Standing Ovation to Glen! Incredible experience! We were picked up promptly from our hotel and greeted with great energy!! Very knowledgeable Gentleman!! The lunch option was great too!! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Glen. We had a mix of newbies and return visitors and we all saw and learned something new. Glen was very accommodating in making sure that we saw the things we wanted to see. He also went above and beyond by lending us a walker when one of our group was having issues getting around. It allowed us to enjoy areas we wouldn’t otherwise been able to see. Thank you Glen for a great tour and all your help!

Since we were pressed for time, we were looking for a tour that could give us an in depth view of NOLA in a few hours. And Glen did this to perfection He is a gentleman and a pure pro. We were picked up from our hotel as scheduled and immediately whisked away to a nearby observation point where we learned the history of the city from a bird's eye view. From there, we hit the road in Glen's super comfy van and we were taken through the French Quarter, to an historic cemetery, and over to Lake Pontchartrain (amongst other places). During the voyage, Glen pointed out every bite size piece of information about New Orleans.....Famous restaurants, colleges, celebrity houses, parks, and other local lore. If you want to experience NOLA with a true local, Glen is your man. If there's something specific you want to see, just let him know and he'll gladly tailor the tour to your liking. Do not hesitate to book. It's a great tour at a great value.

We absolutely loved this tour! Glen was incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of his way to show us what we were interested in around the city.
Glen's knowledge of New Orleans was excellent and we learned so much from him; Our stop for lunch was lovely too.

Glen was fun, funny, and knowledgeable. He provided us with an insiders view of the development of the city of New Orleans while pointing out significant historical places and people. For the first time, we understood the magnitude and the after effects of Katrina. A joyful yet somewhat sobering day. I can recommend Glen without reservations!!!!!

My husband and I had a great day with Glen learning about the city and checking out the most popular sites! Glen has a genuine interest in his customers and making sure they have a fabulous experience. We stopped at a restaurant for lunch and had chargrilled oysters for the first time. Absolutely incredible! Highly recommend.

This tour was incredible!!
Glen is an awesome and very knowledgeable guy who really loves New Orleans and can give you the point of this city . Learned a ton ! And also had great local recs too . Glen is very flexible and reliable. Our flight was delayed and he was waiting for us in the airport. I forgot my jacket in the car and he brought it back to the hotel for me. He’s a real gentleman with nice south charm manners!
Greatly recommend this tour - you will have a pleasant and informative ride :)

Just finished with our tour and I can tell you hands down that Glen knows New Orleans and gives you your moneys worth . We had a great time and I highly recommend it for anyone that wants to see and understand New Orleans . WARNING - 4 hours goes by super fast so sit back and enjoy Glen with all his dad jokes

We absolutely adored Glen and thoroughly enjoyed his tour! We toured all over the city and stopped for lunch at this great place he recommended. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We've been on a couple other tours before but I'd say this was our favorite. If you're a fan of history and curious how New Orleans got to be the way it is, hit up Mr. Henley!

Glen was the perfect tour guide. Communications were perfect as he cleared up our questions before the tour and was open to adjusting to accommodate our group. Hotel pickup was made in a nice sized vehicle that was perfect for our needs. He has complete knowledge of the city's history and offered many interesting insights during the tour. The tour itself had stops at the sites we were most interested in visiting, including a beautifully scenic stop for lunch. All stops allowed us the right amount of time to explore and take photos. Since we only had the half day for sightseeing this tour was the perfect way to for us to experience New Orleans. We experienced far more of the city than we otherwise would have been able to. Highly recommend this tour!

Glen did a great job of communicating prior to our tour and picked us up at our air BNB outside of town. He was extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much about the lovely town of NOLA.
We were able to stop at a few places where we got out and explored with Glen, then he joined us for lunch midway through the tour and made some menu recommendations as well.
If you're looking to learn a lot about the city and culture, this tour is for you.

This was the most unusual tour I've ever had in 10 years. The two of the guests who booked my tour had never been on a New Orleans tour, but two of the guests were on a "Private" tour the day before my tour. The lady who was on the other tour the day before, continually asked questions about where we were going, and interrupted my tour on several occasions, saying "we're not interested in that". Since she was a friend onf the lady who booked the tour, I tried not to say anything and on one occasion just stopped the tour shourt and went where she asked. In effect the lady who toured New Orleans the day before had convinced the lady who booked my tour that this was a mistake.
So, in conclusion. Why would someone who already had a tour the day before going on another one? Also, just let me know in advance what and where you want to go, and I'll take you there.
However, one 2* review out of 200 5* star reviews isn't bad.
I apologize Mandy for not meeting your expectations. It is my intent to make my tour both entertaining and educational, while showing the entire city of New Orleans and its history.

We booked this from viator. We had never heard of viator or Mr. Henley. We had no expectations, but from the start Mr. Henley contacted me. He was very polite and pre-made all arrangements. He picked us up and from our room at Hotel Provincial he started the tour. He was very knowledgeable and took us to places we didn't know existed. He took us behind the scenes and in to places that were closed to the public. We were treated like VIP's and he treated my kids like they were friendly. I have never meet anyone with passion, knowledge, and desire to please clients. If you are wanting a tour of New Orleans book Henley it's a must.

Glen gave a great overview of the natural resources so we could understand why this area was perfect to settle on. Expanding on this info he was able to explain how Katrina devastated the city. We got to see all of the must sees in a short period and learn the background too. Along with a great Po’Boy lunch and many Dad jokes too. It was a great fun start to our trip.

This was the first tour we took after arriving in New Orleans. Glen was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the layout of the city areas and gave us a great overview of New Orleans. It is highly recommended that you let Glen get you started on your visit to New Orleans.

Glen (Frey)(Don) Henley of Henely's private tours is the owner-operator. Without a doubt we appreciated the pride that he has for New Orleans and his business. He is knowledgeable, quick witted, courteous and knows EVERYONE! We were a party of six adults looking for a tour outside of the tour bus scene. His van is clean, comfy and spacious. We added our own stops to Oak Alley and Laura plantations in addition to the main tour,(which he readily accommodated) and he even took us to a great local spot for gumbo! Highly recommend! You will not find a more personal tour guide at a very reasonable price. Hope he got some rest after our gregarious group. We met as customers and left as friends, thank you Glen!

We had an excellent experience with Glen Hensley's private tour. He has clearly researched New Orlean history extensively and showed us the city while narrating the entire way. We live in Atlanta and the couple we attended with reside in Dallas so we met in the Big Easy to reunite after the long Covid pause.
