak with. The locations were breathtaking, with a special callout to Ristorante Pagnanelli. A truly incredible dining experience with an amazing wine cellar. Claudio was a fun and engaging host, who elevated what would have already been a fun itinerary to a truly amazing day that we will surely remember for a long time.

We enjoyed our day but did not get what was described. Our driver seemed confused about what we were doing. We actually never did anything on the list and he was struggling to find stuff. He eventually found a vineyard. But we never saw anything on this list
