This snorkeling adventure was absolutely awesome from start to finish. The crew was friendly, organized, and made everyone feel comfortable right away. Once we were in the water, the views were unreal—clear blue water, colorful fish everywhere, and plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed. After snorkeling, relaxing on the boat was just as enjoyable, with great music, a fun atmosphere, and refreshing drinks like mimosas available to add to the celebratory vibe. It felt like the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. I’d 100% recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable and fun day on the water.

Very well organized! I really enjoyed the whole trip, the snorkeling was very nice. We saw lots of tropical fish. Would recommend to anyone who likes swimming in the ocean!

Really well organized, an excellent experience! Fantastic and personable crew. Instructions and guidance were clear. Equipment was clean and the snorkel site had many colourful fish swimming around coral reefs. Captain slowed and stopped the boat on the way back to allow us to see dolphins.

Great boat and crew! Enjoyed the ride and the atmosphere. Snorkeling was not good. This was not a reef. Mostly grassy bottom with very few if any fish.

If you are expecting a traditional breakfast with options, this is not provided. Prepackaged muffins, prepackaged cereal of one flavor, and 2% milk.
Crew was great!
Catamaran and equipment were good!
Alcoholic drinks were good! The mimosas were flowing!!
Keep in mind that snorkeling in a nationally protected preserve is not like snorkeling in Bahamas, VI, or other areas with abundant coral reef life. But, there is plenty of reef life to pleasantly and leisurely enjoy!

Snorkeling was ok. I had low expectations for the breakfast, but what was on board was even lower than that. Didn’t even have fruit available as the advertisement described. Only wrapped muffins and little containers of Cheerios from what I saw (milk was not put out right away with it either).

Great snorkeling experience. The trip out to the reef was fun and they set the stage by getting everyone their equipment. Discussed the safety procedures and then on to the music. Return had beverages and relaxation. The captain and guides were great!

This was a fun day out at sea! My family and three kids (15,14,11) enjoyed it! The crew was helpful, patient, and friendly! We felt safe despite the wind and rain that started when we anchored. We would recommend as a family or couples activity in Key West!

The crew was great on what was a difficult day at sea. The wind was blowing, it briefly rained and overall a miserable day on the water. When we reached the snorkeling area, the water was very rough and was not for your casual swimmer. The whole crew did a great job keeping everyone safe and trying to create an environment were they could help anyone struggling.
The crew and the company can't control the weather, but the boat only allowed for seating for around 10% of the people on board. It was incredibly hard to wrangle kids, while standing, in a rough sea. People were sitting on the stairs, all over the ground floor and it was incredibly hard to move around and navigate. I am sure in warmer weather on less rocky seas, people sit all over the upper decks, but it was really rough to do so on this particular day.
Overall, great crew, bad weather day, less than ideal boat for the weather, but had the weather been better I feel like this experience would have been a great day at sea.

A big no for non-swimmer. We called to confirm if non-swimmers can benefit from it and answer was yes. Rest of the experience was nice but snorkeling part was let down, wish we would have gone for some proper guided snorkeling tour.

We arrived in Key West the day prior to this experience. When we arrived, the weather was definitely more on the cold side. I called the company as soon as we arrived, hoping they would make an exception and allow us to cancel/reschedule because I have an elderly aunt who would not be able to go out on the boat in this cold weather and snorkel. They were not willing to work with me at all. They said I was within the 24 hour timeframe and that was their policy. It was very cold on the boat and the snorkelers said the water was extremely cold and choppy. We did not go into the water. I did give three stars because the crew was nice and the captain was nice and gave proper instructions. Although I understand it is policy, in good faith if the weather makes it that the trip is not going to be enjoyable for certain customers instead of just taking peoples’ money, many companies are more reasonable and will allow a reschedule. Especially since there were many customers still going out on the boat. I have traveled all over the world and done many excursions and I would not recommend or use this company again.

Currently trapped on a cruise ship because a person went overboard.
Coastguard attempted search rescue for the day. Alerted by the captain that we won’t be making the stop in Key West. Contacted the company 18 hrs or so in advance and explained the situation. Denied a refund, offered a different day- explained that we live in Canada- denied a refund.
I don’t think they incurred an expense yet they are determined to keep the $300.
Don’t book with this company in advance, frankly don’t book at all.

The breakfast was subpar and extremely disappointing. No towels were provided. The event should have been cancelled because the weather was very cold (60 degrees) and windy. There were no other tour boats going out on this day. Would not recommend this excursion at all. Also, the check in girls in the office were very rude to guests and clearly did not want to be there. So very very disrespectful and sad.

We had a great time snorkeling. We had the opportunity to go to 2 different reefs to explore which doesn't happen alot. The weather was on our side. I would definitely recommend this excursion.

It was a great way to spend the morning there you get a beautiful view of the water and wall. It was cold. Doing it in the morning. You got a good start to the day as well as a very nice crew. That really treats you well, and is very kind and personable. I also really enjoyed the snacks and the drink after the snorkeling, and the boat ride out, was really nice with the music, and the scenery of Key West and the clear waters, and even seeing some fun wildlife fish and the coral was very pretty. It was deep in some areas and then shallow, so a lot of layers to be able to explore.

Snorkeling with Sunset Water Sports was absolutely amazing. The water was crystal clear, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and the whole experience felt like the perfect little escape. The crew was friendly, helpful, and truly made the trip feel safe and enjoyable from start to finish.

We weren't able to go on tour due to high winds and high surf. Sunset was very accommodating. We have booked other tours with this company and would do so again.
