The chef besides being warm, engaging, and knowledgeable about Cajun cooking, was extremely comedic. My 13-year-old grandson loved him, and he even called him up to help him make the pralines.
Dinley_W, Aug 2026
Chef Ricardo was funny and knowledgeable…a mine of information about New Orleans history, Creole cuisine as well as Cajun cuisine. I just wish I had booked the full experience instead of just the demonstration class.

This is the second class we attended and loved it each time! The demonstration was educational and helpful as well as entertaining! We were able to taste what was presented and could even enjoy seconds! The food was delicious and the tips very valuable! Each class we attended presented a different menu. A wonderful experience! We will look forward to next year!

The experience was amazing! We did not know what we would encounter upon arrival, but it was simply amazing.
The staff were so hospitable and welcoming. Chef Eric was phenomenal. The food, the atmosphere the history are worth it. They should charge more for the actual demonstration.
Well worth it and I definitely would’ve paid more.

Fantastic food-better gumbo and jambalaya than we’ve had at restaurants in town so far. Chef “Gumbo Marie” was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and cooked some delicious food. I’ve never had bananas foster before, and it was absolutely delish! Highly recommend checking out this experience.

This demo was suggested by our carriage driver. Chef Eric was great! Entertaining, funny and one hell of a cook. He cooked gumbo, jambalaya, bread pudding & pralines, all delicious!! As he cooked, he entertained with stories of local food history, offering his expert advice along the way. Everyone received copies of the recipes. Can’t wait to get home and try them. Highly recommend New Orleans School of Cooking Demo Class!!

Fun, educational, and delicious activity. Chef Lynn was very entertaining while whipping up a wonderful meal. The meal alone was worth the price and I learned a good bit about creole cooking and the basics of how to do it. I enjoyed it so much that I booked a hands on class the next day. Definitely going to try to make some of the recipes at home.
