Learn to snorkel comfortably and safely on this small, intimate group snorkel lesson in Maui. Non-swimmers and first-time snorkelers are all welcome.
You’ll easily meet your guide at the departure point, and then you’re provided with all of your gear. Learn about how your mask, snorkel, and fins work, and how to use them effectively. You’ll spend some time in shallow water, getting comfortable with your gear and learning about water safety.
After your shallow water practice, you’ll go out on a paddleboard where you have the chance to see more underwater life, like colorful fish and turtles.
If you ever feel insecure, your instructor will be right there to hold your hand if necessary.

This was our first time snorkeling in the open ocean and we had a fantastic time! Our guide Seth was very informative, helpful and kind, and made sure we had a great time. He helped us become familiar with the gear, how to use it and where we were going to go, which helped us feel comfortable. We enjoyed the tour so much we booked a second snorkeling experience at a different location on the same trip! We would definitely recommend it, even if you are nervous about snorkeling or it is your first time.

Amazing experience. This was the first time experience for me, my wife and our 8 year old. Wife and I had limited swimming experience so we were nervous at the beginning. Seth did a great job with the instructions and made us feel really comfortable. We saw lots of marine life including sea turtles. It was definitely a memorable experience and would definitely recommend it for anyone with limited or no snorkeling experience.

A great introductory small group snorkeling experience. We wanted a guided trip for our 11 year old grandson and wanted to ensure there were professional eyes on him in the water. There were 6 of us in the group and 2 guides which worked out beautifully. The instructors gave a great overview of the snorkel equipment and we walked into the water using a large paddleboard we could sit on till we got to the snorkel spot. Downside was a large boat with 100 snorkelers - was right near our destination, but our instructors were able to keep some separation. We did experience a pretty heavy swell off Makena Beach, but that's nature! Our grandson was able to follow a sea turtle and snorkeled all the way back in to the beach. Instructors made us feel secure that he was being watched.

James was a great guide for folks who aren’t the best swimmers . He kept us calm , ensured us we were safe and reminded us the appreciation of the ocean . Definitely would recommend to go snorkeling with this company

We saw two turtles and got to hold a starfish and a sea urchin. It really is non-swimmer friendly experience. Our tour guides Sarah and Jammy are awesome! They made sure everyone has fun and felt safe.

The crew is very friendly and knowledgeable. They prep you well and boost your confidence before heading out to actual snorkeling spot. Benjamin and Sarah were super nice and made sure our tour was safe and wonderful. I highly recommend it if you’re a non swimmer.

James and Benjamin worked closely with me and ensured I was well-trained to go on the snorkeling adventure. They gave us ample instructions, and ensured we got the best out of the activity. Highly recommend especially for non-swimmers

10/10 would recommend and 10/10 would do it again! My 9 year old son was a G in the water. He has limited experience snorkeling but the instructors did a great job! I think my wife was a little more hesitant but she got over her own fear of the water. Overall, the instructors were all friendly and seemed like they really loved what they were doing out there!

Had our experience with James & Jasmine and it was hands-down, one of our favorite experiences!!
Jasmine had a really calm, soothing voice & manner that immediately puts you at ease. Even if you are a non-swimmer /novice swimmer you Can do this!!
They both got us into our gear, explained how to use the equipment and every part of the process, stayed nearby in the water with us and were just really, really good instructors.
10/10 will book again! They also took underwater photos of us.

Amazing experience for first time snorkelers! I went with my 5 year old son. Our guides were James and Jasmine. They were both super kind, patient, and thorough in explaining everything with how the snorkel gear works and what exactly we'd be doing. I want to highlight that they were both amazing with my little one, and went above and beyond helping him snorkel while I needed a moment when I was feeling a bit queasy (which I think was my own fault, I hadn't had enough water) - if you're thinking about booking this, do it! It was a fun and safe experience!

