Jonathan’s tour was excellent! He was patient while we all tried to get our act together by 10:00 a.m.! The tour was perfect for our first day in Charleston. Jonathan took us to all of the important places which gave us an excellent base for the rest of our trip! Now I will always know the difference between a graveyard and a cemetery!

Jonathan was knowledgeable, funny and passionate! It is obvious that he knows a lot about Charlston but also it is very apparent that he cares about the history. He made me feel emotions and a connection to a city I knew nothing about before this trip. His tour was engaging and we had a wonderful time. Super easy to schedule and meet with the group as well. I highly recommend taking a tour with his company, Jwalk Tours! Thank you Jonathan!

My husband and I enjoy history and architecture and have participated in group tours in the past in different cities. When I booked this tour with Jwalk tours on Trip Advisor's Viator we were expecting it would also be a group setting. But to our surprise it was just my husband and I on this tour. As the tour began we can tell there was something special about our tour guide Jonathan. He was very polite and friendy when greeted us. Looked almost as excited as we were to be guiding us. Jonathan is very passionate about the history of Charleston and took us on journey and transported us back in time. He was very knowledgeable and shared with us so much information but in a very engaging way. We laughed and almost cried with some of the stories he shared with us. I have gained a deeper appreciation for the history, the people of Charleston past and events that had shaped what our country is today. I highly recommend this experience. Either in private or group setting. I found it very informative and interesting. I also truly appreciate the owner himself Jonathan Green of J Walk Tours to take us on this private tour on Christmas morning. We couldn't be with family because we were avoiding the large group gathering because of Covid-19 and just happened to find this idea on Trip Advisor. I noticed masks and social distancing was required and the whole tour was outdoors so I considered this tour to be a safer way to spend our Christmas. We feel so blessed for this experience and can't wait to go back to participate in other J Walk tours.

This tour was great. I would go on it again. The tour guide was fun, interesting and super knowledgeable. Charleston is full of history and lots of good stories. I highly recommend taking this tour with group. It was not a cookie cutter tour - more off the beaten track with the way the history was presented to us. 💚 it!
