Loved the trolly ride. The day couldn't have been more beautiful. It was easy to jump on and off where we wanted. I did lose my phone and grabbed it at the next stop. (Luckily I caught up to the trolley by running behind it) STILL it was a great day and a spectacular adventure filled with some truly breathtaking views.

A fantastic way to experience the gorgeous waterfalls! Trolley made it easy to spend a little or more time at each of the stops. We chose to hike a few falls and view others. Drivers kept to schedule and were helpful & friendly.

    Wonderful Waterfall tour

    AMANDA_R, Sep 2025
The trolley was great. Enjoyed being able to choose how long we stayed at a stop. There are options for both novice and experienced hikers.

    Laurie_B, Sep 2025
The waterfalls are beautiful, and if you plan to spend the day at a relaxed pace, the hop-on hop-off trolley can be a good option. However, be aware that with only two trolleys running, the wait time between stops was often close to an hour. Adding at least two more trolleys would make the service much more convenient, ideally with pickups every 30 minutes. The staff was friendly, though the narration along the route was minimal.

    Excellent t way to go

    Great experience!

    Tammy_M, Aug 2025
Fabulous experience and we got to move at our own pace. The trolley car driver. I wish I could remember. Her name, was fabulous. She was able to give us great information on where to travel and we could decide what activity level we wanted. We had lunch at Multnomah falls restaurant. Fabulous food!

    Great ride!

    Gary_C, Aug 2025
This is so much easier than driving your car and looking for scarce parking spaces! Plus i learned quite a bit about the history and natural beauty of the gorge! The drivers are great and informative!

    Perfect day in the trolley

    Julie_B, Aug 2025
The trolley was perfect! We loved how easy & convenient this was…it’s a terrific way to see The Gorge & waterfalls!

    Efficient, fast and friendly

    Pamela_D, Aug 2025
Very efficient no stress of trying to find a parking place, on and off is very close to the falls at each location, overall a great experience and very pleased that we did it. Also, our driver was extremely friendly, very cooperative, very informative and I believe his name was Chris. And we were impressed with how close they adhered to the schedule just within minutes of when they were due to arrive.!

Upseting situation with the whole process ,

    Maria_D, Aug 2025
We didn’t have the best experience with the pink trolly but oh my this one was the worse , we were late for 4 minutes they didn’t wait for us but they can be late to pick you up for 40 mins . I saw people hanging from the top very scary to be there with kids , drivers are rude , hate it all so we uber instead I asked for my refund but I haven’t hear anything yet

    Response from Host, Aug 2025

i do not understand your review. It is listed as the Waterfall Trolley but you mention the pink trolleys and something about the kids hanging from the top. We have no top that they can hang from. We don't wait for late guests as a courtesy to those guests that arrive on time. The service on the pink trolleys is every 45 minutes and at no time have we been 40 minutes late. This is the first review that has ever mentioned rude drivers. Are you sure you were on our tour. We have not received any refund request from Viator regarding your tour. Again are you sure you have reviewed the correct tour?

    Fun day in the Gorge

    Debbie_B, Aug 2025
It was so fun. Perfect day to hike when you want or just ride to the different falls. Get off and have lunch at the Lodge. Excellent food

    Waterfall tour

    Timothy_H, Aug 2025
The people are very friendly but my only complaint is they do not have enough trolleys running. If you are hiking one of the trails then fine but just to see the waterfall you could be waiting almost an hour before the next trolley comes your way. Only 2 trolleys running the day we went. I’m not sure if they ever have more running at a time.

    Response from Host, Aug 2025

The website and the schedule you were given clearly shows the 1 hour intervals. We would like to run more trolleys but we would have to raise the price to in excess of $50 which would price it out to the affordable range. You could have reversed yourself several times and reduced the time between trolleys. We have had guests do seven hikes in a day by preplanning and doing that. I am sorry that the timing did not meet your expectations.

    Breathtaking views

Richard was amazing ! He has funny jokes and he likes pizza! Would recommend for anyone visiting the area for the first time, it’s a must!

    Friendly

    Betty_R, Aug 2025
Beautiful falls and plenty of time to see them. The drivers were very friendly and helpful. Nice visitor shop.

    Worth the money!

    Michelle_W, Aug 2025
We loved this stress free experience. At the time the road was closed from Corbet (the starting point) to all the falls. They take you on a coach bus to Multnomah falls. from there the trolleys take you up & down the route. I highly recommend the 0.4 hike at Ponytail falls that take you behind the waterfall.

    Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for the five stars.

    Excellent tour

    PaulD_J, Aug 2025
Several waterfalls you have to walk to. But several you can see easily . Tour guide very knowledgeable.

    Response from Host, Aug 2025

    wasted time

    Wade_D, Aug 2025
This was misleading at best... hop on hop off implies your ability to not waste time... having a trolley running every hour does not get that done ... a lot of wasted time - certainly not worth $74 for 2 people - also Road was washed out so starting point that you should drive to was better to happen from falls # 7 multnomah falls - instead you drive 20 extra minutes then ride a coach for 20 minutes

    Response from Host, Aug 2025

The highway closed on July 5 and this is very well explained on our website. You can drive to each Falls but fighting for a parking or waiting for a parking place will take much longer than the 20 minutes to get to our new starting location. I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations but but the alternatives are to fight for a parking space, park illegally or not see the falls at all. You also don't learn anything about the area when you drive it yourself. Our are touring narration is highly rated and professionally recorded. I am sorry you did not find that valuable

    Great experience

    Ethiopia_K, Aug 2025
The tour experience was very great. We saw beautiful waterfalls, took short hikes, and saw many great views. We got to pick which stops to exit on and view close up but a lot of the waterfalls were visable from the trolley too. The drivers were very nice and helpful. My family and I had a wonderful expience overall!

