Paul was a great guide, had a lot of local knowledge. Highlight of the tour was Coria, which had some amazing Pinots. Left from Salem so visited wineries in the area. Ankeny also had a wood burning oven that made some great pizza.

Alex was great and knowledgeable about the area and AVAs. He picked us up on time and made sure we were comfortable at each location. The tour was easy to book and Paul connected with us right away to start building the Itinerary. We would recommend them to others!

    Disappointing

    Donna_W, Sep 2024
We were disappointed in our Willamette Valley Wine Tour. This was the first time our friends had done a wine tasting tour in this region and our first time with this company. In our original booking, we were told lunch was included. The driver informed us that that was an error and to get in touch with "his boss" to make it right. I have yet to hear back. What should have been an eight-hour tour was barely six hours. We spent much of the time in the van as our guide kept getting lost. Sadly, our friends didn't have the same experience we've had when touring the Dundee/Dayton/McMinnville are for wine tasting tours. I don't think will book with this company again.

    Response from Host, Sep 2024

Oh Donna, I wish they had a platform to review you. Pretty much everything you have stated is inaccurate, and we very much regret that you went as far as blackmailing and threatening us with a bad review simply because you wanted a free ride. As far as your behavior that day, you refused to engage with our tour guide, who has received about 20 five star reviews this year. Yet you accused him of not taking enough pictures (which we don't have to especially if you are rude), occused him of getting lost and driving around (which is absurd we go to the same dozen or so vineyards, and my guide was there multiple times that week). You occused us of failing to buy you lunch (we don't advertise a lunch and have been selling the same tour for over 5 years). You occused us of not providing you a full day tour (you actually ended the tour early yourself because apparently the vineyard was not good enough for you). In addition to all this you went as far as sending us a blackmailing message to "make it right" (or refund you) which is both unethical, and also legally defamation since you are harming our reputation for baseless grounds. In summary, we would like to congratulate you for being blacklisted from any of our tours in the future, a title that only 1 other person has managed to achieve in 7 years operating and serving thousands of happy guests. For anyone reading this and thinking of behaving in a similar fashion (like being rude and disrespectful to our guides, accusing us of not paying for something we do not advertise as an inclusive item) simply put, DO NOT BOOK WITH US. We welcome new and seasoned wine travelers that are respectful of our policies, our guides and drivers and want to experience the best of Oregon with our industry experts who have worked with some of the best wine makers in the valley. Guides that know Oregon since childhood and can't wait to share all that Oregon has to offer with simple straightforward pricing with door to door pickup.

    Good but expensive.

    Irina_A, Aug 2024
I little bit expensive than it should be. Prepare to pay for tasting and lunch. Want to thank Paul for customizing the tour for us. That made a huge difference!

    Delicious experience

    Tiffany_B, Aug 2024
I have been on wine tours before and this was on point. Our guide was great and the wineries were amazing. I would definitely recommend this to any wine lover.

    Enjoyable wine tour

    Douglas_M, Jun 2024
A very nice tour with visits to 3 diverse and beautiful wineries with delicious wine. Communication with the tour guide was great. Jenn was an enjoyable and knowledgeable guide. Would recommend.

    Felt truly customized- so fun!

    Katie_P, Jun 2024
Alex was amazing!! He picked us up right on time, was a great communicator, and really made us feel like the day was about us. So much so that he “called an audible” and realized our group would like some other vineyards than the ones that were planned and he worked to get us reservations at the other places. It was seamless, and he was right. We did love those 2 places. He was willing to take pictures, made sure we had water, gave great insights to the area with history. We felt like he was a part of our group by the end. And of course the weather is completely out of anyone’s control, but it happened to be the most gorgeous day which made it all feel like a magical experience. Thank you Alex and Willamette Valley Wine Tour!

    Midwest girls in wine country

    Mary_C, May 2024
Alex was so fun and knowledgeable, he answered all our questions and some were really goofy! We learned about the Hazelnut crops, and why the soil here is a rich. He accommodated a slight change in the itinerary and showed us pictures of his adorable pets! We had the best time! 10 out of 10 Mary and Sarah from Iowa!

    Perfect Experience for Wine Lovers

    DavidandTam_H, Apr 2024
The door-to-door service was fantastic, especially on a wine tour so no one had to be the designated driver! Our tour guide/driver, Alex, was top notch. The experience was well worth the money!

Perfect Day in the Willamette Wine Country

    Brian_T, Sep 2023
Our family had a great time enjoying time together and enjoying the wines. We also enjoyed meeting other enthusiasts from different countries. Alex was a great driver and a fun guy.

    Loved this Tour!

