What To Expect
Ahead of your scheduled departure time, head to the pier for check in. Then, board your vessel and set sail just as the sun is starting to set over Oahu’s southern coast.
Sit down at your private table and get ready to enjoy a 5-course dinner of gourmet cuisine, including signature entrees of tenderloin beef and Maine lobster served tableside.
As you slowly drift across the water, relax to the sounds of smooth jazz and professional live entertainment. Sip on a selection of premium beverages served in the comfortable lounge (additional expense), and dance in the Art Deco Super Nova Room.
To cap off the experience, book on a Friday and enjoy an extra hour to view the weekly aerial fireworks show.
After several hours on the water, return to the pier, where your cruise ends.

Highly recommended. I would have given 5 stars but the weather was horrible. The wind & waves prevented us from leaving the marina. The food & drinks were fabulous. Great service. "Will" you were great. We had a great time. Unfortunately no fireworks either. Entertainment was great, too.

The experience overall was fine but for $500 dollars you would not expect watered down drinks. The food was good entertainment was fine .

Wonderful...attentive and personal 5 star service made the ticket price worth it; it would have been more worth it if the photo was included in the ticket price. The food was fresh and delicious. Jazz ensemble enhanced the dining experience. Unfortunately clouds had rolled in and blocked the sunset but all else met expectations.

It’s way too much money for what you get. I should have trusted the reviews I had seen prior to booking. The Jazz was only the last 1/2 hour, when we were returning. The food was ok but not for the price of this dinner cruise. I would not have wasted my money on this. There are many better options. Very disappointed.

This dinner cruise exceeded our expectations and was an overall great experience. Would highly recommend. We did the premium service and were seated on the top deck. Beautiful dining area with amazing views of Waikiki. Food was worth the money, just wanted a bit more lobster. Entertainment was excellent with live piano, great singer and host and ending with a saxophone player. We did the Friday night experience with amazing views of a sunset and Fireworks show from Hilton. Our waiter and all the people working on the boat were very nice and smiling and wanting to make your experience memorable. They were very organized checking you in as well as very timely on bringing you your 5 course meal. My husband and I can’t wait to come back. Mahalo Star of Honolulu!

The cruise was exceptional! We did the 5 star and it was incredible. The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. The service and entertainment were top notch. I was sceptical of a cruise at first but this one changed my mind. It was elegant and refined. The ship had a 60’s vibe that we absolutely loved. I would highly recommend the 5 star section.

It was a fun time, dinner was great, Friday nite you’ll get the firework show off Waikīkī. It’s awesome seeing Waikīkī from the water. Boat got a little rocky, so I would take sea sick meds just in case.

The staff were very friendly. The food was okay. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box and with too much truffle flavor. The beef and gravy was nice though. It would have been nice to have better and more bread throughout the meal. The women’s bathroom has a mirror like tile in the ceiling, so it felt a bit weird knowing that if someone looks up they can see you in your stall. We were able to go outside and we were on the top floor with air conditioning, so that was nice. Overall, it was a fun experience.

We booked VIP to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Even so we were a little surprised at how deluxe and elegant this was. From the complimentary champagne toast, to the appetizer, steak & lobster dinner and cheesecake dessert the food was excellent. It can’t be easy together all that food out at the right temperature but they did. The waitstaff were all so attentive. The jazz group was fabulous. Jazz piano all during dinner, then a sax player and singer joined. I could listen to a full concert set from that singer, she was just that good. We booked on a Friday, so the cruise is an extra hour so you can see the Honolulu fireworks. And we got a beautiful sunset to boot. Such a great experience.

It was raining very hard prior to cruise. Weather wasn't safe to leave doc. Unfortunately not a sunset tour due to bad weather.. Food was okay. Ship is a little dated. Live band was the highlight. Drinks were delicious. Overall not worth the price.

The dinner itself was delicious. The music maybe change it up a bit to include some nice Hawaiian music. Our waiter should have been more attentive to our table. He didn't offer us water, didn't explain how the dinner was going to be served. He didn't offer us coffee when we got our dessert therefore, we didn't get any. We noticed how attentive the waitress was to her couple sitting next to us. We learned more from her by over hearing her explain to her couple how the dinner was going to be served. She brought them water. Granted he was serving other tables but so was the waitress attending the table next to us. Hadn't it been for that, our waiter would have received a better tip but other than that, we really enjoyed it!

This event is on the same boat as the Star Casual Sunset and Show Cruise, just on the top level of the boat. Much more refined but not as entertaining. Not to say the music wasnt wonderful but the Star Casual Sunset and Show Cruise is much more active and entertaining. Id choose the latter, its cheaper and much more immersive.
