Whale watching at its best even in the rain! Saw lots and lots of whales, babies breaching! Quite a show! Boat was great getting us to the whales when they spotted them. Learned a lot along the way and loved them using the hydrophone to hear them. Both captain and guide were wonderful Would do this again for sure

SO MANY whales!! We had so much fun. Everyone was great - so friendly and knowledgeable! We had Alison and Luke who answered every question we had about whales. The boat wasn’t too crowded, and we got to see over a dozen whales. Mostly mommas and their new babies. They were breaching, fin flapping, tail slapping all over the place. Highly recommend.

This tour was absolutely amazing! Travis and Allison were our guides and they were both so knowledgeable, funny and kind. We saw whales. Dolphins and even sea turtles. I would recommend this tour to anyone and would definitely do it again next time I am on the island.

We saw multiple whale pods throughout the time. Guides were super knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Weather was overcast and pleasant.

Ideal whale watching experience in our opinion. Not too big or too small. In the perfect location to see whale activity. Very experienced and knowledgeable crew to learn about whale behavior.

Allison and Levi were great! Went over all safety protocols before we went out. Knowledgeable and funny. Nice clean and roomy vessel. Found a group of whales that we were able to follow and watch for a good while. Don’t hesitate to book this excursion!

Fan-freaking-tastic!!! We had low expectations for late in the season viewing but Levi & Allison really produced. They were educational & fun and the amount of whales we saw just made our whole trip. It was totally amazing to all 6 in our group & we highly recommend!!!

Even though we went out toward the end of whale season, we were still able to see multiple humpbacks, including a momma and baby breaching the water right next to the boat. Travis and Dani were super nice and knowledgeable. 100% would book again with Makai Adventures!

Maui was hit with Kona Low while we were there this year. The whale watch saved our vacation. If we go back to Maui, we will do another with Makai Adventures. Travis and Noah were a lot of fun and informative. Best day of our vacation.

We had a lot of surface activity. It was amazing. Levi and Allie were wonderful guides. They were fun and took good care of us. We had a member of our group start to feel oogey. Levi jumped in and got her in the back of the boat before things got any worse. So thoughtful and aware.

Whales a plenty!

This excursion was fantastic! We saw so many whales doing all kinds of things. We saw the most breaches seen by the Levi and Dani, the team members. Many tails, many fun slaps and even a head bob. They were everywhere and we enjoyed each one! The waves were high so a little uncomfortable as and unsteady. But a real treat!

The boat was just as described: comfortable seats, plenty of shade and a strong motor. Travis did a great job driving the boat, it was rough out there, and he masterfully zoomed over to where the whales were. Dani did a wonderful job of sharing her knowledge of whales and answering questions. We saw lots of whales! It was a great outing!

Check in was quick and easy. Sailing crew were great and informative. We were lucky to see 5 whales and their calves. Also thrilled that some of the whales breached and their calves were leaving too. A great day.
