Use it! The Tour guides are very knowledgeable and funny with anecdotes.
The restaurants are the best. So much history here, and so many great restaurants. Use the Tour to help decide where to explore the area and where to eat.

Only 3 stops, the guide was great, food was delicious but there were less stops than advertised. I wouldn't have paid for this if I'd known.

We were hungry when we arrived, thinking we would be eating food at several spots, we only had a bienet and coffee all day. Our tour was to be 4-6. Dinner hour. Our first stop, Oceana, we had 2 tiny cups, maybe 2 tablespoons each, of gumbo w mushy shrimp and jambalaya with no protein. The tour guide, Don tried to give us history but it was too loud on the patio to hear. He talked forever. History stories were replaced with lots of cooking stories from his own kitchen. I’m a foodie.… not a chef. I want to talk about food, not cooking. We left there starving. Our next stop, Mumbos, was worse. We were led outside, down a trash can lined path to a back patio. The music from speakers was so loud, any hope of hearing his cooking stories was lost. We were given one tiny cup of ettoufee. It was tasty, but we were hungry! No bread, no ability to buy a drink or soda, Don talked even longer here. Other tourists spoke to us about too much talk and not enough food. By this time, we were starving. He told us we had one more stop to try one more taste then we would just walk up and down Bourbon street while he talked about cooking. It was terrible. Our first food tour left us hungry, irritable and needing to go spend another $$$ to have dinner. Don’t do this your. .

Raffle was our tour guide, and couldn't ask for a better one. He seems to know everyone in the city, and is a wealth of information. It was entertaining and educational!

Tour was fantastic.
Foods we sampled were great local foods. This is a must if you just want to “taste” something that you haven’t had before.

Our tour guide Raffle was amazing, hearing the history of New Orleans and the recipes he shared was top notch. The food we tasted was delicious. If and when we are back in town we will make sure to book future tours with him, thanks Raffle 👍

Scrumptious food at three restaurant stops, with a lot of educational information about the history of New Orleans, the difference between creole and Cajun, led by a very experienced tour guide who grew up in the French Quarter. Recommend in the beginning of the trip so you have a subject matter expert on your itinerary in Nola.

Excellent tour guide. He was very professional, gave us a lot of good information about the history of French quarters, food was excellent
Jaleesa_L, Jul 2025

Raffle was an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgable about the history of the area and its cuisine. It was obvious that he has a great relationship with the restaurants he took us too, as he called everyone by name and received a warm reception. The food at each stop was great. This was a really nice way to start our trip, and to get a taste of the local fare. We ended up visiting one of the restaurants later in our trip and took his advice on some other recommendations, which were great as well.

It was amazing! We loved it including my six kids. Our tour guide Raffle was super knowledgeable about New Orleans: the food, people, and area. Everyone loved the different foods that we were able to try. There were plenty of water and bathroom opportunities on the tour. Raffle also gave amazing recommendations for the rest of our trip here in New Orleans.

We had a wonderful New Orleans food walking tour with Raffles through the French Quarter with lots of culinary expertise and small portions to try at various restaurants. We had Gumbo, Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffé and Red Beans and Rice and there was water everywhere. The two hours were more than entertaining and delicious! Highly recommended.
heather_r, Apr 2025
This is the second time I have gone on this tour and it was amazing both times. My husband and I got to stroll through the French Quarter, stopping several times to try the best of some traditional New Orleans dishes, all while hearing stories about the city's history, prominent figures, and architecture. As if that wasn't enough, our tour guide, Raffle, was fantastic. He grew up right there and had amazing stories of his own to share. Don't miss this tour.
Patty_J, Apr 2025

Amazing tour! Don is an incredible guide, sharing not only the history of New Orleans, but also about the origins of the famous dishes of the region, with samples at each stop. Being my first time visiting The Big Easy, this was a wonderful way to learn all about area, taste delicious traditional foods, while exploring The French Quarter.

Raffle was fantastic! Her provided great information and was very funny and entertaining! The food portions were just sample size but perfect for you to be able to eat and enjoy everything
Rida_H, Mar 2025
Donald was very knowledgeable and passionate about the food, ways of making, history behind dishes, etc. You can tell he truly loves New Orleans history and cuisine
Denise_M, Mar 2025
Due to time constraints we decided to take the 2 hour food tour which included stops at 4 locations.
Our tour guide, Don, is a true foodie & provided lots of great information regarding eating around the city & even included a bit of history on the tour.
Just know portions in the tour are small samples but everything was very tasty and well organized.
(Having done food tours in other cities where the portions were regular size thought it was worth mentioning to set expectations). We felt it was definitely worth the time & money spent & would recommend.
Tarrin_E, Feb 2025
Excellent samples from several restaurants. Our guide, Raffle, had a diverse knowledge on many cooking techniques. A very enjoyable tour.
