Saw stunning waterfalls and the beauty of the gorge and river and the major mountains in the area. Learned about the history and fascinating geology of the area. Went to one winery, which was lovely and had some excellent wines. We were the only people on The trip so our experience was probably unusual; it fostered our interaction with our guide, who was personable and knowledgeable.

Luke was a phenomenal tour guide. It ended up just being myself and my boyfriend on the tour that day, so we were able to do things kind of at our own pace. We saw many beautiful falls, and Luke was super informed about the local plants and landscape, including local legends. He also very kindly acted as our photographer. The wine at the winery was excellent, and having the tasting included in this tour made it so seamless and was a big reason we went with this tour compared to other ones. My boyfriend who is not even a big wine drinker even enjoyed his flight. Multnomah falls was breathtaking and it was so nice not to have to worry about the parking situation. I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Portland that wants to see some of Oregon's beautiful nature, waterfalls, and wine country.

Gorgeous scenery and a great day!

Jaime_O, Jun 2026
We were picked up at our hotel right on time. We lucked out and only had two other people on our tour. Elijah, our guide, was so knowledgeable and nice! The Columbia River Gorge was gorgeous, we visited so many waterfalls. The original winery we were supposed to visit was unexpectedly closed, but Elijah had it resolved so fast, and we went to the most beautiful place, you would never know it wasn’t the original plan! The tour provided snacks and drinks, which was awesome since we happened to visit when it was 95°. It was so beautiful and it was great to be able to see all of the scenery without having to worry about driving. 5 stars, would recommend!

Waterfalls AND Wine? Yes Please!

Cheree_G, Oct 2025
I’m so glad we took this half-day tour with Luke from Evergreen Escapes. He went out of his way to make it special and we were blown away by all the thoughtful touches, such as a delicious charcuterie tray of local snacks to have with our wine tasting. Luke also led us on a short hike to Latourell Falls while pointing out interesting facts about the trees and plants. Multnomah Falls was magnificent and we had enough time to see the falls and the lodge. We felt like family on this tour! Highly recommended!

Perfect couples experience

Such an amazing experience! Lucas was wonderful, make the group quickly feel comfortable together while sharing a ton of area knowledge. The waterfalls were stunning and the winery is not to be missed. Loved our experience and would do it again.

Columbia River Gorge Waterfall tour

Jacqueline_S, Jul 2025
Luke was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and the history/formation of the attractions. The falls were beautiful and we were able to hike a bit for even more stunning views. The bus was comfortable and Luke provided good snacks and drinks- it was in the 90s when we went so the AC felt divine. It was a long day but the short trips broke it up so it went fast. The winery was small, locally owned and fantastic. A good variety of whites and reds. I’d highly recommend this tour because you’re able to see so many waterfalls, see the mountains, learn a lot, enjoys so wine all in a few hours

We had a great afternoon...

We had a great afternoon with Luke as our guide. Lots of information about the area in a relaxed atmosphere. We had plenty of time at each waterfall to enjoy the area and learned a lot about the surrounding area. The wine tasting was excellent in a beautiful setting. Definetly recommend this tour

Absolutely amazing!!

Great Scenery, Great Tour Guide!

James_J, Dec 2019
The waterfalls and scenic Columbia River gorge were spectacular, keep your camera handy! Two unique wineries in Hood River had excellent locally sourced vintages for tasting/purchase. Beth, our guide, was SUPER! She’s very fun and knowledgeable about the area’s history and flora and a wonderful host. It was rather cold, and she broke out a French press and made us fresh coffee to warm us up at one of the waterfall areas! Then she provided a classy artisan cheese/fruit/charcuterie plate for us to enjoy at the wine tastings! We are so glad we went on this tour, and will definitely remember it and recommend it to anyone looking for a great way to experience this part of Oregon.

Beautiful scenery, but more guide information would have been nice (she talked about her family a lot)

teresau1218, Nov 2019
The tour was delightful in that the scenery was beautiful, we had the right amount of time at each stop and the guide was pleasant. The wineries chosen were interesting and made us very comfortable. The guide could have provided much more information about the area and sites - she mainly talked about her family.

Great way to see Portland waterfalls

Anna R, Oct 2019
Beth was the best tour guide I have ever had. She is a wealth of information. She also surprised us with treats, water, hot tea and coffee, and a charcuterie board as we were wine tasting. This is a must see if when in Portland.

5/5 Stars

Laureen_S, Oct 2019
My sister and I loved the whole day. The tour was amazing, beautiful and fun. I was so impressed by our tour guide Beth. She was knowledgable and passionate about the area. Timely with departure and each stop. And, very organized with the snacks and drinks. Thank you!

Wonderful Combo Meal of Trip...Waterfalls & Wine

Robert_W, Oct 2019
Highly energetic & friendly tour guide Jordan who had water, coffee and even brownies for us in a very comfortable van with good mixture of stops & friendly people. The 2 winery stops was a nice touch to finish up after all the lovely scenery. Highly recommended

Beth did an excellent job on this tour of three waterfalls and two wineries. The folks at both wineries were very gracious and informative.

Most excellent adventure

Bob was wonderful, thoughtful and very knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Never been here before and and wonderful introduction

Excellent Value

Walter_M, Sep 2019
This tour was one of the best values we've seen. Altogether it lasted about 7 hours. I'm not sure it was supposed to last that long, but our tour guide Beth made sure we had all the time we needed at each attraction after finding out no one in our group had to be back at a certain time. She was a very knowledgeable guide, born and raised in the Portland area. It included several spectacular waterfalls and wine tasting at two wineries. The wine tasting fee was even included in the tour price. The choice of attractions combined with Beth's knowledge and eagerness to accommodate everyone made this a fantastic value. I would recommend it highly to everyone.

Highly recommend!

Daniela_E, Sep 2019
We had a fantastic time! Our guide Beth was super fun and knowledgeable! We loved how accessible everything was and the wine was delicious.

Great tour and guide

MilesB_L, Sep 2019
Enjoyed the layout of the tour and and the knowledge and upbeat manner of Paul the guide I would definitely recommend it as the best half day tour out of three we did

Good way to explore the area!

Emily_E, Sep 2019
Our tour guide, Paul, was knowledgeable about the area and very attentive. We saw a taste of Portland's spectacular views and waterfalls. Two wineries gave a glimpse of the local offerings. It was a good, comprehensive tour.

So much fun!

Kimberly_K, Aug 2019
I would highly recommend this tour! We saw some gorgeous falls and the wine was excellent (coming from someone who is picky).

Falls and winery tour

Nanette_A, Jul 2019
We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Aaron was very friendly and a great tour guide. Suggestion: Start the tour earlier so we could have spent more time at the falls. Choice of wineries to stop at were great.
