Ms Wendy was an excellent tour guide! She was knowledgeable, kind and engaged the kids with patience. Our children were on the younger side, but they enjoyed it very much and were curious about all Ms Wendy had to share about Philadelphia and American history. Highly recommend to families. Great stops along tour and a perfect pace that stayed right on schedule. Thank you!
Wendy was a great guide! Very knowledgeable and so great with the kids. Do this tour, you will not regret it!
Wendy is an excellent tour guide! Very knowledgeable and great with kids (and adults!) Great insight into Phila history!
Wendy was a fantastic guide and very good with children. She gave good stories with pictures for the kids.
Be prepared to do a lot of walking. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring a water bottle to hydrate. Be prepared for possible inclement weather.
other travelers should know that there are no long lines or waits enywhere and everything else was perfect
Wonderful historical tour of Philly and great for our 10 year old son. My husband and I found it very interesting as well. It was very hot that day but the walk was still very doable for adults and kids alike.
Wendy was wonderful with the kids in our group, drawing them into the conversation. She was knowledgeable and it was a great overview of the historical area.
Wendy was absolutely amazing. She was able to answer all questions that were asked and really catered the tour to our kids while also giving parents lots of info and history as well. We will definitely recommend Wendy to anyone we know who is looking for a great kids tour of Philly!!!
Tour content was perfect for our 7 year old. Pace and information was great. Wendy was a lot of fun and the kids (and adults) learned a lot.
So much fun! We loved the information and seeing the city. Wendy is very kind and knows her history!
Wendy tuned into the children in the group and adjusted the conversation and facts to their level of learning. The day was really hot and humid and Wendy tried to keep us in shady spots along the way.
Our 8 &10 year old grandsons could't wait to fill in their parents on everything they saw and learned. The 4th grader just finished studying the American Revolution so had answers handy but Wendy was so good at engaging and encouraging the younger one who had little knowledge beforehand. I'm a suburbanite who, nonetheless, knows the city and its history well but Wendy still had me hooked with so much new information. You won't find a more patient, kind and knowledgeable guide for you or your kids in this city or any other.
We did this historic walking tour in Philadelphia with our two boys (ages 9 and 10), and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The tour was about 1.5 hours and covered the history of the American Revolution while walking through the actual streets and historic areas of Philadelphia, which made everything feel much more real and engaging.
Our guide was knowledgeable, entertaining, and did a great job keeping both kids and adults interested the entire time. My kids genuinely loved it and were talking about what they learned afterward, which says a lot. Even as an adult, I learned a ton of new information and gained a deeper appreciation for the history of the city and the founding of America.
If you’re visiting Philadelphia and want something educational, interactive, and enjoyable for the whole family, I highly recommend this tour.
Wendy provided a great experience! Engaged the kids with questions, explained the history in ways that they understood, and answered all their questions. Tour length was perfect for small legs but still packed so many sites.
Very informative. Wendy was a great guide, with not just the kids but adults too.
Worth the price
Great for families
Wendy made our tour super engaging for my 9 year old. She asked age appropriate questions and explained historical events in a way that connected with my kid. We had a great time on our tour and highly recommend for anyone wanting to do a tour with young kids!
went on this tour with kids ages 8,11, and 12. The tour guide Wendy was great and really engaged the kids. When we were almost finished after walking around for 1.5 hours the kids were disappointed when we said it was almost over.
This is a fun and very informative tour geared for children and adults. Wendy is engaged with the children, having the children think and participate in a non pressured way. I saw many things I have never seen before in Philadelphia.
The directions for the meeting point are a little vague. The Starbuck’s meeting point is at the corner of the National Constitution Center, 6th and Arch Street.
Great tour, very informative. Our guide made it fun for the kids with imaginative narrative about the historical events. Our kids loved it!
Great tour that my kids enjoyed and also learned a lot from. The tour guide kept them engaged and I would recommend to other families for sure!
This tour was perfect for kids!!! Wendy was so knowledgeable and really engaged our children (5 and 7), despite them being tired from traveling. The tour hit all the highlights, as well as some sites we would never have found on our own. Ending at the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall was perfect. We all walked away with new knowledge, thanks to Wendy and the NPS Rangers we met along the way.
