Great local’s perspective to the waterfalls

Elizabeth_R, Jul 2026
Carrie was awesome! She is very knowledgeable about the local history and culture. Appreciate her showing us around and teaching us about local foraging options. My son kept picking thimble berries and enjoying them along our hikes. We checked out Powell’s Books and a good pod, per Carrie’s suggestions.

Highly enjoyable!

Our tour guide, Shannon, was extremely knowledgeable about the waterfalls, the Portland area and even the entire state of Oregon. She was also very personable and friendly. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the local area falls.

Save the hassle, go do chasing waterfalls

Whitney_S, Jul 2026
Sarah was a great, careful driver and so knowledgeable about local history, plants, even geology of the area. I get really anxious about driving on steep, curvy roads and she totally put me at ease. I didn’t have to miss out on the sights, but saved myself all the stress of driving there myself.

Multnomah Falls

Great trip to see the waterfalls in Oregon. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgable and the best part was having someone else do all the driving up and down the mountains. Wonderful experience that is a must do on a trip to Portland

Excellent Way to Visit the Columbia River Gorge

Stephen_S, Jun 2026
Marvelous way to see and learn about the Columbia River gorge, its history, landscape and waterfalls We visited 3 waterfalls - 2 after short and easy walks. Jane was an excelled guide - knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the geology, plant life, and birdlife. I had driven the famous roadway before and still found this tour very rewarding.

E_W, Jun 2026
Our guide James was very knowledgeable about a variety of topics ( local history, geology, flora and fauna) There was always something to see despite the rainy weather. The falls were beautiful and the flows were bigger with the recent rain so even more to see. James even pointed out some smaller falls along the roadside that were only flowing due to the recent rain. It was such a great trip and hassle-free since we did not have a car. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone. A local guide such as James has so much knowledge to share that we would not have gotten on our own. On the ride home, James encouraged us to ask for recommendations if we were interested in coffee, thrift shopping, or other sights to see and gave some great suggestions

Very Enjoyable

Waterfalls

Deborah_C, Jun 2026
Sarah was very nice. If I hadn’t been on a tour the day before with a different company, I may not have realized how much wasn’t shared about the individuals that donated the land & waterfall's, legacies, etc., I wish I’d selected the full day tour that included Mt. Hood with another company. Getting to the location was sketchy.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Hi there Deborah, I'm so sorry our approach didn't work for you as we are proud of it! Because so many companies locally do have a focus on the history of the early Europeans to claim land, we take a different tactic by emphasizing Indigenous history, the history of forests, botany and geology. The last century of land donations are a drop in a bucket of 16,000 years of human history and our books and historical markers and names focus sometimes exclusively on those. We take a different approach. It's great that you noted the difference; if someone is looking for celebration of land donations 110 years ago from land that was taken without compensation or treaty 175 years ago, please do book with another company.

it's just ok

Sally_E, Jun 2026
Tour guide was ok. We would have enjoyed it more with more interaction and enthusiasm. I would still recommend the experience of exploring the falls and the nearby area.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Sally, I'm sorry your guide didn't match your energy. Very often when we see reviews like this, it is a style mismatch as some of us prefer a calm and easy going approach to waterfall appreciation.

Wonderful

Lekaisha_H, Jun 2026
We had an amazing experience with Evan as our tour guide! He was knowledgeable, professional, and made the entire tour fun and enjoyable from start to finish. Evan went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and included, and his positive energy really made the experience memorable. He shared so many interesting facts and recommendations, answered all of our questions, and kept everything organized and stress-free. You can truly tell he cares about what he does. We’re so grateful to have had him as our guide and would highly recommend Evan to anyone looking for a great experience!

LOVED this tour

Monica_V, Jun 2026
We had a wonderful time on this tour. Angela was FANTASTIC! She is so knowledgeable, easy going and did everything to make sure that her group had the best experience. Thanks to Angela, we not only learned so much historical, geographical, cultural background but we also got the opportunity to experience the botanical wonders of Oregon first hand which was so fun!! We are not avid hikers, but enjoyed the hiking and walking portions of the trip as well.
