This was such a good time. Our guide, Alex, was very informative and a great conversationalist. Not to mention it was always available to take all our pictures. We were told all the ins and outs on how to get to the Falls, the shortest routes, and the more scenic. We were given a brief history of the forming of the gorge and even wants to be expected in the future. It was easy and laid-back tour. I would definitely take this tour again.

Shawn was an excellent guide. When he arrived at the hotel he had not been given my phone number even though I spoke to Paul the night before with concerns on meeting up. Paul told me he was doing a tour (I would have let the call go to voicemail) and that I was being very thorough. He assured me I had nothing to worry about. Actually I wasn't worried but had been told when I scheduled this tour that I would be contacted the night before. When that didn't happen I called. Shawn was very informative and pleasant. My only disappointment was that the explanation of this tour stated that we would get to walk around downtown Hood River to check out the cute shops - something we both were looking forward to. Shawn knew nothing of this and had our day well planned. It seems odd to me that I paid $398.00 for our tour and now, less than a week later, it is $278.00. I would have no problem recommending you to others however, I would warn them about the cost.

Yvonne, thank you so much for your positive review and feedback. I would like to clarify a few things. Our listing for this tour gives a rough narrative of what you can expect on this tour, since this is a combo tour featuring scenic stops, waterfalls, and at clients request a vineyard stop, brewery stop, or a stroll around downtown Hood River for non drinkers this was to be communicated by you which option you want (our default is a vineyard stop) as we cannot roll everything into the tour as that would become a 10 hour tour and I doubt the guests or our guides will be happy. To clarify, all of our bookings have instant confirmations and we do not call the night before, and I not recall mentioning that to you as I never have since I run the the travel agency. Also as far as your pricing concern, that is also not correct, we do not offer a private tour for $278 and you may be looking at another tour or looking at a larger group size and price per person goes down with tiered pricing. My general advise for future guests is to come with an open mind and palate to explore our amazing landscapes, food and wine scene and not be troubled by small nounces as this affects your enjoyment and the people with you. I have also come to the conclusion that the more input I get from clients with larger list's of demands there will always be something that upsets them and honestly set's a bad stage to have an amazing day to be hosted local experts who do this every day. Should you have a request, or really want to see something, it would probably be best to communicate that with your guide at the beginning of the day rather than assuming the guide knows exactly what your wishes and interests are. We are are always striving to improve and we thank you for your honest input.

Rain, Waterfalls and Wine: the full Oregon experience

The falls and scenery were beautiful and the vineyards quaint. Even though it rained the entire day, we had a such an memorable experience. Paul was a great tour guide and safe driver. Fun conversation throughout the excursion. Traveler tip: Make sure you pack rain boots or water-proof shoes, as well as a rain jacket/poncho. Even if its not raining, the mist from the falls warrants proper attire, which never crossed my mind. Needless to say, we looked a little weathered by the time we reached the vineyards.

Paul was really knowledgeable and offered a lot of interesting tidbits everywhere we went. We started the day off at Vista House, then several short hikes to waterfalls, followed by a great lunch by the waterfront, and finished with tastings at 2 wineries. The views were spectacular, and Paul was always ready to help our group take photos or offer fun suggestions. Everyone we met at each stop was also really kind. Overall, such a great day! Definitely recommend this tour.

First - everything on this tour is well worth seeing. All of the falls are spectacular, and Hood River is a charming little town. Our guide, Paul, could not have been better! He had picked out a hidden gem for a lunch spot, out of the way, but right on the waterfront. He took us to a beautiful little winery after we had a chance to stroll through Hood River. Overall, he was great to talk to, and very informative. If I could rate him higher, I would!