My absolute favorite snorkeling tour to do while in Maui ! It was my second time doing it and this year we were even able to take the life vest off and felt more comfortable than ever ! We will be back next year to do the scooter but if your eerie about the water or not a swimmer this is the perfect snorkel to book!

It was our first time snorkeling and Tristan made it so easy for us. We had never swum in the ocean before and were super nervous in the beginning. But Tristan made us comfortable with the snorkell gear within minutes. We saw 2 giant sea turtles and tons of sea life! Great experience and highly recommended as an introduction to snorkeling!

Tristin was the best instructor ever, he was so helpful for me. Was scared but once i relaxed it was worth it. Saw things I would have only seen at the aquarium. Love seeing the turtles and all the other fish. Was da best 👍. Mahalo!!

The experience was super fun. The instructors Triston and Jasmine were super welcoming and supportive, great for beginners.
Jasmine took good care of us and led us out into the ocean on a giant surf board. Triston took photo/videos of us and let us hold an urchin (which he said the locals used to use as a chalk :) ). Highly recommend this experience.

The best experience ever. I do not know swimming at all and i get freaked out if my feets dont touch the ground but all thanks to Triston. He made it work for me under 10 to 15feet water. Only because of him i was able to see the under water life. If you are not comfortable he will hold your hand and make you see the under water life. My words wont justify how greatful i am that i booked him for snorkel. I dont think so i would have found any better instructor than him

My 5 year old and I have pretty basic swim skills, and I’m quite afraid of water. Seth and team did a phenomenal job of keeping us safe and helping us to get a meaningful experience underwater while respecting our pace. My 5 year went from stressed to absolutely loving it - even after getting water into his snorkel a few times :) we would HIGHLY recommend this for experience who is willing to build a muscle on bravery, and snorkeling. The beauty underwater is sublime, and the experience cathartic.

We had an AMAZING time with Tristen. I am not comfortable at all in water and he had me snorkeling in just a few minutes. He’s very knowledgeable, friendly and confident. We felt very reassured that he had our safety as his highest priority. My kids had a fabulous time. It will be a great memory for us!

Tristan, the crew, and the experience were amazing. Would do it again. Be early to find parking, reapply sunblock, prep for motion sickness, and have all your questions answered before going into the ocean.

Great family adventure. James was an excellent guide who made us feel safe and comfortable in the water, and we saw starfish, tropical fish, turtles and a manta ray! This was the perfect end of our vacation and we highly recommend this crew for beginners and intermediates.

Although the vigor of the ocean proved not to be our friend, we really enjoyed our experience with G as our snorkel guide. He spent the time needed to properly suit us up and prep us for our adventure and guided us out to open water despite the chop. While our trip unfortunately had to be cut short, we will definitely head out again the next time we are back in Hawai'i! The only recommendation we would have is to plan for potentially limited parking at Wailea Beach as a portion of the parking lot was closed so please confirm space availability before heading over.

Great company and a great snorkeling experience! Went out with our family of 4, kids are 5 and 6, and the instructors were so great with them. They were snorkeling without any problems thanks to the instruction they received. We’ll definitely be using MySplash for future snorkeling experiences when we return to Maui. Highly recommend!

This was such a great experience to do to get kids comfortable with snorkeling. My two daughters have never been before and Tristan, Ani and Sarah took great care of us. My one daughter was very nervous and spent most of the time on the board and Sarah kept her engaged throughout.
I’d highly recommend this experience for all first timers. It’s a great way to learn the basics and see some sea life.

Tristan and his crew were fantastic. They made us feel safe and confident during our first time snorkeling. He even took lots of pictures and videos and sent them to us after so we didn’t have to try to bring our phone or a camera.

In my opinion, my splash snorkeling experience is a must do, specially at Wailea beach, we had an amazing experience. James is a great guide, he took time to explain everything and made it super easy for us, he went above and beyond to show us the world beneath water. Our group had some nervous folks and he managed them really well.
