Skip crowded boat tours for this small-group snorkeling excursion with a good chance to encounter dolphins. Cruise out from Lahaina Harbor across the Au’au channel to the Island of Lana’i. Snorkel among tropical fish, sea turtles, manta rays, and possibly dolphins—it’s estimated that dolphins are encountered near the island’s clear and calm waters around 85 percent of the time. Lunch is served onboard at one of the snorkel sites.

Lahaina Harbor access: Our crew will meet you in the parking lot at 116 Prison Street (along Front Street). The only access in and out of Front Street at this time is Shaw Street. Look for the Maui Adventure Cruises sign . A crew member will escort you to the harbor loading dock.

Great excursion. Smaller group so more personalized attention to what we wanted to see. Our captain, Scott, and his mate, Jack were great about finding the perfect snorkeling spots, we even swam with turtles. This is a great excursion, highly recommend!

This was our family’s first trip to Maui and also first time going snorkeling and it could not have gone better. Captain Cary and First mate Meredith were absolutely amazing. They were funny and entertaining with a lot of history about the islands and where we were going. We saw hundreds of different species of fish and were lucky enough to see both Spinner dolphins and Bottlenose dolphins. They swam right next to us and did many spins outside the water! We also ended the tour with seeing these fantastic sea turtles. You could see at least 15 turtles under the water at a time and a bunch come up to the surface to say hello! If you are also someone who is afraid to go snorkeling they teach you how to put on masks and breathe through it. You also are given a noodle or life vest if you are nervous about staying afloat and are offered a wetsuit top to rent for the day. This trip was truly a memory we will never forget because of this fantastic journey we took with Captain Cary and Meredith.

Captain Scott and first mate were great. They adapt to conditions and presence of dolphins and turtles. They’re helpful and engaging and adding interesting commentary during the trip. Everyone in our group and all of the fellow passengers really enjoyed the excursions.

Allison and Jack our captain and co-captain were awesome! We saw a huge dolphin pod and the snorkeling was out of this world. We saw turtles and sharks!

We appreciated the relaxed atmosphere
and personalized feel to the trip. There was a general structure, support if needed, excellent communication, and real time adjustments based on ocean and dolphin status. Scott’s skill at navigating+knowledge was impeccable, and Jack was just a joy at keeping structure in a fun way. I was sad it had to come to an end!

Allison & Jack were awesome captains and gracious hosts, consistently checking in with each guest throughout the whole cruise. We felt well-cared for, and that us having a great experience meant something to them. Allison shared Hawaiian history & legends as we navigated, and even went around the boat and got wildlife-sighting requests from everyone and based the snorkel locations off of what people wanted to see. The highlight was when we encountered a school of 100+ spinner dolphins that swam and jumped with our boat for about 15 minutes. This was my 6th time doing the Lanai snorkel cruise in Maui, and this was my best experience yet. I highly recommend Maui Adventure Cruises!

The Capt and crew were wonderful. They took us to where they felt we'd see dolphins and we absolutely saw and enjoyed a good size pod for nearly a half hour. It was the highlight of our week in Maui. We also enjoyed snorkeling in the Bay at Lanai and then returned to Maui for some snorkeling with the sea turtles. It was a delightful way to start our day. Thank you for the great memories.

I have never been on a boat in the ocean. Trusted the captain and had a relaxing boat ride. Very disappointed that I saw no Dolphins being that was the very reason I booked this tour. But my friend really enjoyed the scuba experience. So all is fair. Thank you and god bless.

Capt. Scott and Alison were amazing and all about making sure we had the best experience. We saw dolphins, a few straggler whales, and did some great snorkelling. My 6 year old didn’t want to go in the water so they gave him fish identification cards to look at and made sure he was comfy and having fun too. This was easily one of the best days I’ve ever had in my life, and I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone who loves the ocean, marine life, and supporting genuinely good people.

