Itinerary
In the morning, meet your guide and small group at the centrally located Director Park, and depart downtown Portland.
Head first to the charming town of Troutdale, known as the Gateway to the Gorge. Stop at Vista House at Crown Point, which offers museum exhibits and dramatic panoramic views overlooking the Columbia River Gorge.
Next, discover two of the Gorge’s most striking waterfalls, Latourell Falls and Multnomah Falls. Visit the classic Multnomah Falls Historic Lodge and stretch your legs with a short hike to the falls’ prime viewpoint, Benson Bridge.
Head to Hood River, a picturesque valley town renowned as a prime destination for wind sports. Enjoy free time for lunch (own expense), followed by a scenic drive into Mt. Hood National Forest. Head to the Timberline Lodge, which offers impressive views of the the surrounding Cascade Mountain Range.
Finally, after a full day out, return to your original Portland departure point.

Enjoyed all the stops - learnt a lot about each location - history - a lot about Portland and Pacific north west. Our guide Dominique was magnificent and very knowledgeable- friendly - and gave us ample time to enjoy the sights
The air conditioned van was comfortable and she also gave us plenty of water to stay hydrated. Really appreciated her doing that since it was very hot. She is an amazing tour guide and we were lucky to have her on this tour, I highly recommend the tour to others

There are several stops including a fruit orchard and small town for lunch.
There’s no itinerary so we didn’t know this is advance. We might have eaten at the Lodge at Mt Hood if we had known.
The tour was very informative and we would recommend it! Our tour guide,Mel, was very knowledgeable.

Hi there!
We are unsure what you mean about their being "no itinerary", as our itinerary is very specific on all Viator booking platforms and anywhere else this tour may be booked. Timberline Lodge is a wonderful place, however our stop there is not at typical lunch time nor is the restaurant open.

The tour was good, the spots were nice. There could have been more scenic spots included in the itinerary. I was a bit disappointed as Mt.Hood was cancelled due to wildfire warning. They refunded some amount,but instead it would have been great if we had a chance to see Mt.hood from any other place close by.

Such a beautiful scenery took us to all the places. Sean was really awesome. all the waterfalls were very beautiful. They were not far away less than a mile to reach.

The tour was perfect. Plenty of time to explore and so much to see. Daniel was great. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour. 😃

Would not recommend this tour company. Our guide, Mel, seemed irritated for the entire tour (slamming the van doors, complaining about equipment issues, and making little to no effort to interact with the group or make travelers feel welcome). I don’t know if she was just having an off day, but it made the whole experience uncomfortable. Ironically, the friendliest she was the whole time was at the end, when she asked for tips.
This was a stark contrast to two other tours I took in Portland, where the guides were warm and genuinely made the trips memorable.
The itinerary also felt off. We spent 25 minutes at a fruit stand but only a few minutes at the actual waterfalls, which didn’t make sense (I suspect the company gets a kickback for the fruit stand stop).
I have this tour 2 starts instead of one because we still got to see some good spots. There are many other companies that offer these tours. I highly recommend going with them instead.

Guides do have occasional off days. If equipment was malfunctioning, we will do our best to remedy in the moment.
Looking at the GPS for your tour day, it does look like some of the waterfall stops were shorter than usual, but your Fruit Stand stop seemed in line with how long we often stay there (15-20 minutes). We want to assure you and any other guests that we do NOT get kickbacks from any vendor on tour. Our stops are chosen to be a representative of the best of the region, as chosen by our staff.
We are glad you had other positive experiences in Portland. Should you ever come back, we would love the opportunity to make it right.

This tour was such an enjoyable experience. The waterfalls and Mount Hood were breathtaking. The guide, Sean Connolly, was so fun and informative. He made the experience great. I loved his ecology fun facts and he even offered to take pics of everyone.

Time at each stop is a little short. But that's the nature of a tour this extensive. The views were gorgeous and Daniel was wonderful. Very knowledgeable. He also had plenty of recommendations for all sorts of things in Portland which was the best!

Outstanding tour! We were worried it would be too long of a day but there were plenty of stops to get us out of the van and enjoy the amazing scenery. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

This was an excellent experience!! Our guide and driver was Sean, and he was chock full of interesting facts about what we were seeing. He never rushed us, and we felt that we spent a good amount of time in every place. Granted, we did run over schedule, but he did check with the group to see if we had a need to get back to the city within a certain timeframe. I’ve done a lot of tours in my time, and I’d place this one up there with the best. This company and Sean clearly know what they’re doing and set a really high bar. Would highly recommend to all!

Amazing day spent seeing all the waterfalls. There is no way I would’ve been able to find all the waterfalls and the things to see on my own. It was so nice having time to look at things and be taken there. Our tour guide was also very thorough and knowledgeable

Wonderful tour, highly recommend. They know how and where to go so you can just sit back, let someone else do the driving and enjoy the sights and scenery. Waterfalls are amazing as well as the view from Vista House.

Our guide, Norther, gave us a wonderful running commentary on the communities, history, agriculture, geology, flora and fauna of all the areas through which we travelled. Our bus was clean and very new. She kept to the schedule and gave us plenty of time at the various sites of interest. I really couldn’t ask for better.

We had such a wonderful experience. Our guide was amazing and so helpful. Trying to help us get the best experience and went the extra mile to help us get special pictures. The van was new and comfortable. Cold water furnished. Neat little side stops to experience the culture.

Andy was the best tour guide! He is a manager that filled in for a guide. I am glad that he was the filler because we had an excellent experience. He was very knowledgeable and there were no dull moments. I learned so much on this tour. The destinations were beautiful and I have great pictures and memories. I highly recommend this tour and I recommend requesting Andy to come out of the office.

No need for any hiking gear/shoes; just comfortable layers for cooler morning stops and sun protection. Friendly tour guides knowledgeably answered questions without forcing factoids down your throat. Comfortable van, plenty of restroom breaks, beautiful views, cold water, smooth trip all around.

It was a fantastic tour, I saw everything within a short amount of time.
Do not hesitate to book! You will get to climb a volcano, see waterfalls, and 1 hour opportunity to eat lunch in a small town.

It was super fun the entire day! From the moment we left Portland, everything was well-organized and enjoyable.
Our tour guide Aaron was fantastic, super knowledgeable and passionate about the area. He shared so many interesting facts and stories about the waterfalls, the history of the gorge, and Mt. Hood that made the experience so much richer. He was also really friendly and made sure everyone was having a good time. The scenery was stunning and it felt so peaceful and exciting at the same time. The whole trip was a great mix of adventure, nature, and relaxation. If you’re in Portland, this tour is a MUST-DO! I had such a great time and would definitely go again. One of the best experiences I’ve had in Portland!!
