Learn to snorkel comfortably and safely on this small, intimate group snorkel lesson in Maui. Non-swimmers and first-time snorkelers are all welcome.
You’ll easily meet your guide at the departure point, and then you’re provided with all of your gear. Learn about how your mask, snorkel, and fins work, and how to use them effectively. You’ll spend some time in shallow water, getting comfortable with your gear and learning about water safety.
After your shallow water practice, you’ll go out on a paddleboard where you have the chance to see more underwater life, like colorful fish and turtles.
If you ever feel insecure, your instructor will be right there to hold your hand if necessary.

Really a great experience that was a good balance for us. My wife was given extra attention as a beginner and I was able to explore more freely. Tristan is an excellent instructor and made us feel at ease the whole time. We saw beautiful turtles and fish and really enjoyed this excursion. Definitely check it out!

Great family adventure. James was an excellent guide who made us feel safe and comfortable in the water, and we saw starfish, tropical fish, turtles and a manta ray! This was the perfect end of our vacation and we highly recommend this crew for beginners and intermediates.

Although the vigor of the ocean proved not to be our friend, we really enjoyed our experience with G as our snorkel guide. He spent the time needed to properly suit us up and prep us for our adventure and guided us out to open water despite the chop. While our trip unfortunately had to be cut short, we will definitely head out again the next time we are back in Hawai'i! The only recommendation we would have is to plan for potentially limited parking at Wailea Beach as a portion of the parking lot was closed so please confirm space availability before heading over.

Great company and a great snorkeling experience! Went out with our family of 4, kids are 5 and 6, and the instructors were so great with them. They were snorkeling without any problems thanks to the instruction they received. We’ll definitely be using MySplash for future snorkeling experiences when we return to Maui. Highly recommend!

This was such a great experience to do to get kids comfortable with snorkeling. My two daughters have never been before and Tristan, Ani and Sarah took great care of us. My one daughter was very nervous and spent most of the time on the board and Sarah kept her engaged throughout.
I’d highly recommend this experience for all first timers. It’s a great way to learn the basics and see some sea life.

Tristan and his crew were fantastic. They made us feel safe and confident during our first time snorkeling. He even took lots of pictures and videos and sent them to us after so we didn’t have to try to bring our phone or a camera.

In my opinion, my splash snorkeling experience is a must do, specially at Wailea beach, we had an amazing experience. James is a great guide, he took time to explain everything and made it super easy for us, he went above and beyond to show us the world beneath water. Our group had some nervous folks and he managed them really well.

Amazing snorkeling experience with Laura! We saw so many fish and even turtles. She’s a fantastic instructor who focuses on safety and explains all the marine life you might see. It was such a pleasant and cathartic experience. Would definitely go again.

The snorkeling for non swimmers was perfect for my two kids (8&11) who can swim but have never been snorkeling. We saw a number of turtles and my little one even ventured away from the paddle board a few times on her own. Thank you Ryan! Such a pleasant way to start the day.

As a non swimmer I felt in safe hands and never rushed. The team is really great with beginners and made sure we are comfortable in water and with the snorkel gears. The initial orientation and warm up on the shore to get familiar helped and the whole experience was a smooth sail. James was our instructor and he made sure to be around and watch and guide my 7 year old who came along.

Our snorkeling for beginners experience with My Splash Snorkeling exceeded all expectations. Triston and his team were outstanding—professional, patient, and fantastic with kids. They provided thorough training beforehand, which really helped everyone feel comfortable.
We were snorkeling with our three sons (ages 5, 8, and 9). Our youngest became scared once we were out there, and the crew handled the situation beautifully. They kept him occupied and safe on the board while the rest of us snorkeled, allowing everyone to still enjoy the experience.
The team also took tons of photos and were able to AirDrop them to us immediately, which we really appreciated. If I could give 6 stars, I would. We would definitely book with them again and highly recommend this tour—especially for families and first-time snorkelers.

