Larry had great knowledge of the area. But it was suppose to be 2.5 hours long & was only 2 hours. Also the tour company didn’t know we were coming & said Viator had shown it was cancelled!

Learning from Amory, our Navajo guide, the history! Trying to place myself back in time and how they lived off the land. His stories reflected his proud heritage and how he will never leave. He also taught us a few things with taking photos , thus the photo I posted. Just an added bonus to the already super tour. Amory is passionate, funny and courteous. Highly recommend him and the tour, as you will only learn from the natives.

Beautiful but overpriced

The tour was absolutely beautiful. It was great that we got to include our pup. They told us that our tour was moved to noon, which we couldn't do, so we asked for a refund, they then had someone ready to take us out at our scheduled time. They did not supply bottled water, as said in the tour guide.

Scenery wins out over stressful start

The Navaho Monument Valley 2.5 hour scenery was great. Would very much recommend, with these caveats: 1) Understand that operators are very laid back. Our driver was late by 20 minutes. 2) When we arrived at meeting point, was told we were at wrong area, wrong group. So sent 200 yards across parking lot to different group. Nope, was told again wrong group—go back to original. Now frantically running, got back to first spot and found someone with more experience. Was correct location all along. Now waited for missing driver. 3) Didn’t get promised water!! We suspected this was going to happen so brought our own water. 4) Guided tour? Nope. Other tour vehicles get running commentary. Nothing for us, just a few things mentioned at stop. Driver very nice, but he was not a guide. Despite all of this, I still rated 5-star. Why? Because of the scenery and wild 4-wheel drive truck experience. It was fun and beautiful and the fact there was just 3 of us in our group made it nice too. At this starting time (5:20pm), light was good and temperatures mild. May 22, 2023

Guide was a no-show…

Hate to put 1-star but the guide service forgot about us and didn’t show up. We pre-booked and prepaid months in advance. Fortunately there was another guide service at the meeting spot able to take us - wonderful outing! Viator was prompt to refund, 5-stars for their responsiveness. I’d suggest the guide make a followup close to the tour date.
