What To Expect

Try your hand at deep sea fishing on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean from Miami on this group fishing excursion.

You can choose either a day or night trip, depending on your schedule, and which type of fish you’re aiming to catch.

This is great for beginners or more-advanced deep sea fishers. You’ll have a full tutorial on how to use your equipment (which is all included) and what to expect.

Besides the fishing part of the adventure, you can also relax on your boat and take in the scenery while your captain takes care of logistics.

Potentially plan to not catch anything since some lines will catch with others’. It was a cool experience since you get to see the skyline and a different view of the city of Miami from afar. All in all, it was a great experience catching a porgy (even though it was with the boat deck’s line) and ended up taking all the fish that was caught from others and had it gutted by the boat deck’s people. I took this to a nearby restaurant and had them fry it and it was a great meal. Thanks!

Andre, I understand your frustration and disappointment with the poor fishing on your trip. As a crew, we try to find hungry fish every trip with the limited time we have. Sadly, we have trips where fish just won't cooperate, making our job more difficult. Did the Captain move the boat a few times? Many times we change depth and or locations and have success. Were you treated fairly? Our goal is to do whatever it takes to make this trip the best it can be. I hope this enlightens you so that if you try to fish again you will understand the process better.

The workers on the boat keep arguing with each other. Very uncomfortable situation. The lady that works there should be medicated. She spent the whole trip arguing with Bob, which was a very nice guy.

No fish finder

Of course, we have expensive fish finders and navigational equipment to put us on fish. But, there is a common misconception that either fish are always hungry, or there is a "spot" that anyone can go to, anytime, and catch fish. If you think about it, neither of these can be true. Nothing is hungry 24 hours a day, every day, and if there were "one spot" the fish would always be caught, as if an endless supply of hungry fish were there. Our singular goal is to provide the best experience possible within our control, and do our best to catch fish in the process. Were you treated fairly? Did you enjoy the boat ride? I'm sorry the trip wasn't up to your expectations. I hope my answer satisfied your concerns.

We csught 4 fish and our son caught a shark. We then took our fish to Mikes Bar in the Venetian and it was cooked perfectly! Ruby and Maria were so helpful on the trip and Ruby is an expert line detangler. Thank you Capt Steve for a great trip!

The communication and...

The communication and execution of the trip could’ve been much better. There was little information as to where to go once we got to the marina and spent a long time looking for the right boat. Once on the boat, there wasn’t much communication and it basically seemed like the crew didn’t want to be there. We spent 30 minutes going through incredibly high waves at a high speed out to the fishing site and as a result easily 50% of the boat was sick. My son who loves fishing, couldn’t even fish because he was so ill.. The only fish that was caught was by the captain in the first five minutes. And one of the crew members was constantly yelling at another crew member and just altogether disagreeable for four hours, which made the trip unenjoyable as well. I think with a friendlier crew and better precautions and communication on such a windy day it would’ve been a terrific experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case for us.

If the winds are heavy, the water will be very choppy so it would be best to take some type of motion sickness medication before doing this. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to everyone.

Thank you for the kind review. We have had such wonderful weather for the past several months that this high wind/waves condition may have caught us a but off our game. Advising customers, to the best of our ability, to take motion sickness meds should be visible to all clients while booking. Crew was friendly but 100% unsafe to take us out in the windy conditions with rough ocean. At some point, safety first versus making money. It was seriously bad. 2 stars to the crew who were nice. Not their fault.

Thank you for your honest review. Safety is the priority when the sea conditions are rough. Frequently, the forecast isn't what we experience when we leave the inlet. We cancel trips many times when we feel the customers cannot handle the experience. We do try to communicate with everyone before departing just to make them aware of possibly rough conditions. Our first priority isn't about the money, it is about making the trip the best we can considering the weather as well as the customers present. It was a good trip but the day we went out it was rough. People were being sick, not pleasant to hear/see. Rods weren't great for proper sea fishing, one snapped when one person was trying to reel in a large fish. Only stopped a few times to fish rest of time we sailed. We weren't told to pre-order water/drinks so no water/drinks available on the boat. Wpuld have brought our own if we'd known. Live vait $20 unlimited but in reality 4-5 fish/ 1-2 per each stop. Lines got tangled as so close to each other. Toilet was disgusting so go before you sail. Ww heard tgat if you catch a big enough fish to eat they will clean it for free for you but you then have to go to a restaurant for it to be cooked for you and eat it there. The boat is not a pleasure cruiser, so if you're not fishing and just watching, it's not great for that. It was an ok activity.

I apologize for the poor experience you had with us. Our goal is to do whatever possible within our control to make the tour the best it can be for all. We are open to the general public, and frequently have folks just walk up to join others onboard. Fishing with many lines will cause more tangles, which our crew quickly will handle. There were 31 passengers onboard your trip. We cannot control the weather of course, but it is our standard practice to advise customers of potential sea conditions before boarding. We also cannot control of course; how good the fishing is. Our crew are highly trained to be at their best every trip. It's concerning you may have not been treated as well as you'd have liked. It was a fun time for sure. Be prepared with motion sickness patches and sunscreen. We went as a family of 6 and we were required to pay the gratuities before we even left the shore. I wasn't expecting it to be over $50 that he requested, just be aware that will be expected even with the cost of the trip for 6 people.

We had a great time on there fishing charter! This was my first time ocean fishing and my buddy’s.They price was phenomenal for $85.They were very helpful and made it easy for us to board we came a little past 1:45pm but they waited Kindly till we got there :) They took us deep out we caught a lot of salt water fish. I will charter again with them. I definitely recommend to book a charter with them.

Thanks for the honest review. Since we offer our services to all comers, it will crowd the boat at times more then customers would like. Depending on the conditions, many times we anchor to utilize both sides of the boat, other times we hace to drift and fish off one side only.

It was ok. The hosts were friendly and helpful but a bit disorganized it seemed. We still had fun. My husband caught 2 and I caught one. We did see dolphins as we sailed. That was cool. Overall I feel like it was ok but for the money I would have expected just a little more. Music? Free waters maybe? Idk. Just seemed lacking something for the cost.

Bad weather but still set sail

I like all the Miami tours except this one. The day we set sailed had a terrible sea condition but we were informed it should be only 2-3 feet tall waves and still departed. I know canceling a scheduled trip may disappoint many people but would be a better option not to get us such a bad experience. I am not a easily seasick person and never puke before but this time most of the passengers got really sick. Captain changed 4 fishing spots and no one get even a bite. When we found no fish in the 1st spot I was already thinking when can we return. I would strongly suggest for future trips, if the weather doesn't permit, just switch to a inshore fishing. So that people can still got some catch in a much safer place.

The biggest disappointment we deal with is how many fish we catch. Unfortunately, we cannot make them bite if they are not hungry, but only move to a different area, as you say the captain did 4 times. Yes, at times people get seasick, even in moderate seas, it's all about their personal tolerance to the motion. We absolutely cancel our trips with small craft warnings, even though we aren't considered a small craft, but do so with the customer's comfort in mind.
