This trip was well worth the cost! It was only the four of us and Charlie our driver. He customized the trip to what we wanted to see. We got to see most of the sights we wanted to see in a more intimate, shorter tour. Charlie was an absolutely awesome driver and narrator.

We had an amazing tour guide named Melissa for the half day tour. She was so knowledgeable and showed us so many beautiful sites. She also took great pictures of our group throughout the tour. The half day was the perfect length tour for us and Melissa was the perfect guide! We learned so much about Maui!

Worth Every Cent and Minute!

Oh my gosh, I can’t say enough about our tour! Michelle was simply amazing. Having a private guide to ourselves made a world of difference! She called the day before to target our interest and then made a plan based on that. She was familiar with the area and took us to desired locations. We were able to stay as short or as long as we wanted and she adjusted other stops based on that. In addition, she took nearly 100 photos of us at the various stops. We saw waterfalls, a canyon, a black sand beach, and turtles, etc., just as promised. Having the private guide was worth every cent. By the end of our afternoon, it felt like we were family, in town for a visit. I highly recommend this tour!

expensive for a private tour that was not customized at all, and we did not feel safe with the driver

With a private guide, and the big price tag, I though this would be a personalized trip. The guide, Eo, did not ask us any questions about where we wanted to stop or what we were interested in. When I commented as we passed some places I wanted to see, he replied that he already had the day planned out. This half-way to Hana trip is a brief sketch of seeing the road, and maybe a few stops of 10-15 minutes each, with one very short hike (.25 mile round trip), which is fine if you want an abbreviated tour, but I think it should be customized and a conversation if it is a private tour. The most important thing I want to say is that we did not fee safe with this driver. He drove quite a bit with only his left knee on the wheel and no hands on the wheel (not on the road to Hana, but on regular roads) and he often took his eyes off the road along with his hands to show us maps and sheets of paper. We told them that he could wait to show us until we were stopped, but he kept doing it. Even though I liked the sights and the driver knew the surroundings well, I just wanted the whole thing to be over and get home safely. I would not recommend this driver/tour guide.

My wife and I drove to Hana ourselves 25 years ago. We had no idea what we missed out on until years later, we went back with our family of five on a tour with our guide Spencer. We didn’t want to spend 8-12 hours in a vehicle like we did the first time on our own, so the half day tour was perfect. Spencer was a great guide. Before our trip, he clearly communicated what to expect, what to bring and what he suggests. He was a very safe driver. He shared extensive knowledge about the culture, food, shops, geology, plants, and animals in the area. Spencer actively listened to what we were interested in and he took us to some amazing sites!

I highly recommend this tour! John was an entertaining, informative and engaging guide. He was punctual, an effective/timely communicator and a safe/smooth driver. This was my fourth trip to Maui and Hana and the first time we elected to tap into a tour service. I learned new tips and we got some great photos of our group. The best tour to Hana

Spencer made this tour an incredible memory for my family! His level of expertise and passion for the history of Maui and its natural bounty are unparalleled. We chose this tour because we were traveling with my 77 year old parents who needed a customized itinerary. The 8 hour day flew by with so many moments of the iconic views, beautiful people and foods along the way to Hana and detailed information that Spencer shared with us. Spencer navigated the traffic easily and he knew with expertise the pinch points along the way. We highly recommend this company as they employ elevated quality guides and they have excellent and comfortable vehicles for the long day. Spend the money for this incredible guide and tip strong; he is a gem. Thank you Spencer for making our day full Maui magic 🌺🤙🏼🌈

Mar was our guide and we couldn’t have been happier or in better hands! She was so knowledgeable about Hawaii and its environment. It was great to be with someone so passionate about Hawaii and for that to be shared with us! We loved watching the surfers, seeing the falls and the black sand beach. We stopped for fresh banana bread and checked out a local jewelry artist on the roadside. The tour and our guide were perfect for our group of four women from Oklahoma.

Great day to Hana!

We had the best day to Hana with our tour guide John. It was so informative and interesting. We were able to determine what we wanted to do along the way and back. You can customize the tour to be whatever you want. If you would like more strenuous hikes to waterfalls you can do that or just stroll along the beaches. We chose an easier paced day. We stopped to watch surfers and sea turtles. We stopped at several beaches of all colors - black, red, green - they were all amazing and John knows everything there is to know about them! We stopped at a hidden waterfall where you can swim, jump from the top or swing on a rope. Lovely cold spring water- cold being the best way to describe it! We went all the way to Hana but you can also do half way if you prefer. Just do whatever you want and go with the flow. Once we got to Hana we stopped at a delicious pizza place at Hana Farms. All ingredients are fresh and from their farm. It was some of the best pizza we had ever eaten! John suggested buying the banana bread here instead of Aunty Sandy’s and I’m glad we did! It was so fresh moist and delicious. We ate two loaves while in Maui. I would definitely go back just to eat the pizza. The ride was amazing! We rode in luxury in a new Suburban so it was such a smooth ride and everyone could adjust their own temperature. Various snacks and drinks were provided with numerous stops for restroom breaks. John was quite a photographer and captured all of our great memories! I can’t believe how much knowledge he has and how he remembers it all! Amazing!
