One of the guides with long hair was extremely rude to eveyone and screaming at people. No warning to bring your own drinks and we were extremely thirsty.

My son and I were in Miami for summer vacation. We wanted to try a deep sea fishing excursion. The captain was very descriptive of what to expect. The one crew member made it abundantly clear that he only got paid through tips and that his attention would be focused on them. He mentioned tips one too many times, IMO. Pay the crew so each participant doesn’t feel pressured to tip. We paid for the trip. I didn’t expect preferential treatment, but the continual conversation was tiring and disappointing.
Brian_M, Jul 2026
You need to like sea fishing. Its not for casual tourists. Far too many people on the boat on the one side. Constantly lines getting tangled. Staff great though
Val_B, Jun 2026
We had an absolutely fantastic fishing trip from start to finish! The captain and crew were knowledgeable, professional, and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable throughout the day. They knew exactly where to find the fish and were always willing to help, whether it was baiting hooks, offering fishing tips, or sharing local knowledge.
Matthew_C, Jun 2026
Great crew. Put us on fish. Tremendous ride and overall good experience. Recommend to anyone wanting some small fish action
Robert_T, Jun 2026
Good coaching and assistance with rods, bait, etc. (You can keep fish if you choose.). Beautiful shoreline.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for your positive review. I will share it with your crew who will be inspired!
Tayler_M, Jun 2026
We booked this charter based on the great reviews, but unfortunately our experience didn't match what we were expecting.
The biggest issue was how crowded the boat was. With so many people fishing at once, lines were constantly getting tangled, which meant a lot of time was spent waiting instead of actually fishing. By the end of the trip, only two fish had been caught across the entire charter, which was pretty disappointing.
The crew was polite and worked hard, and we understand that catching fish is never guaranteed. However, the overall experience felt rushed and overcrowded, making it difficult to really enjoy the trip. If you're looking for a more hands-on or productive fishing experience, you may want to consider a smaller charter.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for your honest review. You hit on some issues that are difficult to mitigate.
The crowding issue is understandable. We try to accommodate everyone whether they booked previously or walked up at departure time. When this happens, we will primarily anchor the boat so as to fish all around, and not only on one side, which we do routinely with 25 plus passengers. If we need to use 2 sides we can drift fish, but only when the lines don't go at conflicting angles. Wind and current conditions can make a nightmare out of any scenario no matter what we do. Regarding the catch, we understand your disappointment. Unfortunately, fish only bite when hungry, and we have to try to find them hungry on every trip. You will not see our boat sitting in one spot the duration of the trip unless we are successful.
I'm happy you mentioned the crews efforts. This is something we take great pride in and can control! I will forward your comments to your crew, and thank you again.

Take extra water, wear sunscreen, do not backwash-keep your thumb on the spool to prevent line from knotting. Bring cash, recommend purchasing live bait. Great time, great crew!
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Awesome review, thank you so much! I will pass the compliment to the crew !
Damon_M, Jun 2026
Was a great trip. Had a great value money wise. James was a really nice guy and helped out. Only thing is we drifted the same spot for hours and I wish we would’ve kept moving
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thanks for the kind review. James will appreciate your compliment.
I understand your concern about moving the boat and looking for fish. It's very unusual for us to only do one drift in a trip, unless of course we are catching fish! Our crew is under the gun, so to speak, trying to produce fish every trip. Moving the boat to different depths or areas is somewhat limited by the time we have. When to move is a calculated, educated guess that our captains decide on. When it works, the Captain is a hero; when it doesn't, he has to absorb the criticism.
I hope this helps clarify the crew's motives!
Thanks again!
Captain Wayne

Had a great time even though I was skeptical at first when I arrived at the boat. The boat itself is a little run-down, but has the right character for sure! James and Nick the deckhands, bait men, and all around fun promoters were helpful and informative and very cool. Captain Steve put us in the right spot for some fish, which is of course key in this business. After I was fortunate enough to catch a pretty sizable kingfish, Captain Steve also gave me an amazing recommendation for a place nearby that would cook up my fish steaks and provide a meal for me for the evening - as well as cook the rest of the fish for me to bring back to the hotel for the next day! Roman at Mike’s at the Venetia cooked the fish to perfection, served blackened with a couple of sides, Mia was very courteous and helpful while I enjoyed a few beers and my amazing dinner at the bar.

