This tour was the perfect mix of ghost stories and history. It was also a great way to see Philadelphia at night. Our guide, Bruce, was fabulous and SO knowledgeable! I highly recommend this tour.

This tour is as so fun!! We had done a daytime tour and the haunted stories at some of the areas we had been to really added to the history of the city. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the tour fun!

We had three stops. Three. At each one she delivered the same fun fact: ‘Someone probably died here once.’ The only spirits we encountered were whatever was in that Big Gulp, and the only people who actually died were the members of our group… from sheer boredom.
This wasn’t a ghost tour. This was an unpaid TED Talk on how not to give a tour. Save your money, buy your own Big Gulp, and walk around in circles — it’ll be scarier, cheaper, and way less depressing

I would like to address your feedback regarding the number of stops and the content of the tour. Our ghost tours are designed to include a minimum of seven stops, which typically include the Betsy Ross House, Christ Church, City Tavern, Merchants' Exchange, Bishop White House, Independence Hall, and conclude in Washington Square. While our guides are encouraged to add additional stops or content, only visiting three stops is certainly not up to our standards.
To help us investigate this further and provide additional training to your guide, could you please let us know which specific stops were omitted from the tour you attended?

This is a walking tour and Philly is humid in the summer. Bring water. Probably best for ages 12 and up. Bruce, our guide, was great. Great stories about Revolutionary times.

Guide was bad at reading cues from her audience. Kept us all standing for long periods of time on hot pavement or cobblestones. Stories lacked drama and finesse. Would've appreciated either an actual actor dressed for the part and having fun with it or an actual history buff who could have kept the guests attention and cleverly alluded to possible ghost sightings. Some of the language she employed was off putting to families with younger children and she didn't notice the looks she was given by parents on the tour. We opted to excuse ourselves over halfway through the tour. It was a waste of time and money for us.

Thank you for your review and very thoughtful feedback. I am sorry our guide was not able to read or understand your cues suggesting that you needed to sit down or maybe find a place in the shade. Interpreting and understanding cues can be complicated, but we were working with our guides to be more proactive. We a building in check-ins so our guides can ask frequently through out the Tour about guest well-being and reduce the risk of missing a cue. At times our guides may lose track of this when they’re talking about content, but ultimately our goal is the guest having a great experience. If you are uncomfortable or tired, that is not achieving that goal. Our tour is meant to be a family-friendly tour but it seems it was not in your case. We do not use scripts, but it might be beneficial to give more guidance and outline to prevent any language that would not be acceptable for families. Reviews are very important to us and we take them to heart. Poor reviews are uncomfortable for us to read but they are key to see where we need to improve and grow all of our tours and guide staff.

While our tour guide gave sincere effort to be engaging, I was not impressed with the info given on the tour. I learned very little, and the areas/things around us were not discussed. Little context was given in the stories we did hear

I’m sure this was an isolated incident but our tour guide was almost 30 minutes late and we only knew he was going to be late because one of the patrons called to see what was going on. The manager did everything she could to get him there and did apologize. He knew a lot of information.