Both guides did an excellent job working with the participants getting them acclimated to the water and using the equipment, especially those who were a bit more anxious. They were very patient and diligent. They used an inflatable raft to ride on to get us where we needed to go so we didn't need to swim to the viewing point where are we saw all sorts of fish and a sea turtle! The only bummer was that they didn't have their underwater GoPro for photos as another tour guide mistakenly took it. We felt safe the entire time. I would recommend this tour for the guides, their attentiveness, and as it was the perfect amount of time spent on the water as well.

I am at loss of words to describe my experience. Triston is great instructor. My husband and I are non swimmers but he made it so easy. We got to see so many turtles and so many fishes. Got to touch some coral reefs. We would like to do it again and if it was a subscription scheme, we would definitely sign up for it. 😍

This was our first time snorkeling in the open ocean and we had a fantastic time! Our guide Seth was very informative, helpful and kind, and made sure we had a great time. He helped us become familiar with the gear, how to use it and where we were going to go, which helped us feel comfortable. We enjoyed the tour so much we booked a second snorkeling experience at a different location on the same trip! We would definitely recommend it, even if you are nervous about snorkeling or it is your first time.

Such an amazing experience! My partner is not a swimmer at all, but quickly was put at ease with Tristan’s expert and patient guidance. He felt completely safe and comfortable, even in the open water, something that was very unexpected ( we fully didn’t think he would make it past the beach portion before coming to the tour). As an experienced swimmer and snorkeler myself, I appreciated having Tristan there to point out the various fish and sea life that we came across. I felt that both my partner and I were able to have amazing experiences with completely different skill levels. This tour was everything we wanted it to be and more! Highly recommend

This review is a couple years late but the experience was so memorable I have to post a review. This was a great experience from the moment we arrived. The hosts were amazing and very friendly, patient, and profesional. You get fitted with your gear and coached before hitting the water, which helps calm your nerves. I never learned to swim since I had a horrible experience as a kid during a swimming lesson and never wanted to try again. I never pictured myself being able to see our beautiful sea life up and personal, awesome experience for non-swimmers! We would definitely book this experience again!

Tristen was an awesome guide and made me feel very relaxed. The extent of my swimming consists of floating on my back and doggy paddling for 2-3 minutes before I tire out. The last time I attempted snorkeling I was ill prepared and almost drowned. If you are hesitant about snorkeling but still want to experience it, then this is the tour for you. Tristen provided the foundational knowledge needed to be successful. I was able to gain confidence and fully experience snorkeling. My husband who is a more experienced swimmer had a great time as well. Highly recommend!

My wife and I went on this trip together: I am an experienced swimmer (but new snorkeler), whereas my wife cannot swim at all and is afraid standing up in the pool. We both had a great time!! This was probably the highlight of our Maui trip.
Ryan was the perfect guide. He was very attentive to the less experienced swimmers' needs, giving them exactly the amount of attention they needed while still taking time to instruct the rest of us and point out where the interesting fish were. There was an introductory training in shallow water, getting used to using the snorkel, and my wife thought it was just the right amount of preparation. She was still afraid and held onto the raft in the deep water, but she was able to paddle around with her legs and use the snorkel to see the same things as the rest of us.
As for the wildlife: we saw a lot!! There were many different types of fish, and at least 4 sea turtles got very close to us. When Ryan wasn't helping our group members, he was diving underwater and taking amazing pictures of us and/or the wildlife. (He then shared these pictures with all of us, for free!)
Also, the My Splash team was very helpful in general and easy to communicate with. They were easy to find when we got to the beach, gave us tips beforehand about which session to choose (the waves are calmer in the morning), etc.
Overall awesome experience that I highly recommend.

Ryan and G were amazing guides! They helped our kids (10, 11 and 13) get well acquainted with the gear and even helped our ADHD son feel comfortable! They had everything we needed and went at our pace, allowing for breaks on the paddle board and pointing out awesome things on the reefs. Even gave great recommendations for local eats afterwards!

Tristan was absolutely amazing. This experience really made our trip to Maui!! One of my friends has an intense fear of water and Tristan single handedly helped her not only get past the fear, but snorkel in the big open ocean with confidence! He took quite a bit of time helping us get familiarized with the snorkeling gear, good practices, and being in the water. After that, we saw so many coral, fish, and even turtles!
