Ask for Greg! He is a very knowledgeable and personable host. There were 4 people in our tour so we received lots of individual attention.
Carolyn_F, Aug 2025
Nathan told great stories and told about the history while walking to different sites to show us where it happen

This was my first time doing a ghost tour of any type, and it’s safe to say I’m looking forward to another. Greg, who was an amazing tour guide, knows so much about the history of Charleston! His friendliness, humor, and knowledge added so much to the tour. The locations and stories through out the tour are truly eerie and will leave you pondering the dark history of Charleston. Lastly, the EMF equipment handed out during the tour was so unique and exciting. We found ourselves getting high readings at the sites along the tour, and when speaking of the stories/names of spirits. Highly recommend this tour for all who are interested in history, the paranormal, or an unforgettable adventure.

Apparently Charleston has a very dark history. Learning about the city’s ghosts was quite interesting. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and told the stories with great style!

We had a great evening on the ghost tour! Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly, and even took us to an extra cool spot after the tour was over.

Hannah was very knowledgeable and personable throughout the tour. She provided an enjoyable atmosphere. Would recommend!

Hanna was a great guide. Great stories and very knowledgeable on local history. Very friendly. Cannot say enough good stuff about her.

The tour focused on stories of the souls lingering around. Our guide was great storyteller and made it engaging.

Greg immediately seemed like someone you’ve know for a long time who was sharing stories with friends. The entire experience was informational, entertaining and overall great.
Amanda_F, Nov 2024
The tour was disappointing. It was a history lesson in the dark with a mediocre tour guide. No real ghost stories.
Response from Host, Nov 2024
Amanda, we're sorry you didn't have a good time on the tour. However, to be fair, you did spend a good part of the tour distracted and on your phone. As for "No the real Ghost Stories", your assessment is simply inaccurate. We pride ourselves on having more ghost stories than any other tour in Charleston, and we do. Each of our 10 stories is a well-researched and accurate presentation of actual hauntings in Charleston. Those hauntings are based on historical events, for the ghost story to make sense we have to give you some history of the event. While we take every review seriously, and there is always room for us to improve, we would refer you to many other reviews that clearly show Greg is simply not a mediocre guide. We truly hope you have a great time while you are in Charleston.

Some of the ghost stories were interesting but there was very little historical context in the tour. If you love history and are looking for a combination of ghost stories and accurate accounts of bygone days, this not the tour for you. In a positive note, the tour guide, Hannah, was very nice.
Response from Host, Nov 2024
Hi Amy - I'm sorry you were disappointed in the amount of history you received on a ghost tour. Each story is researched to ensure it has a provable foundation in historical fact. The historical context of stories such as Fort Sumter, the Old Liquor Store, and Annabelle Lee make no sense without the historical foundation of their context. I assure you each story was historically accurate. It is of course, not a history tour, and while we use an 80/20 percent Ghost to History ratio. We understand some guests prefer more history, and some prefer more ghosts. That is why they are two different tours. In addition to Hannah being very nice, and an avid paranormal enthusiast, she is also a former history teacher, and I'm sure she would have loved talking history with you :)

This tour was the best tour I’ve been on in Charleston. The guide was very knowledgeable and a great story teller.
Melanie_D, Oct 2024
Hannah was a wonderful guide, we had a great time! I’d go on a weeknight, the busy Friday night streets can take away from the experience a little bit.
Tara_M, Oct 2024
We did a ghost tour for my daughter’s bachelorette party. Hannah was an amazing story teller. We enjoyed it and had a lot of fun!

I seek out a ghost tour in every city I travel to so I speak from experience. This tour was fantastic! Perfect intersection of history and mystery! Greg did an amazing job!

Great tour guide. Real and historical stories. Enjoyed all of the surprises. Real American history --- was not really scary but rather believable.
Andrea_G, Sep 2024
Our guide was incredibly helpful (we speak different language) he took the time to make sure we understood. We enjoy and learn a lot about the history behind each place. Couldn’t ask for a better guide. Thank you!

Gregg was a great tour guide and we learned a lot. Some of the ghostly stories were really fascinating. The history was also an eye-opener. Definitely a value.
Nancy_L, Aug 2024
Greg met us just at the corner of Vendue Range and Concord street. We started the tour with a number of others, had the opportunity to hear stories about different individuals, interesting locations, Ft Sumter and we had discussions about what the people and places had happen to them. We had the opportunity to tell experiences of our own see if we believed what we heard, and whether or not our stories might coincide with the kinds of experiences that the subjects of Charleston’s stories and situations happened. Greg was an excellent guide he listened to our stories, questions and took suggestions from us about things we had heard about, if we had had experiences anything like what he told us about. I would recommend this tour with Greg to anyone who wants to know the more erie and maybe sordid side of Charleston’s history. Greg’s a top notch guy. Hail to Greg!!

I appreciated hearing the stories about the American prisoners (patriots) who were being held in the dungeon and what happened to them when the guard was given the “night off.” The entire experience was well worth the time in order to learn more about Charleston’s history.
Rachel_T, Jul 2024
Greg was an awesome and entertaining tour guide with great stories of some of the darker history/events of Charleston. You can tell he really enjoys sharing the stories. Spray a little mosquito repellent before you go and enjoy!
Martin_F, Jul 2024
Greg was our tour guide and he was exceptional. He knew the history of Charleston very well and incorporated the ghost stories into the entire tour. All of his information was very accurate.
Tara_S, Jul 2024

A great mix of Charleston history and ghost stories. I liked our smaller sized group of 10. Greg was our guide and you could tell he loved the history of the city.

Even though I live in Charleston I learned new information about places downtown. Greg was a great tour guide!!