    Donna_R, Sep 2022
What a GREAT day we had with Dasha, our tour guide! And thank you Paul for the great winery picks! Beautiful boutique wineries with great wine, food and views. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Also, as an FYI, this tour company did not cancel the tour when it ended up being my husband and myself. We booked another winery tour with another company on a different day and they cancelled because of the number of participants. We are grateful this company did not do that and are very appreciative. Please make sure to give this company your business. You won’t regret it!

    Response from Host, Sep 2022

Thank you so much for your feedback! And your thoughtful insights and praise means allot to us and we sure appreciate your business.

    The Perfect Day

    Catherine_R, May 2022
It was a perfect day. Our tour guide was exceptional, thank you Dasha she was so professional & informative. It was such a fun day

    A perfect day

    Bronwen_D, Oct 2021
We let the tour company pick our wineries since we didn’t know the area and they did a great job! Beautiful views, delicious wines, great lunch! A good time was had by all.

    Could have been better

    Beth_B, Aug 2021
We expected a guide and got just a driver. Plus more than one of the wineries we visited did not have a reservation for us. Finally, we were never contacted to ask what kind of wineries we were interested in or even to confirm our visit. The first contactWe had was when the driver showed up.

    Response from Host, Sep 2021

Thank you very much for your input. We are in the business of satisfying and pleasing clients and always strive to do so. In this case I also think you could have been better. The day started with my driver calling me and texting frustrated that you refused to wrap up your first appointment after it was explained that we are an appointment scheduled and must be on time, you choose to ignore that and by the time we arrived at the next location the vineyard assumed we had no reservations. Part of having an excellent day is allowing us to curate the perfect day and also you abiding by the Appointments, general etiquette of the experience for the day. I think it was very unfair that you made my driver day a nightmare by complaining, refusing to adhere to schedule and then leaving your one sided experience on the web. We have a simple reservation system with an automatic confirmation which most of our busy clients appreciate and like the ease of booking without the need to speak on the phone though we are always available should you have questions or input on what you want to visit. We are always striving for excellence and we are always hopefull to host lovely and generous visitors that want to experience our beautiful Willamette Valley. Most of our drivers are seasoned wine experts and even if your driver isn't, the 15 minutes between vineyards should not make your trip a negative experience. I wish you luck on your next journey. Cheers.

    Wonderful tour and guide

    Derek_M, Jul 2021
We had an amazing time. Our guide Kelly had a great knowledge of the surrounding area as well as food and wine and had a warm temperament and great enthusiasm as well. He showed as a good mix of wineries so the experience was varied from place to place. Very well thought out and executed tour. Can’t recommend highly enough

    Couples Wine Country Retreat

    Kristen_W, Apr 2021
Paul was very informative and took us to amazing wineries that were off the beaten path with beautiful views. Lunch was on point and reasonably priced. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience wine country in Oregon.

    Response from Host, Apr 2021

Thank you Kristen, it was an awesome day spent! Big hello to your friends.

    Best Willamette valley wine tour

    Alicia_C, Mar 2021
We had the best day with Paul touring around the Willamette Valley. He took us to 4 beautiful wineries and stopped by the Market to pick up lunch. Everyone at all of the wineries made us feel welcomed and allowed us to take our time at each one. Highly recommended!

    Perfect!

    Elliot R, Oct 2019
It was a great day with Paul. He knew the Willamette Valley very well and shared his wine knowledge with us. The winery visits and tastings were perfect. This is a must do trip!

    Great Day in the Valley

    Teresa_L, Aug 2019
We have done many wine tours in multiple countries and this tour ranked among the best. Paul picked us up at the hotel and provided exceptional service all through the tour. We visited four wineries and each was unique and a wonderful experience. Paul was extremely knowledgeable of the area, history, and the wineries and he was very flexible and accommodating with the time allotted at each place. The whole day was casual and relaxing and was a perfect start to a fabulous weekend. We all (four of us) were impressed with Paul and the tour and would highly recommend both for a great day in the Willamette Valley.

    Response from Host, Aug 2019

Thank you for visiting Oregon and allowing me to show you the best of the best in the Willamette Valley. Miss you guys:) Best, Paul

    So Disappointed!

    Patricia--TampaBay, Aug 2019
Aside from our opinion of Paul: wrinkled clothing, sarcastic and rude, I will stick to the facts: 1. He didn't have a name tag, signage on car, nor a proper introduction- unsafe these days, especially for two women. 2. He did not have water or snacks, as description stated. 3. Our tour was 6 hours, which was supposed to be 8 hours. 4. We asked for boutique winery's after we realized how expensive the tastings were at Stoeller and Archery- he took us to a friend of his winery (boring), and an outdoor winery (fun, yet generic)...we asked multiple times to go to the winery with the olive oil. 5. He mentioned he had a cool place for us to pick berries- after I reminded him, he abruptly turned onto a road, and picked berries (he was obviously upset). 6. When asked to play a song by Slash, he said "NO!". 7. He said "In my experience, the max wine tasting for people is 4 winery's". even though we had 2 hours to spare. 8. He said "I am starving, time for lunch", which by the way, we had only been with him for 1.5 hours. We were not opposed to having lunch, it was his tone, and body language- displeasing, to say the least. I could go on, yet hope this is enough. We went with Wildwood Adventures to the coast the day before, REPUTABLE AND WONDERFUL!

