Great overview of Polynesia. All the docents/guides are very welcoming and knowledgeable. I believe they said many were from BYU -Hawaii?
Loved all the interactive components to each island. Lots to do and see.
Enjoyed the Polynesian Football HOF exhibit. Impressed by the level of players that have had success in college and the NFL.

My 16 year old son wanted to do this and I did not expect to have a good time but it ended up being one of my favorite experiences. It was entertaining, educational, hands on and food was fantastic. It was great to learn more about these islands and their cultures. 5 Stars and I have recommended it to everyone

This is an enjoyable experience with lots of activities for kids. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Beautiful park with interesting information about the Polynesian culture. Performances were great.

Reserve electric cart prior to going if you have trouble walking. Very well laid out. Nice presentations.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Mahalo for your review and for sharing your experience with us! We’re glad you enjoyed the cultural presentations. Thank you also for mentioning the electric carts, that’s a great tip for future guests who may need extra assistance getting around. We hope to welcome you back again soon for another visit!

A lot of non Polynesian food (tacos, fish & chips, etc.). Not much shade except at performance areas so heat and humidity were hard to deal with.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Mahalo for sharing your thoughts! We’re happy you visited the Polynesian Cultural Center and had the chance to experience our island villages.
Along with international options, we also offer traditional Polynesian favorites such as fresh local coconuts, kalua pork, poi, taro dishes, and island-style desserts that reflect the cultures we represent. Many guests also enjoy trying these throughout the villages and dining areas.
For shade and comfort, our park includes many covered performance areas, shaded seating zones, indoor village experiences, and built structures throughout the islands where guests can cool down and relax between activities.
We appreciate your perspective and hope you’ll consider visiting again to explore even more of the culture, shows, and experiences across the park.

Get there early. Long lines to get in. The people are friendly. There are several places to eat. Each village has a show

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The shows were educational, entertaining, and just fun. (The weather was great the day we visited, and that helped.) One of the best things we did was to include the buffet at the end of the day. It was simply scrumptious.
Corazon_d, Aug 2019
It was wonderful to learn other cultures and their way of life. The PCC is doing a wonderful job preserving them as well as providing a college education to students!
EveLchef, Jul 2019
The visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center, exceeded my expectations, leaving me wanting more. Everything was exquisite, fun, educational and relaxing. I only have one complaint, because they didn't let me take pictures or record at the night show. I have serious memory problems, so I usually record and photograph everything I like. And the lady who approached me to tell me that I couldn't portray, or record, was extremely rude, when I tried to explain why I wanted to record, she didn't let me talk and ended up with a "I'm going to call security to be taken out". Seriously? So, in this way treat a person with a disability?

The shows were excellent. It was fun to learn, throw spears, and twirl the baton. Everyone was very welcoming. Just a great experience all the way around.

Friends recommended this tour and it was excellent! One day is not enough time to really experience the information offered here on all the cultures that came together to live in Hawaii. For example, we did not have time to see all the demonstrations of cooking, weaving, etc. The main shows for each nation were very informative as well as fun!

This is a great way to immerse yourself in the culture of the Polynesian Islands. You'll learn about their history, food, travel, belief systems, dances, music and society in general. You can explore on your own, or take a guide. There are shows at the different sites throughout the day: learn how to make coconut bread, dance the hula, make coconut oil, etc. Some of the show hosts are very funny, they are all engaging. We upgraded to the Hawaiian luau, which I would call a dinner theatre. The show was entertaining, but similar to some things we had seen throughout the day. There were a few opportunities for audience participation. The dinner portion was basically a buffet of Hawaiian food there are a LOT of people to feed. It wasn't really what I was expecting. Ha, Breath of Life is the major show in the evening and it was very well done. If you do nothing else, see this show. It was different than the day's activities and worthwhile seeing. It's a busy but well maintained facility.

Viator has no proper connection and responsibility for operators actions. It was very confused, that after booking, there were no way to ask from where and when the pick up was organised. No pre information, where pick- up locations was planned. Only ask the hotel, but no info, that bus will come to booked hotel. The operator did not answer until late previous evening. Feeling to unsure situation was very frustrating. The itinerary for trip was not correct enough. The dinner was not included. The booking information gave to understand. that was included. Viator have to concentrate more to satisfy customers and ask operators to make proper information to the tours

Villages and big show all great - buffet wasn't very good

Amazing place and learned a lot of the Polynesian culture. Must go place.

I enjoyed the Polynesian Cultural Center and if I was only in Oahu for short time or had never experienced a Polynesian Culture before then this tour is worthwhile. For people have experienced this or are in Oahu for a longer period of time then I would not recommend going. It is also cheaper to take The Bus number 55 or drive there and pay your own way to experience it - cheaper than going on the tour.

Really excellent tour. Upgraded to the ambassador option so we had a tour guide around the park, which was really good. So much to do and plenty of time to spend at the park. Loved it.
Kim P, Jul 2017
Great experience and very educational. Workers were students earning their college education and showed pride in sharing their polynesian cultures. Center was very clean and staff friendly. Highlight of our trip.
Anne K, Apr 2017
This was an excellent tour. The bus picked us up near our hotel and we arrived at the Polynesian Cultural Center just as it opened for the day. We were able to organize our day to see all of the featured presentations in each of the villages. The meal was also included and all of the food was great. There was time afterward to see the imax movie that was also part of the park admission and then we attended the Ha show which was spectacular. This tour is well worth the price and highly recommended when you are visiting Oahu.

If you haven't traveled to the islands of the South Pacific, PCC is the place to go. It accurately reflects life in Polynesia. To see everything you need to spend the day. We took the afternoon tour and show HA:Breath of Life and had hotel pickup and dropoff. You MUST see the show. It is truly magnificent. The only drawback to this tour option was that dinner was not included and PCC would not sell same over the phone. We were picked up at 2PM and returned at 11PM. So no food was a problem. We spoke to our bus driver and explained the problem. He guided us to Customer Service and asked what could be done. There are actually two dinner options: regular which features chicken and deluxe which serves roast beef and crab legs. Most people opt for the former which is cheaper. The representative said he always takes his family to the deluxe. Up charge was 50 each well worth it. Deluxe area was about half-full while regular was packed with line out the door. Food was excellent and plentiful.

We enjoyed this and would recommend it. We drove ourselves and I would probably take a bus if I did it again.

One and Done!
The staff was great! The education factor was pretty good. The facility was okay. The buffet food at lunch and dinner was not great!
The show at night was great!
Florence A, Jan 2017
This is a wonderful experience in all Polynesian Cultures. They interaction between the staff and visitors is perfect. The evening show Ha or Breath of Life is fantastic. We had a great time. We did the Island Style Buffet and this was only mediocre. Next time we would upgrade to the better Luau.
PhilipA_C, Dec 2016
We loved it, we had to go back the next day as we wanted to see and experience everything! An amazing place, everybody was so helpful and friendly too. We just wished the weather was better, it rained the whole time we were there, but we bought three rain ponchos and carried on I think it would be great if unberellas were loaned at the entrance and handed back in as you exit

Unbelievable !!! Wow, what a great time we had on our honeymoon. Will surely revisit the Polynesian Cultural Center on our next visit to Oahu. Great Value !
Natalie M, May 2016
The tour was OK- the show was great.
It was extremely disappointing that I booked this and when we got to PCC, everything was closed, so if you would like to actually go through and experience the entire PCC I would NOT book this and go on your own. Also there was no option for dinner, and I missed the Luau dinner which was the reason why I wanted to go in the first place. Instead of booking through a third party Viator go through the cultural center- it would be way better for you and the general experience.