Thank you for the kind review! I will share it with the crew, as they will be happy to hear.
Jesse_O, May 2026
The crew is amazing, very helpful in making sure everyone has the best possible chance to catch something. Anyone interested in deep sea fishing should start here
Andre_M, May 2026
No one on board caught anything came all the way from NYC to catch nothing. Lesson learned it’s bad when nobody catches nothing
Response from Host, May 2026
Andre,
I understand your frustration and disappointment with the poor fishing on your trip.
As a crew, we try to find hungry fish every trip with the limited time we have. Sadly, we have trips where fish just won't cooperate, making our job more difficult.
Did the Captain move the boat a few times? Many times we change depth and or locations and have success. Were you treated fairly? Our goal is to do whatever it takes to make this trip the best it can be.
I hope this enlightens you so that if you try to fish again you will understand the process better.
Lygia_K, May 2026
The workers on the boat keep arguing with each other. Very uncomfortable situation. The lady that works there should be medicated. She spent the whole trip arguing with Bob, which was a very nice guy.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you so much for your review,
I'm so sorry your experience wasn't up to your expectations.
I always take pride in our crew and how they present themselves to our customers. Obviously, they failed to do so on your trip.
I will share this with the crew, who will face consequences.
Thanks again,

Joseph_W, Apr 2026
Nobody caught anything and it was really disappointing the very least. The captain could do is get a fish finder , and at least take us to places he can confirm have fish
Response from Host, May 2026
Hello, Captain Wayne here, owner of Reward Fleet.
Thank you for your honest review, as it allows me to address this concern properly for potential customers to read who may use our services. Of course, we have expensive fish finders and navigational equipment to put us on fish. But, there is a common misconception that either fish are always hungry, or there is a "spot" that anyone can go to, anytime, and catch fish. If you think about it, neither of these can be true. Nothing is hungry 24 hours a day, every day, and if there were "one spot" the fish would always be caught, as if an endless supply of hungry fish were there.
Our singular goal is to provide the best experience possible within our control, and do our best to catch fish in the process.
Were you treated fairly? Did you enjoy the boat ride?
I'm sorry the trip wasn't up to your expectations. I hope my answer satisfied your concerns.
North_C, Apr 2026
We csught 4 fish and our son caught a shark. We then took our fish to Mikes Bar in the Venetian and it was cooked perfectly! Ruby and Maria were so helpful on the trip and Ruby is an expert line detangler. Thank you Capt Steve for a great trip!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for the kind review, it's just what we want to hear!
I will share this with the crew, it will please them!