    Response from Host, Aug 2019

Oh Patricia, if only I had a way to review you.. Let's go over some details why our day could have been better, and perhaps as a deterrent in case anyone else tries to pull off what you did that day. First off, do not begin a tour by insulting the driver/guide as a first greeting (this should really have been the red flag to turn around and drop you off). As we ventured off visiting vineyards that you picked out, the first winery we battled thru it, by vineyard number two, you began dropping the "f bombs" about how expensive the tastings are and you want to go elsewhere. By using profanity at wine tastings, you were embarrassing me, and created a very unnecessary environment with the tasting room host. While again, this should have been a red flag to end the tour, I tried to appease you yet still. At lunch you got intoxicated, and because of your limited budget I agreed to take you to a vineyard where I'm a club member so you can have the tastings for free. On the way there, you began vaping your electronic cigarette when I has asked you not to. You were also spraying perfume, which is inappropriate since it is not your vehicle, and during wine tastings all perfumes or strong scents should be limited/refrained as they affect the sensory perceptions during wine tastings. At the next vineyard you continued to vape your electronic cigarette even though I asked you not to, many vineyards, including our stop was LIVE designated organic vineyard that prohibits any smoking or vaping. As long day was coming to an end, you began to blackmail me(with a potential for a negative review) reading the viator listing out loud indicating that the ad states approximately 8 hours and we were only 6 hours into the tour and then on top of that demanding that I play heavy death metal music. This was also, highly rude behavior, and our tatal tour lasted 7.5 hours. You are a very grown person approaching retirement, and I really should not have to say this but your behavior that day was beyond unappropriate. Your actions at the vineyards were also not in tune with basic etiquette of a vineyard setting, and I highly encourage you to make an effort on your next tours or travels to act and respect rules and norms of the event that you may be participating. I truly wish you the best, especially in your yoga practise and business, Namaste/Hare Krishna.

    Tour guide saves rating

    Carol_D, Aug 2019
The reason for the Good rating is because of Paul, our guide. He was very knowledgeable and was very accommodating. However, I was not impressed by the company brokered by Viator. I had made and paid for these reservations nearly a month in advance, yet never heard from them, except for emails for other Viator trips and the email to download our tour tickets. The instructions said that we would hear from the operator to confirm pick up and tour guide, nothing but crickets. Two days before the tour, I called the operator and spoke with Paul who gave me the name of the tour guide and we confirmed the pick up location. On the day of the tour, Paul ended up as our tour guide at the last minute....I assumed the original guide became suddenly unavailable. The whole thing felt ... disorganized. I work in the travel industry so I am used to a bit of last minute rescheduling but ... our guide was extremely underdressed, there was no water or snacks as advertised, and it definitely felt like Paul was stepping in at the last minute to cover down. I guess a expected a more professional organization for the price. But as I mentioned earlier, Paul was very knowledgeable about the area and was a good conversationalist, a definite asset.

    Beautiful and Fun Winery Tour

    Chauntel B, Jul 2019
Me and my friends booked this tour to explore Oregon wine country. We had a wonderful time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. We had a wonderful time and never felt rushed. Lovely tour and highly recommended.

good wine, great friends, excellent tour

    Kerri_H, Jul 2019
We had a fantastic day with Paul! He selected great boutique wineries, had excellent knowledge of the areas and the places we visited. We couldn't have asked for a better day! Thanks Paul

Enjoy the wine, don't spend your time driving in circles.

    Anna L, May 2019
The wineries are quite spread out. I didn't want to worry about drinking and driving and getting lost--wanted instead to spend more time actually enjoying the wine. Paul was a great driver/host. He was personable and knowledgeable enough to teach us about the Oregon wines and region while not hovering. There are simply too many good wineries in the area that you won't know about unless you go with a curated experience like this one. We had a really great time and will recommend it to our friends.

Fun and Exciting Willamette Valley Wine Tour

    reviewnator, May 2019
My wife and I had a wonderful time on this tour with Paul our driver. He showed us around the area and provided history of about the region. We're definitely looking forward to booking again when in the area. This was a great additional to my wife's birthday week. Thanks Paul for the great time and memories.
