What an excellent tour!!! Bobby is so knowledgeable and passionate about the North End and thanks to his stories of growing up there we really felt as though we were part of the neighborhood. Everyone seems to know him and he knows them. Each of the food/drink stops were delicious and we left feeling as though we really knew the neighborhood. The tour is a great value and our party of 6 middle to old aged people all loved it!! Don’t hesitate to book this tour, we’d do it again if (when) we come back.

You will need to have an appetite, my wife and myself just came back from Italy and we both agree that many of the items were the best we have ever had. Bob is full of local information and you can see the love he has for his local community

The food was amazing. Bobby was very personable and knowledgeable about the area. I loved learning the history of the area and tasting the amazing food.

Great tour of the area restaurants and bakeries that I don’t usually visit. Bobby was born, raised and still lives in the Neighborhood and felt like you were visiting friends establishments.

Extremely large tour of 28 people through the crowded streets of North End. One person taking this amount of people is too much. Food itself was mediocre and not much history or highlights of the location but plenty about the tour operators own personal history. We’ve done many food tours around the world and this was just okay.

Hello Helen
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that the tour did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding the group size, we did have 28 guests on the tour that day. I understand that some guests prefer a smaller, more intimate experience, and I appreciate you sharing that perspective. I do my best to make sure everyone can hear, participate, ask questions, and enjoy the food and history along the way.
My food tour is designed to be more than simply visiting restaurants. As a lifelong North End resident and Italian American, I share personal stories and experiences from growing up in the neighborhood and connect those stories to the Italian culture, traditions, and history that helped shape the North End. This personal perspective is an important part of what makes my tour different, and I’m sorry that aspect of the experience wasn’t something you particularly enjoyed.
That said, I truly appreciate your feedback. I’m always looking for ways to improve the experience for every guest. It was nice to hear that other members of your group found the tour phenomenal and even described it as the highlight of their trip to Boston, but I understand that every guest has different expectations and preferences.
Thank you again for joining me, and I wish you all the best.

The tour guide (Bobby) had lots of local knowledge and history about Boston north
end. The food was excellent and plentiful including pizza, pasta, Italian subs, arancini, cannoli and more. The tour took about 2 and a half hours. Make sure you arrive hungry.

Come hungry! If you enjoy amazing Italian food and have an interest (big or small) in the history of Boston’s North End from a very personal perspective, this tour is for you. Bobby is 5-star all the way. He clearly loves his heritage and his home town. We had a big group but you’d never know it as he handled it seamlessly. Everyone could hear, see, felt safe crossing streets and he even made sure guests were shaded while outside as it was a very hot day. Not to mention the great stories, pictures, history and upbeat & fun personality shared with us on this tour. We very highly recommend. Outstanding!!

There really is a difference between someone who knows an area’s history and someone who has lived it. Bobby can relate the history of the Neighborhood from experience. The tour was very enjoyable despite the weather. Plenty to eat and taste and accommodation for those who don’t eat meat. I would highly recommend this tour.

If you want a food tour from a local, this is the one to take. Bobby grew up in the North End and was full of stories of how the area has changed over the years. Two recommendations...don't eat before the tour because you will leave FULL and wear comfortable shoes as we only sat down at 1 of the 7 locations.

Bobby is a passionate lifelong native of Boston’s North End, a proud Italian. In addition to telling us about the area’s history, Bobby told us about his immigrant Grandparents, and growing up with his parents and siblings in the 60’s/70’s. We were well fed and entertained. Do not hesitate to book this in your next trip to Boston.

If you’re looking for the best food tour in Boston, don’t miss Bobby Agrippino’s North End Food Tour! Bobby is incredibly knowledgeable, and you can truly feel his passion and love for the city. He shares personal stories and local history in a way that makes the experience feel like you’re exploring Boston with a friend. I’ve done other food tours, and this one is above the rest. The food is amazing, the portions are generous—you definitely won’t leave hungry! I’d recommend this tour to both lifelong Bostonians and anyone visiting the city. It’s an experience you won’t regret!

This was a phenomenal tour. I’ve never done a food tour in the US and wasn’t sure what to expect, and Bobby hit it out of the park. His perspective and love for the North End made the experience so special. It was a personal history lesson, seeing the neighborhood through his eyes growing up there. People passing him saying hello as we went. It was like being guided by an old friend. And I haven’t even gotten to the food. Every stop was delicious. And big portions. pizza, pasta, tastings of olive oil, vinegar, prosciutto, and cheese, then an Italian cold cut sandwich, wine, limoncello, arancini (at a restaurant adorned with pictures of his family), a stop at a local shop where we received bags of the signature blend, ending with a VIP line cut at Mike’s for a cannoli and free cookies handed out personally by Mike’s wife. Literally INSANE! Bobby ended it with recommendations on where to eat. Yeah, now “we know a guy.” Bobby, huge thank you! What an afternoon!

We had an excellent time on this food tour. Loved hearing the unique perspective of a lifelong local to the community, which made us trust his recommendations even more. All of the food was delicious, and skipping the line at the end for a sweet treat was a great way to end the tour. If you're worried it's not going to be enough food, don't. We were so full by the end! Highly recommend!

What can I say about Bobby that has’t already been said about him already? He is a warm, informative, and lovely tour guide. He clearly knows his stuff, has a passion for his city and neighborhood, and is doing this for the love of the game and the community. He understands what makes food delicious, what telling the background adds to the destinations he takes us to, and the importance of the personal ties and history of neighborhood that he and the businesses he takes us to in North End share.
I took my parents and they were delighted — we came away eating some of the best food we’d had on our trip, so stuffed we couldn’t even bear to think of eating dinner, much less even our dessert until later. Anyone can take you to eat food, even delicious, food, but not everyone can make you feel memories you hadn’t lived, or understand just what it means for a business to have weathered the last 50-100years in the same way that Bobby has.
My favorite part was meeting all the proprietors of the shops — They were all so warm and welcoming, and clearly proud of everything they stock or produce, and in so many ways, treating us all as if we had been part of the neighborhood they’d been servicing their whole lives, making suggestions based on what we like, offering for us to try things we might be interested in. It reminded me so much of what it feels like to be a regular at a restaurant in a city you’ve lived in — being on a first-name basis and catching up with your friends who happen to be selling you the best of whatever they have that day.
I can’t say all our trip experiences were with nearly as many warm people in Boston, but what I can say is that Bobby and the businesses on his tour clearly show some of the best that Boston has to offer in hometown pride.

I have been on many walking food tours. This one, however, is the best one ever! Bobby grew up in the area and is the best guide. So much history shared and the food - oh, my goodness! Absolutely delicious! Likewise, each dish/drink has a story with it. Highly recommend this tour!

Great tour with a super fun guide! We were surprised initially by the large group, but Tony had no problem guiding us all. The food was really good, and you could feel how sentimental Tony was about the neighborhood he grew up in and still lived in. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Boston! My tour with Bobby yesterday was pure joy from start to finish. It felt less like a tour and more like being shown around by a family member who just happens to know every baker, every backstreet, and every story worth telling in the North End.
Bobby’s warmth was infectious — full of colourful stories, fascinating history, and genuine love for the neighbourhood, and he brought us to the most brilliant little spots we never would have found on our own. Every stop felt like a treat, and by the end we were walking away with bellies full of incredible food and hearts full of love for this beautiful, historic corner of Boston.
If you’re visiting the North End, do not miss this tour — and ask for Bobby! Can’t recommend it highly enough. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
