There are 2 passes needed. One with the State, and the other for the self-guided audio tour - If - you want to have information during the hike. For the audio tour the price was about $9 per person, so I got 3. They give you a phone loaded with a recording that's separated by each of 20 stations. It was very crowded when we went, and we opted to listen on the way down rather than up, and instead of us each having our own learning experience - and out of sync with each other - we just listened on one phone, without the ear buds. That way we could discuss the information as we started walking again. It worked for us, anyway. The people at the Visitors booth were very nice, the hike was challenging, but rewarding. I would have not wanted to miss it.

I am currently trying to get refund!!!! I didn’t have park pass to walk/hike trail on 04/25….. I am walking/hiking Diamond Head trail today without audio tour……. I just want my refund!!

We never used our ticket since viator is a third party agent for the said activity and it is already fully booked that day when we came according to the day that we buy the tickets at viator. So we never used it, and never enjoy our last day in Honolulu.

We were headed up to Diamond head and heard we needed tickets for entry. We thought this was it- it was not. You buy Diamond head tickets right from their site. We are going back but this tour was worthless because we couldn’t get I . I know it was part my error for not reading g carefully but it felt deceptive. I inquired about a refund but h e not checked email to see if I have received one. We haven’t used the your because we were t able to enter.

Make sure you have a reservation. Ask for the QR code to reserve if you show up without advanced reservation. I didn’t even get to participate in the hike because I apparently purchased the wrong tickets and got ripped off because they wouldn’t give me a refund.

Viator Customer Support,
I am writing to request a full refund for my recent Diamond Head booking, which was misleading and resulted in me being unable to enter the park.
I believed I was purchasing a Diamond Head park pass and entry reservation. However, when I arrived at the park, I discovered that the purchase was only for an audio tour and did not include park entry or a time slot reservation. By that point, all entry time slots were sold out, and I was denied access to the park.
Because of this, I was unable to visit Diamond Head at all, which was the entire purpose of the purchase. This was extremely disappointing and not what I reasonably believed I was booking.
The listing was unclear and misleading, and I would not have purchased an audio tour alone without park entry.
I am requesting a full refund for this purchase.

They will NOT let you in using this site and confirmation number! We drive there and they said it was an invalid booking. Waist of 20$ and driving. It was one of the things we wanted to do most visiting! What a bunch of crap!

Felt the offer misrepresented the experience. It sounds like you have park access until you pay and view your ticket that says it doesn’t give you park admission. You can’t even access the park with this ticket because it doesn’t even allow you to park in the site and you really can’t get there without driving.

I booked this online and when I got to the entrance they said that I couldn't answer with this pass. I had to get one directly through them. I wasn't so much of an inconvenience, but they couldn't explain to me why the online purchase wasn't accepted other than it's not the official site that they use for entrance into the park.

Actually, I didn't use this service. The website was very tricky and confusing. I thought I was paying the entrance fee and parking. There were multiple offers including transportation from Waikiki to exclude parking that may or may not have included the entrance fee. Just a total mess and confusion. Luckily the "entrance person" did not turn us away and allowed us to use their website to purchase an entrance and parking at that time. Very disappointed in this web site experience. Ronald Cook

Visitors aren’t told they need a reservation to walk the public park. The park isn’t really public. I bought a ticket to walk the trail, self guided, and was told that ticket wasn’t good for admission. Bought another ticket that finally got me in. And upon leaving, was told I needed another ticket to park.
Visitors are NOT welcome.

Brah the tickets I bought for two to Diamond head are not good for admisssiin but the tickets don’t tell you what it’s good for. it only tells you what it is not good for the woman at the kiosk said that they’re only good enough to get you admission to the gift shop but the tickets don’t say that this site that I went to you to buy the tickets. I’m going to yelp like crazy and give them a zero rating so we’re gonna go to the mall and look at the rest of it and then maybe take a drive to North Shore have lunch up there

Viator allowed me to purchase a ticket 25 minutes prior to closing and viator ticket cannot be used because viator ticket is not for the oark entrance. Their is a different fee for the park.
