Itinerary
Meet up with your tour in the evening at the southeast corner of N. Michigan Avenue and E. Pearson Street. Climb aboard and find a seat as your local guide begins a live narration that takes you deep into the annals of Chicago’s criminal past.
Follow in the footsteps of gangsters like Dean O’Banion, John Dillinger, Al Capone, and Frank Nitti, learning about their connection to Chicago and the scenes of some of their most infamous criminal acts. Imagine the blood-soaked crime scene of the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre as you visit the former site of this famous gangster shootout, and then learn about “The Enforcer’s Safe” and tunnels. At each stop you’ll have time to get off the bus and take a look around.
Before finishing the trip you’ll also get to visit the Biograph Theater and see Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse. You’ll finish back at your original starting point.

- No restroom breaks. Please go before checking in at the bus.
- No eating or drinking on the bus.
- There is no onsite office.
- Bus has five (5) steps and some stops off of the bus include stairs. Bus is NOT equipped with an electronic lift. There is limited storage available for a folding wheelchair or stroller.
- Audio and video recording and services are not permitted without the express written consent of Chicago Crime Tours and Experiences.
- Kindly refrain from talking or translating on the bus during the tour.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 39 travelers

Tour itself was very interesting and the guide was great. But the bus itself needs work. AC barely working so it was super hot. The AC also steadily dripped water during the tour. This company needs to do better with maintenance.

There are just 2 stops. They don’t provide any context and assume you should know all the history, so if you are not fan and/or don’t know all the history don’t take this tour because you’ll get bored

Had an amazing time on this tour!!!! Hearing the stories and stoping at some of the same locations these gangsters and outlaws actually visited , stood, worked and even lost their lives at was quite the experience! The bus driver and tour guide were very professional . Our transportation bus was very nice, clean and comfortable. So glad I took this tour!! Thank you !!!

I loved it.The story teller was knowledgeable and entertaining. We really needed more time at Harry Carey's. There wasn't enough time to see the tunnels and use the restrooms.

Fun tour. Be ready to get on and off bus (steep stairs!) to visit some of the historic gangster sites. Great surprise at the end! John, the guide and Claudio, our chauffeur were both fantastic!

Capon & Dillenger were opportunists. Not very smart, but tough and willing to live on the edge. The smart ones became politicians. But even they end up in jail. What a history this city has.

I grew up watching all the mob, gangster movies. This tour did not disappoint. John had a wealth of information. It was fun to start the tour learning that Streeter was from Flint, as I grew up right outside of Flint. I highly recommend.

This is a DO NOT MISS experience! I took my teenage daughter (16) after a very long day of sightseeing and we both loved it! The history and details were fascinating. I would recommend this as a must for anyone interested in crime and the spicy side of Chicago history.

It was an interesting tour, but I wouldn’t recommend the night tour, as you really can’t see the buildings at night. Also, the tour is only 2 hours long —not 2 1/2 hours. Otherwise, our guide was knowledgeable and made the tour interesting.

Leah Nicole was amazing , warm, friendly , funny, extremely informative. Was in town for a conference and was looking for a fun activity with a colleague. We were NOT disappointed AT ALL.
