It was well worth the money. Cody was so entertaining and enjoyed his history of the people and monuments.

If you drive yourself into Monument Valley you will miss a lot as many areas are only accessible by tours. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable.

This was a very nice tour overall. Jamie the guide was knowledgeable and friendly and the place itself is spectacular. The overlooks and places were great. Eagle's Eye was a favorite. Downside was the "meal." One fry bread taco, a few beans, lettuce, tomato onion cheese. The flute music was terrific, and dancing enjoyable. Note: In October, the temps were in the low 50's and the drive back to the pick up station was miserable. The open air truck at 40 miles an hour was super cold. We felt like there was no way to adequately dress for the wind hitting you right in the face for 20 minutes. And the ride itself is super bumpy. Not for anyone who couldn't ride a rough and tumble roller coaster. Some had some trouble getting into the open air truck. Oh, and no toilet paper at the stops. I think the tour providers should pay to stock the toilets. (There still wasn't any on the next day's tours either.) I would recommend the experience to my sturdy friends only, with the recommendation that they eat before they go, pack their own TP, wear a parka if it's October, and be ready for a bumpy, bone jarring ride. But the place is so beautiful, and you can feel the quiet.

This was well worth the money! Saw some beautiful and super cool scenery. Cody was an awesome guide and had lots of knowledge. The dinner was tasty and watching the sun set and the full moon rise on our tour was phenomenal!!

It was an amazing evening. Stanley, our driver/guide, took us into the back areas of Monument Valley, explained geography and culture of his people. Then we had a delicious meal of Navajo tacos on authentic fry bread. A young Navajo teen danced fir us in full native regalia while his father sang with drum. You might want to bring an old Civid mask because the dust kicks up while drving. It was a really bumpy ride! Pretty tough on a bad back!

Loved the experience of this tour. It was wonderful to see Monument Valley through the eyes of our guide. It was very informative of his native culture. The picture of more than one American Dancer wasn’t true for our tour
we only had one. For some reason they did not have us listed for the tour but thankfully I had proof that we had paid for the tour and let us go

A must do when visiting Monument Valley! Our guide Cody made you feel more like a friend rather than just a stranger taking another tour.

Cody was a superb guide. He provided valuable information on Navajo (Dine) history. He took us to breathtaking views and geographical wonders. He also helped us to take some amazing photos. The cultural immersion of the whole experience was top tier.

We had an amazing experience. Our guide Clyde was amazing, full of local lore and history. He was an amazing dancer as well. We had storms all around us but dodge the rain. Highly recommend this experience.

What a great time we had on this .tour.Richard was so informative and fun.we enjoyed ourselves so much.going on the back country of Monument Valley.
GARY_S, Aug 2025
Great time of day to see the monuments in a different light and shadow contrast. Cody was great. Informative and humorous.
Glory_d, Jul 2025
Driving through the landmarks was stunning but we could hardly hear our guide because the mic/speaker is scratchy. Dinner was okay for a vegetarian. We cannot appreciate the dance because we couldn’t see anything in the dark, the introduction was too long. Bonfire would have help and looks more authentic, but if bonfire is not allowed the vehicle’s headlights would have been a good alternative in order for us to see the performance. Better yet, let your guests participate on the dance for them to experience your culture.

Our guide Wayne was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He made the trip a lot of fun with his stories, drum playing and helpful picture taking.

Our tour guide, Jamie, did a fantastic job! He was very knowledgeable and knew the perfect spots for some amazing photos. The Navajo tacos were good. We were a little disappointed that there was no meat/steak for the tacos. We were also under the impression (from the tour description) that food would be cooked over open fire. Everything was already prepared when we arrived. We loved the dancing and music. We would recommend this tour to anyone!

Bring water hat and scarf. Dusty if windy and a solid shoe . Informative about the Navajo people and the area

Cody was our tour guide. He was great. The tour took us to places we would not have been to able to see on our own. This tour is not to be missed.

The tour of Monument Valley was interesting, but the dinner and cultural experience was not what we expected. Dinner was fry bread with some beans, lettuce and cheese, similar to a taco and a soda. Meager fare. The cultural experience was question and answer with a few songs while our guide danced. Overall the experience was fine, but not amazing.
Rebecca_T, Mar 2025
It’s was fun and a happy adventure approved by a 12 year old. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Food and entertainment was outstanding
Richard_H, Mar 2025
We had gone on a previous tour to n the morning and although this was similar, the guides were very different . Both very good. Cody for dreamcatcher had a good sense of humour and knowledge about the valley.
Krishna_M, Mar 2025
Stanley our tour guide was very informative. He is knowledgeable, patient and knows all the details of the park. His songs, the dinner with the dance and the amazing history of the land makes the trip so memorable. Highly recommend this tour.

It was a magical tour.....Our local guide was great; The valley was great and seeing areas not allowed to just those that drive the trail was great.......Overall, one of the best tours ever taken via Viator.

This was a very enjoyable tour! The scenery is unforgettable and our guide Wayne made it better with his knowledge & stories of the area. He sang a beautiful song and played the drum. Then to have a sunset dinner while listening to more stories and also listening to songs with Jamie dancing was wonderful. And then to see all the stars come out was amazing!
Sheila_T, Oct 2024
Our guide, Dana, was from the MV area and very knowledgable about the area and the Navajo culture and traditions. We definitely went to areas in the backcountry that we would never have seen otherwise. We did the evening Dreamcatcher experience which was unique but we had already done a sunrise tour that morning so saw a lot of the same areas - but saw some new areas too.
The dinner and entertainment was a bit disappointing - had steaks (thin and so tough you could not eat them) and Navajo tacos - which were fine, just not worth the cost. The entertainment was fun just sitting around the fire. The weather was perfect to be outside and the stars are so amazing when you are out in the valley at night.

Great experience with our guide Cody. We really enjoyed the story telling and all the little extras thst only a native to the area would know. My only suggestion would be better instructions on where to meet for pickup. All of us on the tour had trouble finding the correct place.
Jerry_D, Oct 2024
Our tour guide “Jamie” kind of got stuck with us as his only two guests on the tour. We were told to meet at the Welcome Center (which we did), but all of the other ticket holders met at the Visitor’s Center about 5 miles in from the Welcome Center. This ended up being a big plus for us, as he gave us a very good personal tour including taking pictures of us at key points. Would highly recommend this tour. Will see much more than if you go on your own.
Becky_R, Oct 2024
Unforgettable experience! Cody was an excellent tour guide through Monument Valley! Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed the sunset tour and dinner with Navajo entertainment!
Rosemary_T, Oct 2024
This tour was so much fun and a great learning experience. The guide, Cody was great and help us take great photographs! I highly recommend this tour!
Donald_C, Sep 2024
Jamie was an outstanding tour guide, he was educational, informative about the Navajo culture, patient answering questions, assisted a number of us taking outstanding photos with our iPhones that we didn’t know could be done. It was absolutely one of our most memorable experiences. Without the tour driving around Monument Valley wouldn’t have meant anything.
