This was a great tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable. Gave us fun history facts along the way. Food choices were excellent. You will definitely get full on this tour. Would definitely recommend a family and friends. Tour guide gave us facts in history. He was very organized. Made sure that we were safe while crossing crossing street streets.

Kaitlin was a great tour guide who was passionate about food and knows the area well. The tour included 5 vendors, and despite being a local we were experiencing new places which were all enjoyable. Sprinkled into the mix of food was some walking and historic information about the area. Overall a great experience.

Adam was a terrific guide and made the Flavors of Philly Food Tour so much more than just a food tour. He was charming, knowledgeable, and engaging, and I especially enjoyed all the Philly history and practical local knowledge he shared along the way. He explained the layout of the city, including why there’s no First Street (it’s Front Street), how Broad Street fits into the grid, and the story of the supposed “curse” on Philadelphia sports teams after the city began building skyscrapers taller than William Penn atop City Hall. He also shared interesting history about Independence Hall and its restoration.
The food was a fun sampling of Philly favorites, including tomato pie, cheese fries, pretzels, a doughnut, and a chocolate chip cookie. Just as importantly, Adam never made the tour feel rushed. He gave us plenty of time at each stop, kept everyone comfortable, and even provided bottles of water. He struck a great balance between food, history, humor, and useful information about the city. Adam was a wonderful ambassador for Philadelphia, and I would highly recommend taking this tour with him.

My friend and I were in Philly for a quick trip, Sunday-Tuesday. We only live a few hours away but this is the first time either of us really explored it. We did this food tour on day 2. Directions to the meeting point were easy. We spotted the tour guide, Katelyn. (Sp?) She was pleasant, informative, and patient. I enjoyed learning the facts about the food we were trying and the city. Lots of things I didn’t know. We were out for about 2.5 hours. The food was delicious and filling. The people on the tour were also pleasant and a good group to experience the tour with. It was a hot day outside. There was one time we were in the sun while our guide was giving some history. She was fine but the sun can make you less patient. Overall I would recommend this experience. Good times!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and easy going which made the guided experience great. The food itself had some great selections like the tomatoe pie which was absolutely delicious. The cheesesteak and fries combo we had was quite disappointing though, maybe that’s just me.

I was not impressed with this foodie tour :( For $75 we received a slice of cheese-less pizza, a small piece of a pretzel, and very underwhelming Philly cheesesteak, and a cookie. We love doing foodie tours and this one did not deliver.

Our Flavors of Philly tour is intentionally designed around Philly's most iconic foods and the stories behind them. One of those stops is tomato pie, a longtime local specialty that's traditionally served without cheese and reflects the history and traditions of our Italian-American community. While it's a favorite among many locals, we understand that it isn't what every visitor expects when compared to regular pizza.
We appreciate your comments regarding the tastings and value, and we'll certainly keep them in mind as we continue to evaluate the guest experience.

What an incredible experience! The Flavors of Philly Food Tour was the perfect way to experience Philadelphia's iconic food scene while learning about the city's rich history and culture. The tour started out with Adam getting everyone familiar with the rest of the group. I wondered if there would be enough food worth skipping lunch for. All of us left stuffed to the gills and we had to start sharing one portion rather than getting a complete portion each. The food was good. The tour was fun and enlightening.

The tour did not require a whole lot of walking, but we visited a number of great places and Stacey gave us great history and tips. I was traveling solo and it was a fabulous way to take a break from a day of work.

Stacy was great. Did have trouble hearing and seeing her. A suggestion would be if she had a long wood pile with an animal or flag, or about anything that she could hold up so the group could see where she was.

It's a fair amount of walking and stairs, so make sure you are up for that - but if you are, it's SO worth it. Been on a lot of food tours in a lot of American cities, and this one leaves you feeling genuinely full at the end. Appreciated how our tour guide Adam sprinkled in some history and spent some time getting to know the group and our interests. Overall it was a great experience, and I highly recommend.

There was no address on the building and weren’t told to meet indoors. The tour guide was sitting inside looking at his phone and we were stressed out trying to find him and not miss the tour.

Kelly did a great job! She really knows the city,the food was good, and the tour of Del Friscos was the icing on the doughnut. She interejected a lot of interesting history into the tour, and we tried tomato pie, soft pretzels, Philly cheesesteak, cheez fries, a doughnut and a cookie,so I was full too!
