Mr. Higgins was very nice. I wish we would have gotten a chance to see everything during the tour but he touched on some of the other things on the way to lil dizzy’s. I really appreciated that he walked us over and the conversation there was my favorite part of the experience.

Fantastic experience. I had a wonderful time. We learned so much about the origins of jazz, the history of the city and Louisiana, with such a great guide, it was amazing. I really had lots of fun and definitely recommend it.

Our tour guide was New Orleans Nate and he was great! Extremely knowledgeable and had what I call “receipts” to back up everything he was telling us. His personality was charismatic as well. He spoke loud enough for everyone to hear him. He was patient with everyone taking pictures as well. He even helped me get my phone back when I left it in the coffee shop prior to the tour. I love New Orleans and learned a lot about the neighborhood of Tremé. I definitely recommend this tour, request Nawlins Nate if you can!

We learned a lot and heard many entertaining stories! Our guide Nate, had many family and personal experiences that he shared.

A substitute for the original guide was made. He talked about music and musicians not voodoo as was described in the write up. He was good although a little hard to hear at times.

I had a great time on this tour as a solo traveler in New Orleans for the second time! Super informative, would recommend

Dave Higgins was well-informed about the music scene, although I had already learned much of this at the Jazz museum. We had signed up for the Treme tour, and was disappointed that this was cancelled and we were assigned to another tour that actually stayed in the Armstrong Park, with two sites away from the park---which was also disappointing. Higgins was a very enthusiastic and lively presenter.

An excellent tour. Highly informative and treats painful parts of US history with respect. Among my favorite tours in the city.

Our tour guide David, was great. You can tell he loves giving tours and New Orleans' history. He also has some great jokes. He was very kind and punctual. We learned a lot and left with a deeper appreciation of local history.

I had an incredible tour experience we had. Our guide, was absolutely fantastic! It’s hard to believe that we were his first tour group. His wealth of historical and culinary knowledge added so much depth to the experience. I left with a greater appreciation for the city and its rich cultural heritage. The food samples were an added touch. I’d definitely recommend the tour to friends and family.

New Orleans Nate & his family were such a joy to meet & we will never forget how much fun we had learning about the history of the neighborhood and meeting locals along the way! We went last year and will be looking for Nate & his family again next week!

Speaking in creole French .. knowing the knowledge and history of true New Orleans … the part nobody wants to learn or talk about

Our tour guide was David Higgins and he was amazing! We met him at the coffee shop and, before we knew he was our guide I told my wife…that guy looks like a cool guy, I wish he was our guide! And he was! We had an entertaining time, he told us lots of interesting information about the history of New Orleans and the areas we walked around. He gave useful historical context to New Orleans, as well as silly stuff like playing Miles Davis to a bird that hangs out along the way. It was a highlight to our trip, we recommend it for everyone!

This was a really good tour and David is a great guide. He knows a lot about the city, its musical history and he clearly likes his job! He made it fun and interesting and even customized the tour a bit based on things we were interested in.
I recommend this tour for early in your trip to New Orleans so you can learn about the city and places that you may want to explore on your own

We ended up going on the Music Tour with David. He was an incredible tour guide who brought so much vibrancy to the history of music in New Orleans.
