Definitely do not by pass the bug area there’s a butterfly room and it’s amazing. The level of information provided about the animals is amazing! Your able to read and learn at your own pace!

Great aquarium. Lots to see. Very clean. We love the hole in the floor to look through. Insect area was really neat and worth going through.

What I expected though I was disappointed not to see the Anaconda or more sharks....and where were the octopus?

It's quiet a bit of walking but it is completely worth it. Public paid parking only.
I had a really good time at both the aquarium and insectarium. The butterfly room was definition a unique experience. During my visit I was also able to both pet a ray and watch the penguins get fed.

I have visited several Aquariums and this is ranked in my tops. The insectaium was absolute fire! I would recommend this to anyone who loves nature. Both exhibits show case so much attention to detail we absolutely loved it. Recommend to set aside at least 3 hours.

Very nice experience, I didn’t like that smokers was outside the front door. I can’t handle the smoke. It almost turned me away. But once inside everyone was nice and friendly

My favorite part was the insectarian. They have amazing fishes too. They have a amazing staff to help guide you through.

I enjoyed the sharks they were cool. But it wasn’t like it was advertised and I’m kinda disappointed with how it was laid out.

The Aquarium is very relaxing and interesting. The layout, exhibits and marine life are a treat for all ages. We really enjoyed the Shark Virtual Reality experience. Clean, peaceful and informative day! Staff were helpful and friendly. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that we enjoyed the Insectarium so much but it was displayed so creatively and interactively and especially liked the butterfly room. Highly recommend.

The aquarium was great. Public parking was hard to navigate,got us booted and cost an extra $150

The butterfly garden employee immediately started yelling at my daughter as soon as we walked through the doors. A butterfly landed on her and the employee started yelling meanly at my daughter to get the butterfly off of her and not to touch it. Ruined my daughter’s rest of the whole experience and embarrassed her in front everyone. The employee watched her the entire time and made her super uncomfortable. Not worth the almost $100 ticket

None of the fish answer when you call them. We visited tge same time as the french quarter festival, the fish fry stage was right outside. Thankfully none of the aquarium fish were missing, but my po boy may have had a look down fish in it

Great aquarium with an insectorium. It has lots of interaction for the kids and very informative for the adults. The butterfly sanctuary was amazing.

I expected the zoo portion to be bigger but nevertheless it was nice. The facility was very clean and employees were very nice folks.

Aquarium is nice and the displays are beautiful. It isn’t near as big as it looks like it will be. We had read that it is one of the best in the country, and while I appreciate their conservation efforts, I’m not sure I would go back again.
We were there at the end of the day, so since we only had 90 minutes, the lesser crowd was nice.
I would say this is a good aquarium for someone who has never been to an aquarium before.