This was the absolute best! We saw it all! Hundred of dolphins, whales, turtles, fish and sharks! The snorkeling was excellent and we had the areas all to our selves. Carey and Stacy made this experience so fun and I could not recommend them more. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and we all laughed from beginning to end. Loved every minute of it. First time in Maui and first time snorkeling. Don’t be fooled by the modest boat, it’s truly the best. Plus it’s all inclusive - drinks, lunch and breakfast.

Magical day on the water! Maui was smiling on us this particular day! Our captain was amazing at creating the best experience from finding whales, pods of dolphins, snorkeling with tropical fish and many sea turtles, putting a mike in the water to listen to the whales, mini coolers with a great variety of snacks/lunch for the day, ice cold drinks, etc! Great attention to detail! As one young girl said, “Best day ever”!!!!! Thank you!

Kary and Laura were the absolute best. It was a small group and we went to prime snorkeling areas seeing beautiful schools of fish, sea turtles, and white tip sharks! We also saw multiple whales along the way!! Highly recommend!

What a perfect day and perfect crew!! Captain Cary and 2 nd mate Jack were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We were lucky to have perfectly calm waters. Smooth ride, clear !! We could see the bottom !!! Also- so lucky and saw dozens of whales!!
I have used this tour group before and this was my 3rd time and ALWYS a good time no matter the weather.

My mom and I went on this excursion at the end of February, and it was the BEST! Captain Kiwi & Jack are a hysterical dynamic duo full of so much local knowledge. They found us the TRIFECTA - dolphins, sea turtles, and WHALES! We saw so many whales that we actually ended up cancelling a whale watching excursion we had booked for the following day. Awesome, awesome experience. Thanks, gents!

It was a windy day and rain runoff from the previous night had clouded the water near shore, so we only got to do a quick “blue water” snorkel. (This was Mother Nature’s fault, the tour guides did the best they could.) However, we had a rare whale encounter where a yearling humpback whale played around and under our boat for ten minutes, and then around neighboring boats that came to see. Our guide, “Handsome Jack,” got some underwater footage of the whale nearby that I have ever seen! We also saw two turtles mating…another rare occurrence. So, no dolphins, not much snorkeling, no trip to Lanai, but the best whale watching trip we could have ever hoped to go on! Our tour guides Kiwi and Jack were humorous and engaging.

We were able to go to the west side of Lanai to snorkel around shark's fin. It was so awesome! Then on our way back we saw a huge pod of spinner dolphins and whales. The crew was informative and fun! The breakfast and lunch provided was good but really the experience is what you want here. We highly recommend this tour!

This was a dream way to end my week in Maui. We saw Humpback whales, a vivacious pod of Spinner dolphins and the most spectacular water I could have dreamt of. Capitan Jack and Captain Scott were incredible guides. I can’t recommend this adventure enough. The smaller boat brought all of the travelers together for an amazing morning!

Disappointed that 2nd snorkel location was in Lahaina harbor. Could have done that from shore and honestly who wants to snorkel around diesel fuel etc. Expected more effort to see dolphins or 2nd snorkeling location off Lanai - which we had experienced in years past. Did enjoy the whales!

Best snorkeling ever, we had a lucky day, end of August, we were able to snorkeling with almost 100 dolphins and 20 turtles, it was the best day of snorkeling ever. If you will be lucky like us, enjoy!!

This was my favorite excursion / day of our 2 week trip to Maui only beat by getting engaged on the island a few days later. We saw literally hundreds of dolphins on our way to & from Lanai and dozens of turtles at our second snorkel spot at Mala Wharf.
The captain and deckhand (Meredith) were both warm, engaging and hyper-focused on making sure everyone was safe & had a great time.
* We did two snorkel excursion days. The other that was recommended to us by a friend was 2x the cost (bigger boat, more food and alcohol) and while enjoyable hands down we'd choose this company, crew and excursion over any other.

Fantastic crew! We all had a great time; kids ages 12, 10 and 8 enjoyed it as much as the adults did! We saw plenty of beautiful fish, turtles and a shark!
