This was a small group in a van. Damon, our guide spent the whole 3+ hour tour giving us a history and current info on each of the Portland neighborhoods we traveled through or stopped at. We have lived in Portland suburbs for 50+years, but we don’t get into the city very often. This was a great tour for us to get reacquainted with Portland, and to see it from a tourist perspective. The other 4 people in our group were all from the east coast, and summer in Oregon is a nice break from the heat and humidity of their current weather. It would have been the perfect day for a Portland tour if not for the haze from wild fires. My spouse and I have taken a few tours this summer of “our city” and this was the best so far. Learned a lot, caught up on changes to the city, and loved that this tour covers all of the inner city and the burbs. This is the perfect time of year for tourists to see Portland.

Our tour guide, Damon, was just great! He was funny, informative and knew so much about every neighborhood in the city. I really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more or learn what it where they might want to revisit.

Take this tour to get a quick, yet comprehensive and personable, overview of the city of roses! Afterwards, you will know spots you'll desire returning to or avoid based on one's interests. The 3 hours alloted to cover the city was just right...two thumbs on this little adventure!!

Not worth the 98.00 each. All our driver did was drive around and give us tips on plans to eat. Would of likes to spend more time at the Rose garden

Our tour guide did an excellent job telling the story of Portland and showing us the different neighborhoods in the city. Our experience felt very customized to our particular interests. We ended up with a small group of five, which made it perfect to hit the major attractions on the tour. However, our guide quickly adapted to our personal interests and told some interesting stories about Portland's history and pointed out several fantastic restaurants. This is definitely a tour I recommend as soon as you arrive to the city. It will save you several hours of research, because you will end up with so many places you want to go back to visit.

We left about 10 minutes late waiting for the last of the group and returned about 5 minutes early. When we crossed the Hawthorne Bridge, the traffic was heavy, so I'm not sure what we were supposed to see on that side of the river, but the driver crossed, turned around and then drove us back to the starting sight. I booked this tour to see the different neighborhoods which we did little of. The driver drove around Pioneer Sq. 4 or 5 times which left me wondering if we were ever going to see anything else!

Your comments about the bridge crossing and time spent around Pioneer Square are surprising. Eric receives 5-star reviews for his neighborhood tours, so I will check into what happened on that day. It’s a great tour! Our tour guide Damon was knowledgeable about the history of Portland and made it a fun, wonderful experience. There was a tour guide helper who provided tour details for Spanish speakers as well. Damon came prepared with water bottles, candy, and umbrellas for the rain which we appreciated and this added to the experience being so positive. Highly recommend.

I went on this tour solo, and Damon was an amazing guide — super knowledgeable and friendly, which made it feel easy and fun even on my own. I learned so much about Portland’s layout, history, and the up-and-coming “new Pearl District.”
The tour had such a great mix: the local history, amazing graffiti and street art, artisanal chocolate tasting, and wandering through cool residential Portlandia-style neighborhoods. What really stood out were all the local stories and insider tips Damon shared — it gave me a real sense of the city’s vibe and what’s happening locally.
Highly recommend this tour if you’re traveling solo or with friends — you’ll get a fantastic, authentic Portland experience.
