Had An Amazing Tour

Christine_O, Mar 2026
Our guide NuNu was amazing. Very proud of his Portuguese culture and extremely animated. He went over the tour time, but it seemed like the time went so fast. A pleasure spending the day with him.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thanks, Christine! Nuno is a true enthusiast! His energy and funniness are contagious! We love to have him with us. Lisbon is filled with History everywhere. We hope the tour was a good overview for your stay, and that you learned our History in a relaxed but enriching way! You're welcome back anytime!!!

Tiago , he’s much more than a tour guide!

Margarita_S, Mar 2026
If they’re looking to discover Lisbon in a day, start here! Tiago was exceptionally knowledgeable, patient and thorough. Warm and friendly, he took us around Lisbon with excitement in his heart.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Hi, Margarida! Thanks for the feedback! That's exactly what we want with this tour: to give a great overview of the city in just one day. Of course, some attractions might deserve a second visit on your own, but this tour will provide the essentials for planning the rest of your stay (and show you the layout of the city). Tiago...Tiago is a charming person, an amazing guide and a good friend! We're so glad to have him with us. Hope to see you back!

Worthless tour with Nuno

Vaibhavi_C, Mar 2026
Disappointed as Nuno stopped in so many unwanted location just to show the city from top from 5 points. Gave very less time to see the Lisbon Cathedral properly but kind enough to show the St. Anthony's birth place. Very abrupt explanation. All places are unworthy to stop. Especially an altar with piece of bricks and water popping out from it. So ugly structure. The second last stop was so worthless that it was fill with weed seller, junkies and so much suspicious activity going on. He should understand he cant make tourist stop at such risky place. Very much time wasted. Nuno took us to some meaningless flea market which actually is a garage item sells, second hand used products. Just because Nuno wants to smoke frequently he makes us stopped wherever he wanted like garage sell market and some high location full of addicted people around. Small suggestion to make this trip meaningful please let's tourist enjoy the Castle and Cathidral. Else its just a bumpy ride with meaningless sightseeing. One should book big bus or city sightseeing for more worthy time spend and awareness about Lisbon. Nuno was so incompetent that he doesn't know the famous CM symbol of great modern theater is actually from the Antonio's castle from Sintra near Pena palace. When I asked this CM or MC symbol from the Antonio's house where you can find the swirling/round staircase and his family built this (as I came to know this from my previous days trip with some different Trip company and the guide was very knowledgeable unlike Nuno). But Nuno said he cant have all information about everything of Lisbon eminent places . Which seems he is not at all a well aware tour guide. Very disappointed

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Dear Vaibhavi: We're sad you had a less positive experience in out Lisbon tour. Regarding the stops, this tour is designed to show you some of the best views over Lisbon. It's even called (in our website) Lisbon View. We're sorry that some areas were populated by less positive locals, but we can assure you were never in any kind of danger. The Flea Market is usually a very nice stop for most people. It's much more than a simple garage sale. However, we understand that some persons may like it less. It's a matter of cultural differences and preferences. It is part of our tour on Tuesdays and Saturdays, tough, and we'll continue to stop for a quick visit and look around. During the day, Nuno explained the history of Lisbon from Antiquity to Modern Ages. It's hard to share more. As for the CM or MC symbol in Trindade Theatre you refer, I'm sorry to tell you that it has no relation whatsoever with Regaleira (Antonio's House). It's just a basic, meaningless monogram of the theatre from 1925. Nuno didn't had to know that while driving and hardly taking a good look at it. Maybe it was that other guide that misled you. It is good not to confuse things in History. As for the Cathedral, the stop there was long enough to visit St. Anthony's church too, which isn't part of the tour. Unfortunately, we can't spend much time in every stop, as this is a tour for an overview of the city, showing you all the main attractions, which you can then visit on your own in more details later, having the context already. Anyway, we're deeply sorry you're disappointed. Maybe big buses are the best option for some people. This is an intimate, small group tour that we intend to be a great introduction to the city and its History.

