Be aware, if you have lower back problems this can be a bit bumpy at times. Sit in front or middle of vehicle. Very scenic and hassle free with lots of information.

We had booked the 4.30 pm tour and arrived at the park entrance around 4 pm. Unfortunately, the queue of cars wasn’t moving, as there was only one person managing arrivals. I would therefore recommend arriving at least 45 minutes early to avoid any stress.
We finally arrived at the meeting point at 4.35 pm, feeling a little worried that our guide might have already left. There was a moment of confusion, but we eventually managed to join a group, and the rest of the experience was very enjoyable.
We spent three wonderful hours in Monument Valley with our guide. The scenery was breathtaking and we were able to take some magnificent photos. I highly recommend hiring a guide: they take you into the backcountry, where we saw wild horses and witnessed a traditional song.
However, it’s worth noting that the guide doesn’t stop at every "point". Ours made about five/six stops.
Tip: try to get a seat at the front of the vehicle to avoid having your view obstructed.

Our guide Bobby was very nice and informative. I would definitely recommend taking this tour while visiting Monument Valley.
Anna_B, Apr 2026
This tour was simply magnificent! Our tour guide, Bobby, was soft-spoken yet extremely knowledgeable. He even played his American Indian flute (which we loved!) and it gave us a feel for how things once were there in the midst of the monuments.
Very satisfied and happy we took this tour.

This is a great experience! Be aware you will have a bumpy ride through the valley either in a closed or open van. I put this experience in the top 5 I've ever done. Such a pretty and amazing place. My guides were Steven and Yvonne and they both were great, offering to take pictures and take questions.

We were two minutes due to slow pay station. When we got there no one knew our you and they directed us to several groups that had the same name as our tour

We greatly enjoyed our tour of Monument Valley with our Navajo guide Joe on March 11th. It was evident Joe was proud of his heritage and extremely knowledgeable about his land. He is also a very skilled storyteller. He made our afternoon an unforgettable experience. A Navajo guide is the only way to tour Monument Valley!

We had an amazing tour. Got to see restricted areas. Bobbi was our guide and he was so kind and full of information. Would definitely recommend asking for him to take us again. Views of a lifetime.

Honestly? Visiting Monument Valley was one of the most amazing experiences. Bobby was great, incredibly kind, and a wonderful guide. He showed us the stunning land of the Navajo while sharing the history and culture of his people, which made the whole experience feel much more meaningful.
He also treated us to a beautiful performance of Navajo music on flute and guitar together with his band-mate, which was truly special.
Thanks again, Bobby, we really enjoyed the tour. ❤️

3 hour tour with Navajo Nation guide was terrific. Our guide, Steven, was friendly and provided great detail about Navajo lifestyle and culture.

The jeep tour was most informative. Learning about the Navajo culture from long ago. The valley is incredible...beautiful! Steve was the best guide! We are very happy we had him. Love his depiction of old vs new in this culture...and when he played the Native American flute...well it was a very spiritual experience! He was the BEST!!! Highly recommend!

100% worth it. You get to visit areas of Monument Valley that you couldn't without a guide. A lot of history & culture. Even grabbed some dry bread on our trip!

Booked this tour due to my car too low!
Absolutely worth it! Tony is such a fun and creative tour guide who brought us to various sites that’s not reachable by normal tourists and help took so many creative pictures for the family! Tony also educated us with information regarding the tribe and the park. We absolutely love the tour and would definitely recommend to anyone!

This was well-worth it. First of all I would not want to drive this myself. Secondly, enjoyed our guide, Carol and learned much. The insights into her culture were very interesting, the singing and drumming a lovely touch. Highly recommend.

Best way to experience Monument Valley! Tara with Monument Valley Safari was the best! We had a great time!
Blanca_G, Feb 2026
Wonderful. Great for solo travelers. Took the 2:30 tour - got the best of both worlds. The time spent at the many stops was enough. Our tour guide Tony was the best!!!! He helped us take the best pictures. John Fords Point stop was my fave
Nikki_G, Feb 2026
Amazing! The views were breathtaking and we learned a lot about the Native American culture. We have many beautiful pictures and great memories.

Tony gave us a great tour and a great time. He knew his subject well and gave a super commentary regarding the names of the rocks and shared great knowledge of the area. He also took an extended root around the back of the valley. Tony even got his drum out and sang to us! A great Tour with a Great Guide.
