This was a great tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable. Gave us fun history facts along the way. Food choices were excellent. You will definitely get full on this tour. Would definitely recommend a family and friends. Tour guide gave us facts in history. He was very organized. Made sure that we were safe while crossing crossing street streets.

This tour definitely met our expectations. We were able to try several of Philadelphia's signature foods. Our guide, Steve, did a very good job explaining information and also managing the logistics of the group.

This was a great experience with an appropriate amount of food. You get to try out a few different places and get all the history from a knowledgeable guide. Kaitlin was our guide and I was thankful we got her as well. She also pointed us to some other food and interestibg places to check out as well for the rest of our adventures.

This is more of a city history tour than a food tour . We always book food tours when we travel and this was the first time we have been disappointed. The pretzel ( not a whole one just a piece ) was cold and hard and we didn’t get to try any of the dipping sauces they had . The rest of the food was just ok not what you expect when taking a food tour. We got a bottle of water at the beginning of the tour but was offered nothing else to drink . I would not recommend taking this tour if you’re looking for a good food tour unless you want a history tour and don’t care about the food part .

We’re sorry this tour didn’t strike the balance of food and Philly history you were hoping for. That said, our Flavors of Philly tour is absolutely a food tour; guests enjoy hearing about the stories, fun facts, and significance behind all food items including two seated segments and ending the tour in the country's oldest indoor food market (Reading Terminal Market), but this is what we feel makes it a special tour experience. We include bits of local history while passing landmarks, which most guests see as an added bonus to the food experience. We’re proud to feature the famous foods Philly is known for, and many guests leave pleasantly full and surprised by how much they learn about our city’s food scene. We’re sorry this wasn’t your experience. But definitely DO NOT book our Historic Happy Hour Food Tour of Old City because that has a lot of food AND a lot of history.

We took a Philly food tour with Steve as our guide, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! There were four of us in our group, along with another guest, and Steve made everyone feel welcomed right away.
What stood out most was Steve’s deep knowledge of the city—he shared fun historical stories that connected beautifully to the foods we were tasting and the buildings we passed. We especially enjoyed learning about the history of the Philadelphia pretzel and the cheesesteak. He also introduced us to dishes we may not have tried otherwise, like tomato pie, and helped us appreciate the traditions and flavors behind them.
Beyond the food, Steve kept the tour fun and engaging. He made us laugh often, walked at a pace that was comfortable for me (I’m 60), and showed a genuine kindness throughout the experience. His combination of storytelling, humor, and thoughtfulness made this so much more than just a food tour—it felt like exploring the city with a knowledgeable friend.
I highly recommend this tour, especially with Steve as your guide. You’ll leave with a full stomach, a lot of laughs, and a deeper appreciation for Philadelphia’s history and food culture.

Our guide Steve was very knowledgeable and interesting. One of the tasting venues had no place to sit to experience the restaurant. We stood out on the street. The rest was perfect.

Our Flavors of Philly tour is designed with two seated stops where guests have about 25 minutes to relax and enjoy their tastings. The other stops are for pretzels or desserts, which are quicker by design and either walk-up shops or inside the Reading Terminal Market. We never intended to falsely advertise that a significant portion of time is spent sitting but appreciate your honest feedback.

Owen was an awesome guide! He is a great storyteller and I enjoyed learning about the history of Philly from him! We were a little late for the tour due to traffic and Owen communicated with us and kept us updated on their current location on the tour. We missed the first 2 stops and he saved food from the those locations and gave it to us when we arrived. I deducted one star because the food stops along the way weren’t very good but it was still a fun experience! I would love to this again with different restaurants.

Tour guide Adam was great! The food was good and we got some fun history along the way. The walking path was manageable, there are parts of the tour that there isn’t much seating so I would not recommend for anyone who requires lots of sitting breaks.

Adam was one of the best food tour guides we ever had. He shared his extensive knowledge for the food we had the pleasure to eat on the tour - the tomato pie, Philly cheesesteak, pretzels, fries with cheese whiz, and finally delicious donuts and cookies at the Reading Terminal Market. Participants get a genuine sense of the Philadelphia food scene and the history thereof. Sprinkled in is information about the formation of
Philadelphia including founding father William Penn. We tasted tomato pie (delicious!) Philly pretzels (yum!) Cheesesteaks, cheese covered fries (just okay) and a local cookie and donut at Reading Market (had to save for later; I was stuffed!) Our guide Adam did a great job navigating traffic and crowds with our group. We also appreciated the visual aids Adam utilized when talking about Philly history. A fun day!

This was a fun experience with just the right amount of walking between the spots where we sampled different foods the city is known for. The guide also provided nice commentary at each stop and about sights we were seeing along the route.