This tour was okay, but...

Sydney_R, Mar 2026
This tour was okay, but not as good as some of the others we did during our trip. There is a lot of driving past places or quickly stopping with no entry included. And there was surprisingly little history shared for a history tour. Definitely felt less organized than some of the other tours we have completed.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Knowledgeable guide accommodating friendly patient very good experience gracious nice people will recommend to all my friends

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Dear James: Thanks so much for your words. We always try to select people for their personality before all other things. You can teach History, but not politeness and friendliness. :) Glad you had a good time with us!

Brilliant tour

Claire_P, Feb 2026
Really good tour which I thoroughly enjoyed. Nuno was a great tour guide and has a vast knowledge of the history of Lisbon. Highly recommended.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thanks, Claire! The purpose of this tour is to provide with a chronological historical context (while visiting the main attractions and the best views of the city). We're happy it worked fine for your group! :) See you back soon!

Highly recommend

Shanna_C, Feb 2026
Our travel guide, Nuno was outstanding!!! So informative and super kind; he was an added asset to the experience.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thanks for taking the time to review our tour. Nuno is a great person and a natural of Lisbon. He's the perfect guide for seeing all the major attractions of Lisbon and navigate the streets, avoid tuk-tuk chaos and show the best spots with no hassle. We're glad we could deliver! Hope to see you soon again!

Very scary driving

cnemiroff, Nov 2025
Driving through very narrow, twisting Lisbon streets was an experience I will soon not forget. Our driver was more than a little reckless. His style was going as fast as possible and then slamming on his brakes when needed. One of the other woman in the tour had to switch seats because she was getting carsick within the first 5 minutes. At one point he was going so fast that when he slammed on the brakes due to someone cutting in front of him, I went flying off my seat and slammed into the back of the driver's seat. If this is the "normal" way Lisbonites drive, I will never do that again. I had to hang on for dear life the entire day while he was driving.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thanks for your feedback! We know that Lisbon's streets can be scary for some. It's an ancient city and some areas go back for centuries, when only donkeys and horses would use them. However, all our guides are locals and know the area, and are very used to drive in the city. Of course, sometimes unpredictable pedestrians or drivers can scare you a little, and that's why we encourage you to always use your seatbelt. We can assure you, your life was never at risk! You were in good hands!

Perfect one day tour of Lisbon

Ernie_W, Nov 2025
Paulo was VERY experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. An absolute miracle driver thru old town! Highly recommend.

Customer Focused

Karen_T, Nov 2025
Our tour guide Oriana was energetic and knowledgeable. She was flexible when parking was a challenge some timee going around the block while we visited sights. She had great recommendations for food and shopping. At many stops she gave us free time to explore on our own.

Full and Interesting Day in Lisbon

Colin_B, Oct 2025
As Lisbon is quite a challenge with its hills, narrow streets, and uneven surfaces, going with a knowledgeable guide is highly recommended. Ours was excellent and was very flexible to our needs and desires. She made the day enjoyable, even with the challenges that Lisbon puts before you!

Great way to spend a day in Lisbon

Yvonne_W, Oct 2025
This is a well done tour with a good combo of walking and driving. So much safer and get to see more than tuk tuk tours!

Great tour. Great guide...

Katy_H, Sep 2025
Great tour. Great guide Nunu. We got a lot of information, and saw a lot of sights. The van was very comfortable

Great Day in Lisbon

wisland3045, Aug 2025
Joao (John) was an excellent guide! So personable, informative, and made the tour so much fun! This was an extensive tour, we saw so many sites in Lisbon and learned so much yet we were still given some time for lunch and shopping. We would highly advise this tour!

Interesting tour and great value for money.

