Relaxed and informative. Ideal for those who are interested in the War of Independence. Good Visitor Centre too.

First, communication was superb regarding impact of government closures and reminders. Second, Rick was extremely knowledgeable about the historical sites and Philadelphia overall. Sad more people do not see this historic site. Great tour that I will recommend to friends!

We loved this tour with Tom! Valley Forge is one of his favorite places and it showed as he dove in deep to the history of this very important place and gave us a new appreciation of what the men and women there endured for our freedom. Since the Visitor’s Center was closed due to the government shut down, Tom added a very interesting stop along the way for us that we didn’t even know about. Definitely recommend this tour!

James did an awesome job. He was full of information and was also funny. He gave us time to look around areas of Valley Forge, such as the visitor center, wood huts, George Washington's headquarters. I highly recommend!

Punctual pickup! My guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. During the drive to and from Vally Forge he explained many interesting historical facts and information. At Valley Forge he answered my questions with enthusiasm. At one point he wasn’t sure of an answer and immediately asked a Park Service Ranger for the answer.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, kind, and interesting. We really enjoyed our trip.
Good things to know: bring water. There are a couple of bathroom stops at Valley Forge with clean bathrooms and soap & water.

Tom was a great tour guide. I really appreciated his extensive knowledge and candor about Valley Forge, George Washington, General Knox and more. He had a great sense of humor and was great with the kids in our party. They kept running up to walk with him. The tour was everything I hoped for at Valley Forge. I mistakenly reserved a tour out of Philly when I was going to Valley Forge so we connected and I was able to enjoy the tour without the ride to and from Philly.

Adam was our guide and he was a wealth of knowledge that kept it interesting through the entire day!

Dale was such a great tour guide. He’s knowledgeable, personable, and flexible. We had a great time chatting, laughing, and talking history with him. At the end of the tour, he had a great restaurant recommendation. Dale and the Valley Forge tour were the best part of our trip!

I was amazingly the only one booked for this trip and it was awesome! James was great at imparting all of his historical knowledge without it being awkward with me being the only one. I highly recommend this tour! Even with a group, there would be plenty of time to walk around and see everything.

Laura was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a lovely tour of the countryside on our way. She was respectful of our history, yet honest about its complications.
She listened to our feedback and tailored our stops to our interests.

Dale did a superb job of navigating the Philly streets and highways while providing excellent background information. Also, he did an excellent job of providing appropriate information about Valley Forge. Finally, his personality was a perfect match for us.

Great tour and conversation with our guide. She did a great job revealing all aspects of Valley Forge history, daily life, struggles for revolutionary army’s training and survival after very rough start of 3 battle losses against British troops in the early days of 8 year revolutionary war against British rule.
Michael_W, Mar 2025
Marty was great. He was very knowledgeable, patient and accommodating. He shared lots of relevant and entertaining history. Well worth the price!

Absolutely amazing. Went in the winter and saw Valley Forge as the continental army would've back then with the snow and freezing cold.
Adam was an amazing guide, very friendly and had extensive knowledge not only about Valley Forge but all aspect of the revolutionary war. I thought I knew a lot, but Adam managed to fill in gaps of my knowledge.
11/10. Would definitely recommend, especially if you have a passion for history and the revolutionary war.

Washinton Headquarters was fascinating, but everything was really very interesting. A unique, very cool, happy accident-We happened upon a group of people taking the oath of citizenship at the von Steuben statue! Marty was the absolute best guide. He suited our needs and interests perfectly. His knowledge, his personality, and his love of history made our tour an unforgettable experience!
Melinda_H, Oct 2024
Adam was an excellent tour guide and knew all of the answers to our questions. I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves history

Marty was a wonderful guide. He was personable, pleasant, knowledgeable, and fun. My 13-year-old grandson truly enjoyed the whole experience in gained a wealth of information. As a homeschooler, he is used to having hands on experiences, and this proved to be Another level of first hand exposure to much of the practical tools of military Regiment of the day. All of this was enhanced by beautiful weather and gorgeous scenery with the leaves turning all beautiful colors. Marty was great at answering her questions and was very patient and kind. One of our favorite things was the beautiful chapel. We left feeling a profound gratitude for all who persevered and sacrificed to give us our freedom.
