What are people saying about New Orleans

Loved it
There will be walking, but wow, loads of great storytelling and our guide was massivley entertaining. Use the bathroom ahead of time. There is a pit stop, but assume nothing. The group has a time frame to keep to. Listen, observe, and enjoy the woven tapestry that is the New Orleans culture.

VIP is the way!
Buy the VIP package You get a personal concierge and some behind the scenes tours of the boat. We had Marlon as our concierge. He was fantastic! Over and above on the service. He made sure we had everything we wanted and gave us some tips on the boat and how to avoid the mass exit madness! Thank you Marlon.

Do this first.
We had such a good time. A lot of walking, you get coupons at two stores, the tour guide was great and friendly! Tons of great spots n great food as well as some food history! I’d do this in the beginning of your trip and get recs for other great local spots!

Just like your Best Friends Kitchen!
From the moment you walk in to the final spoon of Banana’s Foster this is an awesome experience. You feel like you are in your best friends kitchen, grab a drink, lean against the counter and talk like you have know on another for ever. After some good safety advice, we are using knives after all and fire too. The directions were easy to absorb for any cooking level, when to stir when not to stir, how to chop, how to mix, how to roux…it’s all there. The slow pace really makes you think easy to taste the creation, just like at home! The Gumbo, Ètoufèè, were just delicious, it’s all in the preparation, execution, and plating. We learned the Banana’s Foster at a distance, too much flambé for amateurs to the Craft. We have even tried the Gumbo Recipe just a few days later at home, brings back the memories.

New Orleans dinner cruises have cuisine, culture, and adventure wrapped into one fun evening on the Mississippi River. Aboard a classic paddle-wheel riverboat, watch the sunset while dancing to live jazz music, and take in the city from a different perspective. After dinner—typically a buffet of Creole favorites like gumbo, jambalaya, and bread pudding—you’ll be all fueled up to enjoy New Orleans’ legendary nightlife offboard.