    Easy Floatin

    Pat_S, Aug 2025
Just loads of fun. Relaxing. Lots of floats in the water but plenty of room for all. Would do again. 123456789

    Great time with breathtaking views!

    AmyBarker, Aug 2025
Was so great!! Really enjoyed all the beautiful views and the educational narration - especially from a trolley!. Friendly, knowledgeable and personable drivers. Was a really great experience.

    Not worth the money

    Autumn_B, Jul 2025
They didn’t warn us that a main road was closed so the route was kinda difficult to understand. It was way over priced for what we got. We thought it would be a guided tour and it was just them driving us to free locations with little to no explanation.

    Response from Host, Jul 2025

There is a GPS trigger narration on all the tolleys and there has been no reports of them not working. All the attractions are present on the tour even with road closed just east of our traditional starting location. You we shuttled to and from our temporary starting point and got the entire route with 5-6 waterfalls visible from the trolley and depending on your departure time there should have been time to hire several of the falls. You were told at the sales booth there was a portion of the road closed. In summary, we are not sure what tour you were on but it may not have been ours. See the balance of our reviews for a better understanding of our level of guest satisfaction.

    Friendly people, easy ride

    Nubia_F, Jul 2025
People were very nice and accommodating. We missed our tour because of a flight delay but got to another tour without a problem, but that is when you notice that you can just take your car and go on your own at you own pace. We have to wait a long time for our bus.

    Go in the morning, that...

    Fred_M, Jul 2025
Go in the morning, that way you have longer to see the sights. We went in the afternoon and only saw a couple of the gorgeous sights.

    Donna_P, Jul 2025
It was such a great experience! Perfect for tourists! I wanted to see all the waterfalls but I really didn’t wanna have to worry about the traffic and parking and this was a perfect alternative to that.

    Lots to see

    Sophia_E, Jul 2025
It was great. will come again and take some of the hikes they have to offer. Easy to get on and off Trolly.

You should take a bus tour

    Aileen_R, Jul 2025
You should take this bus tour. You don’t have to worry about the parking spot and some point road is very narrow you need to be careful. We took a tour early morning so bus driver stopped each point to let us take a photos because passengers are only 4.

    Beautiful place to see

    Jennifer_O, Jul 2025
The sights were breathtaking. The drivers were very helpful. You need to be aware that there is an hour between hop off and on. Which is way too long for some of the falls. Not sure why they don’t have more frequent trolleys, there were only two. One in each direction.

    Skip the afternoon trolley

    Dena_P, Jul 2025
We were not made aware until we were on the tour, that our 2 PM tickets made for an abbreviated trip, That is, we got to "Hop on" but had virtually no "Hop off", and so we didn't get to take pictures, take a walk, explore or enjoy each of the falls. Had we known this in advance, we would have not paid the amount just for a trolly ride and drive by views. For 3 of us, that was over $100 and we couldn't even hear the tour info. I think it was a lovely area, but I would not recommend the afternoon trolly if you want to look around. I wish they offered the afternoon patrons a lower cost per ticket, that would have made more sense.

    Response from Host, Jul 2025

At 2 pm you could have hop off one or two times. All guest groups are given a schedule and they are available on the trolleys and are online. How you plan your day is up to you. If you could not hear the tour we wish you had said something to the driver as the volume is adjustable. The trolley pauses in front of each waterfall as if can for pictures if you choose not to get off at that stop so I don't understand the comment that you could not take pictures. We are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations.

    Courteous and knowledgeable

    Mary_Y, Jul 2025
The driver was the courteous and knowledgeable. He taught us about the history the area. Scenery was absolutely beautiful

    Response from Host, Jul 2025

We're glad you had a great experience with us! Thank you for the great review!

Misled and voucher taken for incorrect tour

    Elsa_C, Jul 2025
I purchased a tour for July 16 for the Multnomah Falls. I had a very disappointing experience with the Grey Line Tours departure at 846 SW Park, by the pink house. I showed my Viator voucher to a staff member and told him multiple times I was trying to go to Multnomah Falls. He directed me to the pink tour bus, which turned out to be the wrong tour. Once we reached the first stop, I realized the mistake and informed the driver, who told me to wait until we returned to the starting point to get help. I called the Viator number listed on my voucher, but they refused to reschedule, saying I had missed the correct tour. Despite explaining the mix-up and asking several times for help identifying the correct tour, no one was willing to assist or offer a resolution without making me pay again. This was incredibly frustrating and felt like very poor customer service. At this point I would like my credit card refunded

    Response from Host, Jul 2025

You purchased the tour that starts in Corbett but you mistakenly choose to try to board that tour in downtown Portland. We did you best to accommodate you when you could not find your voucher and the downtown trolley was minutes from departure, but it was your mistake not ours. Many Viator guests successfully get to and ride the Waterfall Trolley and we are sorry that you were not among them. Your review is unfair as you did not go on the tour as 32 other Viator guest did on that day

    Great
