Once on Morris Island, you’ll have the opportunity to walk the beach in search of shells, shark teeth, and other fossils. From Morris Island you will also enjoy breathtaking up-close views of the historic Morris Island lighthouse. During your journey to and from the island, you will enjoy numerous sightings of Bottlenose Dolphins and other saltwater wildlife.

Before you set off on your hunt, I'll share my knowledge of the area and some pro tips on getting the most out of your excursion. You're sure to enjoy your experience finding one-of-a-kind treasures on this the beautiful barrier island. Since this experience requires a good bit of walking, it is recommended to pack as light as you can while still bringing everything you will need for the trip. I suggest a backpack big enough to hold water, snacks, sunscreen and bug spray. *There is a 2-person minimum required for this trip.

While we cruise through the waters along Folly Beach, you will have the opportunity to see tons of wildlife, like dolphins, sea turtles, and birds, and once we reach Morris Island, you will be in one of the best places in the world to find shark teeth. Or if you are a history buff, the Morris Island Lighthouse sits in the surf on the south end of the beach.

As we cruise through the creeks and inlets, you will have the opportunity to see these beautiful animals play, sleep and hunt. If the dolphins are feeding, you may be able to observe a hunting strategy called “strand feeding,” only seen in this part of the world.
