Free parking is available at the Miccosukee Gas Station located across the street from the Shark Valley Visitor Center.

Is the Airboat ride and Nature Walk family-friendly?

Absolutely! This tour is appropriate for guests ages 5 and over.

Can I bring my child under 5 years old?

All guests must be at least 5 years old to participate.

Due to the nature of the airboat ride, this tour is not recommended for pregnant guests.

Can I bring a pet or service animal with me on the Airboat ride and Nature Walk?

As the alligators may swim directly up to the side of the airboat, animals of any kind are not allowed onboard.

How long is the actual airboat ride?

The cruise is approximately one hour long. You will also have some free time to explore the exhibits, including large & baby alligators and a wide variety of bird and other wildlife.

Will I see other wildlife besides alligators?

Absolutely! The Everglades are beautiful, with exotic birds, plants, and animals everywhere; so you never know what you will encounter!

How safe is the Everglades Airboat ride?

All airboat captains are certified by the U.S. Coast Guard and exceptionally skilled in navigating the designated routes. The airboats have comfortable seating and are very safe.

Will I get wet during the Airboat ride?

There is minimal splashing on an airboat, so you will only get wet if you visit on a rainy day!

Is covered seating available during the Airboat ride?

In order to maximize the view, all airboats have open-air seating. This is the best way to truly experience the majesty of Everglades National Park while traversing the pristine waters and exploring the unique ecosphere so many wonderful plants and animals call home.

How fast does the airboat go?

Airboats can be very fast, with some modified boats reaching speeds in excess of 130 mph, however, you will not exceed speeds of 35 to 40 mph while visiting the Everglades.

How strenuous is the Adventure Hike?

It is a very easy walk, and you will take your time in order to locate and enjoy viewing the local wildlife!

Is lunch included in the Airboat ride and Nature Walk?

Lunch is not included, however, snacks, water, and other beverages are provided during the tour.

How should I dress for the Airboat ride and Nature Walk?

From April through early November, it can get pretty hot out there! Dress comfortably. Shorts and a T-shirt are usually fine. In the winter it can be warm too, but it can also get chilly out there sometimes, so you may wish to bring a sweater or light jacket.

What should I bring with me on the Airboat ride and Nature Walk?

Be sure to bring a valid, Gov't-issued ID and a camera. A hat, sunglasses and a light jacket are recommended. Sunscreen, insect repellant and ponchos are available for use when necessary.

Tour guides were very knowledgeable, professional, kind, and personable. Water and snacks were provided, but be prepared with a hat and sunscreen. Lots of gators and birds. The baby alligators were fun to see. Excellent photo opportunities. Mitch went above and beyond with information, lots of details and assistance.

This was a bucket list item, and may I say, at the end of the day, we were definitely pleased. Two thumbs WAY UP!! We saw lots of wildlife on our walking tour, and then after that, we boarded the Airboat for even more adventure. Our guide was Tammy and she genuinely loves her job. She is 100% a natural at being a tour guide and has an outstanding personality that goes right along with that. Seeing the Gators, the Turtles, the Birds and everything else was certainly great, but Tammy’s personality and extensive knowledge was what sealed the deal and put this day into such a wonderful experience for all of us. Pickup & Dropoff at our hotel was a bonus too. Book **THIS** excursion with **THIS** company and trust me, you’ll have zero regrets!!!!

Fantastic way to get out of the hustle and bustle of Miami and to enjoy one of the most unique, natural areas in the world. The Everglades encompasses many different ecosystems, so you see a wild variety of animals and vegetation. Armando, our tour guide, taught us ecology, history, and culture, all with a great attitude and sense of humor. We learned so much, and my kids had a great time.

Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We appreciated the snacks on the trip. While the boat ride itself was enjoyable it was lackluster. Maybe my expectations were higher for more of a high speed adventure through the Everglades, but this was basically a trip down a man made channel with a short detour into the wetlands.

We messaged you and others on the tour in advance to let you know that due to the drought situation in the Everglades, we were going to go into Big Cypress on the airboat, and into a beautiful area with a lot of wildlife, which is what we did (instead of going out north into the River of Grass). People had the opportunity to reschedule or cancel. We are doing our best at this time. We can't control Mother Nature. Thanks for coming out there with us.

Guys, this was incredible. We were in fort lauderdale for a pre-cruise stay and had to see the Everglades whilst here. I don’t think this could have been much better. Thanks to Amando’s knowledge and experience, the nature walk was just incredible and we learned so much in little time. To be so close to a gator was insane and we saw so many! Whilst a slightly early start, we really did beat the crowds and the walk is timed perfectly to see wildlife at active times. Don’t hesitate on this one!

What an incredible trip! Ryan was an awesome tour guide- so engaging and very knowledgeable about local history and animals and plants in the Everglades. He was also very funny and friendly, keeping things interesting. We saw so many alligators - even a mother and her babies, along with multiple adults. Also tons of interesting birds and plants. I’m really glad this tour had the walking part and the airboat. The airboat was very fun and we got to see beautiful cypress trees and moss and more wildlife, including gators. But it is so loud that you can’t hear anything; having the walking part was a great opportunity to learn and also see things close up. Ryan even had ponchos in case of rain and water and snacks. All in all, we had a fantastic time and so did our 11-year-old son. Can’t recommend this enough!!

Immersed in nature in the exotic Everglades

In a small group of just 8 visitors, Adi guided us on a two mile hike on the Shark Creek trail. She spoke from a place of deep knowledge of the natural environment. She showed us species of plants and birds that we wouldn’t have found on our own, and of course introduced us to a whole lot of alligators. Next we traveled by air boat through the Big Cypress National Preserve where we saw an incredible variety of birds. Wild Lime tours made it easy for us, providing pick up and drop off at our downtown Miami hotel.