It was rough seas but the deckhands still managed to help our son land a fish so it was a win for us!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
It's great to hear that you had a good experience with your son! Thank you so much for sharing your review!
Nicole_B, Apr 2026
The communication and execution of the trip could’ve been much better. There was little information as to where to go once we got to the marina and spent a long time looking for the right boat. Once on the boat, there wasn’t much communication and it basically seemed like the crew didn’t want to be there. We spent 30 minutes going through incredibly high waves at a high speed out to the fishing site and as a result easily 50% of the boat was sick. My son who loves fishing, couldn’t even fish because he was so ill.. The only fish that was caught was by the captain in the first five minutes. And one of the crew members was constantly yelling at another crew member and just altogether disagreeable for four hours, which made the trip unenjoyable as well. I think with a friendlier crew and better precautions and communication on such a windy day it would’ve been a terrific experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case for us.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
I appreciate your review and apologize for any shortcomings you and your son experienced on your fishing trip. Communication, especially with weather concerns, is supposed to be a daily practice that wasn't done or seen in your case.
I will show this review to the crew in the interest of making our customers' tour the best it can be.
Elkins_T, Apr 2026
If the winds are heavy, the water will be very choppy so it would be best to take some type of motion sickness medication before doing this.
The staff was friendly and very accommodating to everyone.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for the kind review. We have had such wonderful weather for the past several months that this high wind/waves condition may have caught us a but off our game. Advising customers, to the best of our ability, to take motion sickness meds should be visible to all clients while booking. I will personally look into adding it to our trip descriptions to make everyone more aware of the potential of rough weather. Thanks again!
Fred_B, Apr 2026
Crew was friendly but 100% unsafe to take us out in the windy conditions with rough ocean. At some point, safety first versus making money. It was seriously bad. 2 stars to the crew who were nice. Not their fault.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your honest review. Safety is the priority when the sea conditions are rough. Frequently, the forecast isn't what we experience when we leave the inlet.
We cancel trips many times when we feel the customers cannot handle the experience. We do try to communicate with everyone before departing just to make them aware of possibly rough conditions.
Our first priority isn't about the money, it is about making the trip the best we can considering the weather as well as the customers present.
Thank you again, I will share this review with the crew to inspire them to be at their best every trip.
William_P, Apr 2026
Crew is excellent - especially with kids!!! I would recommend to all families-they helped the kids catch fish
Emma_C, Apr 2026
It was a good trip but the day we went out it was rough. People were being sick, not pleasant to hear/see. Rods weren't great for proper sea fishing, one snapped when one person was trying to reel in a large fish. Only stopped a few times to fish rest of time we sailed. We weren't told to pre-order water/drinks so no water/drinks available on the boat. Wpuld have brought our own if we'd known.
Live vait $20 unlimited but in reality 4-5 fish/ 1-2 per each stop.
Lines got tangled as so close to each other.
Toilet was disgusting so go before you sail.
Ww heard tgat if you catch a big enough fish to eat they will clean it for free for you but you then have to go to a restaurant for it to be cooked for you and eat it there.
The boat is not a pleasure cruiser, so if you're not fishing and just watching, it's not great for that.
It was an ok activity.
Nicole_C, Apr 2026
Too many people. Fishing lines would tangle because there were so many people. Very bumpy. Half the boat got sick. Absolutely no hospitality. One person out of 50 caught a fish.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
I apologize for the poor experience you had with us. Our goal is to do whatever possible within our control to make the tour the best it can be for all. We are open to the general public, and frequently have folks just walk up to join others onboard. Fishing with many lines will cause more tangles, which our crew quickly will handle. There were 31 passengers onboard your trip.
We cannot control the weather of course, but it is our standard practice to advise customers of potential sea conditions before boarding. We also cannot control of course; how good the fishing is. Our crew are highly trained to be at their best every trip. It's concerning you may have not been treated as well as you'd have liked.
As always with negative reviews, I will share this with the crew. Thanks again for the review, it's greatly appreciated.

The people helping ous were amazing we got drinks and water for cheap and caught great fish had an absolute blast 10/10
Response from Host, Mar 2026
We appreciate it when customers take the time to leave their feedback.
The crew will be happy to see how you were impressed with them. We cannot always catch fish, but we can ALWAYS treat our customers with dignity and respect.
Thank you for
Joshua_S, Feb 2026
Potentially plan to not catch anything since some lines will catch with others’. It was a cool experience since you get to see the skyline and a different view of the city of Miami from afar. All in all, it was a great experience catching a porgy (even though it was with the boat deck’s line) and ended up taking all the fish that was caught from others and had it gutted by the boat deck’s people. I took this to a nearby restaurant and had them fry it and it was a great meal. Thanks!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Joshua! Thanks for the review. We strive to provide a memorable experience for our customers. We hope to see you again in the future. Reward Fishing Team
Shane_T, Feb 2026
Deck hands work for tips bring cash or have way to tip them venmo apple pay etc was great experience
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Hi,
Thank you for the kind review.
We will review how we mention tipping in our listing. From my perspective, tipping is best received after a customer deems it appropriate. That said, many groups appreciate us mentioning it.
Jaci_C, Feb 2026
It was a fun time for sure. Be prepared with motion sickness patches and sunscreen. We went as a family of 6 and we were required to pay the gratuities before we even left the shore. I wasn't expecting it to be over $50 that he requested, just be aware that will be expected even with the cost of the trip for 6 people.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank for the nice review. I apologize for any inconvenience and misconception regarding the gratuity. This should have been clear to you at time of booking. We hope to see you again!