Red007lp, Aug 2025
There are lots of key points/elements that are covered in Lisboa. You can't get everything within the time given, however the selection they make is great to get a first impression of Lisboa and what you would want to explore more detailed. Our tourguide (Nuno (there are apparently four within "Around Lisboa")) is a local that knows the city by heart. Wether it's its history or the streets you're going to be driving in. All in all a great tourguide with lots of information about the sightseeing we did and was always open for a conversation.

Fantastic day

Fiona_H, May 2025
Oceana was delightful- so accomodating to our wishes and so informative. The day flew by because she made it so interesting, fun and happy. We really enjoyed the day.

Wonderful

Patrick_F, Apr 2025
Terrific tour. Our guide knew the back streets of Lisbon like the back of his hand The guide Joao was an absolute gentleman . He was highly intelligent & what came across in his comments was his love for his city & the rich tapestry of Portugal's history .

Great tour

Janet_M, Apr 2025
Amazing full day exploring the sights of Lisbon , Oriana was very knowledgeable and looked after us . We saw so much more of Lisbon than we would have been able to.

It's one of the best tours we've had!

Leo_T, Apr 2025
Nuno was truly amazing! He has an extensive knowledge on the historical and cultural background of the places we visited which made the experience interesting and enjoyable. He was accommodating and also gave us time to explore on our own. The Pasteis de Nata , Nuno shared with us was greatly appreciated. My wife, Vera and I enjoyed it so much.

Historic Tour

Anne_B, Mar 2025
Nuno our guide was excellent went above and beyond to make our day special. Myself and my Husband especially enjoyed the historic tour would highly recommend.

A must for Lisbon travelers

Patty_Z, Mar 2025
Despite the heavy rains the day we took our tour, we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the neighborhoods and history of Lisbon. Our guide, Nuno, was not only well informed and personable, but he was also an amazing driver who navigated our mini van through the narrow, steep streets with ease. One of the highlights was our stop for fresh baked pastels de natas. A great day in a beautiful city!

Great Day Out in Lisbon

John_N, Mar 2025
Very informative and enjoyable. Oriana was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgable and passionate about Lisbon which made it a great day.

We had a great time with...

Marietta_R, Feb 2025
We had a great time with our tour guide Nuno Rebelo since it was just my cousin and I it was more customized and private. He took us to some of the hidden gems in Lisbon like the famous artistic tiles in the city. The different views of the city from different places. The beautiful Belem area.

Everything we expected and more

Isabella_S, Oct 2024
We recently spent a wonderful day with Paulo. There were only three of us on the tour, my husband and me, and a young woman traveling alone. Paolo was very knowledgeable, interesting and easy to understand. We started with São Vicente, the highest point in Lisbon and saw everything from there to the bank of the Tagus River. The thing that impressed me most about Paolo was that he went beyond what is a normal tour to show us the sights. The day we touring was the day of the trials for the 2025 Ironman World Championships. Because the biking portion of the competition started in Cascais and went into Lisbon, along the waterfront, past the Belém Tower and the Geronimos Monastery, all the roads in that area were closed. Our fearless guide drove all over, around in circles, to get us to where we could visit the Belém Tower and the Monument of Discoveries. We even treated us to Pastéis de Nada from the bakery where they originated in 1837, Pastéis de Belém. If all the tour guides are a good, and as dedicated as Paolo, you are in for a treat! I highly recommend this tour!

Memorable historic church buildings

Tuan_D, Sep 2024
Great to see the church of St Anthony in Alfama where he was born. Love it and wish to come back again.

Lisbon in one day

Tanya_B, Sep 2024
Paulo was a wonderful knowledgeable guide. We saw so much in one day but it was well paced and there was enough free time to rest.

Great way to see Lisbon in a day

Great trip

Aleksandrina_V, Feb 2024
It was a great trip. The guide, Nuno was perfect! I was with a kid, and he made adjustments to the program, only for the kid! The pickup option from the hotel was very convenient. Thank you, very much, for the experience
