Hop aboard the Portland Spirit for a trip along the Willamette River with this sightseeing tour of Portland. Your captain will ferry you under some of the city's famous bridges and waterfront sights, and you'll have plenty of chances to take photos of the city right from the water. This boat tour is relaxing. You sit and drift slowly down the water. You see bridges, an old cement factory, speed boats, houseboats, beautiful lake-front homes, sail boats, jet skis, marinas, docks, coves and more. This is not a super entertaining boat ride. It’s to relax and enjoy the scenery!! So glad I went! Totally worth the money and time!

We took this cruise with our son and his girlfriend. This a great way to see Portland, and a lot less expensive than I would have expected.

The narration was informative. Good food service. The only real negative on the Crystal Dolphin vessel was limited outdoor upper deck comfortable seating and none of the space was covered.

Well organized. Sit upstairs, but get up there early to snag a seat. Great comatary on the river played over speakers. Bring a hat if sunny.

Minimal seating prior to departure. Too many people, minimal seating outside. No fans to circulate the inside air. Only food available was minimal and over priced for what you received. Spider cobwebs were everywhere, signs of lack of cleaning. You couldn't hear the moderator over all the people talking. Overall an unpleasant experience.

Nice, simple cruise. As someone who grew up in the area but hasn’t seen the city from the water in years, it was a good way to reconnect. My elderly father worked in downtown for decades and also enjoyed the stroll down memory lane. The crew were warm and welcoming. Their assistance in bringing my father up the ramp with a wheelchair made his participation much easier.

The boat was lovely and well staffed, I brought
my own water, and found a place in the shade for the trip. I should have worn a hat, so I got a little bit burned on my shoulders and forehead. Sunglasses are recommended. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Cocktails and food are extra, but not sure about the pricing, though the food I saw coming out on deck looked fresh and attractive. Perfect for a solo traveler 60+

I was aggressively yelled at by whoever you hired as a photographer for my Happy Hour Sightseeing tour on Saturday June 20th, 2026 3:30. This was utterly disrespectful and no way to treat a customer for what is supposed to be a premium experience. Your employees should treat your guests with respect not embarrass them in front of all the other passengers. This was completely unacceptable and ruined what should have otherwise been a good experience.

Fun, informational quick trip down river. Spacious boat cabin, not much deck space so get there early if you want a seat in top observation deck.

The Happy Hour cruise INCLUDES children. Buyer Beware! We thought because it was a happy hour cruise there would be no children and we were hoping more for a fun adult cruise with great music and a great happy hour venue.

We attended the happy hour. I went with my disabled mother who uses a walker. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The scariest part was the steep ramp to get down to the boat but everyone was super helpful. The narration was great and we learned about all the bridges and some city landmarks. The chicken nachos order was huge and delicious with plenty of cheese. And we ordered a pink zinger with the souvenir cup. Zinger was delicious but the cup is kinda plain and flimsy, nothing special. Service was super friendly. Everything was clean and the ac was nice and cool. They even have a cute gift shop on board. Absolutely loved the experience overall and would definitely love to come back again. We also love that it is family owned and operated.

This short boat ride down the Willamette River turned out to be very educational and a lot of fun. The weather was perfect on the day we sailed. We sat up top (after reading reviews about people not being able to hear the narrative down below) and had no problem hearing everything. We stood at a table along the side and had a perfect view of the sights along the river, including its many bridges. It was a very relaxing cruise with everyone seeming to have a great time and interacting with each other. Getting on and off was fairly easy but I would not recommend high heels. If you want to sit up top, it seems to fill up very quickly so arrive early.

Interesting history shared. Great views and comfortable seats. The second half of the trip other passengers were having personal conversations making it difficult to hear the recording. If you are interested in hearing it all try to sit by a speaker!

We're currently exploring options to add additional speakers under the observation deck awning to help with this. We do offer the narration via an app, too. There is a note to bring headphones for your cell phone if you wish to listen to it via the app. We appreciate your input and will share this information with the management team.

Nice, relaxing ride up the Willamette River. Pass under all the bridges that span from one side of the city to the other. Nice narration of the history along the Willamette River/ valley. Great views on both sides- city on one side, woods and beaches on the other side. Food and drinks/ cocktails available for purchase during the cruise.

If the Viator app is not working or you can’t print your tickets remotely, don’t worry, you are in the list and they will print your ticket at the booth for you to board. Easy boarding, great staff. Loved the happy hour cruise!!
