Such a unique experience. Jeremy was fantastic! The desserts were local and amazing! To die for! Learned so much about the local history and hauntings. Will be back for more.

Tori, we’re thrilled you enjoyed Dessert with Death! Jeremy loves sharing Charleston’s spooky stories, and we’re so glad the local desserts were a hit too. It’s wonderful to hear you soaked up the history, the haunts, and of course, the sweets. Can’t wait to have you back for another round of chills and treats!

Nice break from walking tours, excellent review of Charleston history in a relaxed atmosphere with tasty desserts.

Thank you for the sweet review! We're so glad you enjoyed the Dessert with Death experience—it's the perfect way to dive into Charleston’s darker history while indulging in some delicious treats. We hope to see you again for another unique and flavorful experience!

Guide/presenter seemed tipsy. History was ok, but not worth the purchase price. Desserts were good but I'd rather have a list of the places and let me try them on my own.
Response from Host, May 2025
Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience didn’t fully meet your expectations. Our guides work hard to balance entertaining storytelling with accurate local history and a fun atmosphere. We appreciate your perspective about exploring the dessert spots independently—some guests love the guided experience, while others prefer to discover on their own. We hope you might consider joining us again in the future to experience the full depth of what Charleston Culinary Tours offers.

ok, i think our host should have worn professional apparel even shorts with a nice polo shirt would have been more appropriate. With him slurping his drink , it was distracting.
Charleston is full of wonderful exciting ghost stories. The story about the european ghost was boring. it would have been better with spooky stories.
also, repeating “ take the tour “ was unnecessary. talking about the pirates captured and jailed would have added to the jail story.
i recommend the host take the ghost walking tour to brush up on current ghosts

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We truly appreciate your perspective as it helps us improve the experience. We’re sorry the host’s presentation and storytelling didn’t fully meet your expectations. We strive to balance professionalism with a relaxed atmosphere, but your note about attire and distractions is valuable. We also appreciate your thoughtful suggestions on story content and will share them with our team to enhance future events. We hope you’ll consider joining us again so we can provide a spookier and more polished experience that better captures Charleston’s rich ghost lore.

We enjoyed the space, the story content and the presentation. The slides helped visualize along with the history. The host really knew the history and has a passion for it. The deserts could have been a little more elevated or at least one of them for the cost. The small cookies and Benne wafers were enjoyable to start. The Earle grey tea donut needed better presentation with just some powdered sugar. There was a small ice cream drink which was the best out of all of them. The final one was forgettable. There should have been one pie or cake slice for the money spent. Nice china and crystal would have elevated it nicely (they used plastic plates and cups). They did offer some complimentary left over alcoholic drinks which was quite nice of them. Overall we enjoyed it but felt the price didn’t match the food provided

Thank you for the feedback, David! We love that you enjoyed your time with Jeremy. He is quite a skilled storyteller and provides a historic depth to the paranormal. We will certainly keep your comments in mind about the menu since we rotate our dessert selections nightly. As to the plating, we have a cabinet full of lovely china meant for this experience so we will definitely look into the use of plastic during your experience. Thanks again for joining and sharing your experience with us!
