Don’t miss this experience! We’ve traveled the world and this is one of the most exciting things we’ve done. We were grounded 3x before finally making it to the glacier. The staff worked so hard to get us up before our cruise departed Alyeska Resort. Everyone was so friendly. Our guide Riley was excellent. We got to hold puppies, and play with the dogs. They gave us all the cold weather gear we needed.

Absolutely hands down one of the best experiences we have had during our trip to Alaska! Every single person we encountered on this trip was friendly and helpful. The helicopter trip was fun (our first) and riding with Calvin on his sled and listening to the knowledge he’s gained working with the dogs and actually running the Iditarod last March was unforgettable! 100% recommend this tour!! Well worth the money! Thank you for the memories!

Truly amazing..from the hotel pick up, the staff before and after the ride, the mushers, pilots, and the view! Definitely would do this again. Next time we will do the multiple glacier landings.

We chose this trip based on feedback available on Viator. I did not have safe trip. The base camp team were excellent, very supportive and took utmost care.
The helicopter ride was good.
At the glacier, the musher Whitney and Lucas were very warm & welcoming and gave us detailed instructions.
However, I would suggest improvement in the dog sledding -
1. I along with my family had booked for August 31. I fell twice due to an extremely bumpy ride, uncontrolled speed during crossing of two crevices on the glacier.
I am writing this especially because I was badly injured and have been detected with a broken 6th rib.
2. Safety of the dog sled needs to improve with provisions for safety belts, emergency brakes and helmets.
3. Speed control and communication between mushers and last rider needs to improve. Overall physical safety of riders must improve to ensure a better overall experience during and after the sledding trip.

Amazing, once in a lifetime experience. We had a wet and rainy day, and we still loved it. Riding in the helicopter was exciting and we all loved the chance to pet the puppies!

Was one of our favorite activities. The dogs and their handlers are very personable. Also amazing to meet a puppy litter

Such an amazing and memorable experience! Everybody was so nice, the dogs were so amazing and well loved. The helicopter ride was short, but beautiful, and the mushing on the glacier was phenomenal! So much fun!

The crew at Alpine Air were helpful, attentive and provided great customer service. The helicopter ride, though short, was beautiful and fun. We loved hanging out with the dogs. I did not expect the actually dogsledding to be so peaceful. We loved hearing stories from the mushers and learning about the Iditarod. This is a must do tour!
Yvonne_S, Jul 2022
We traveled with a 10 month old and a 78 year old. Guides went out of their way to ensure everyone was safe and had a great time!
Tiffany_S, Jul 2021
We had to try a few times due to weather but totally quiet it! 3 min of mushing your own sled! All the dogs are great!
RANDY_S, Jul 2021
Our BEST EXPERIENCE in years, maybe the BEST EVER. Outstanding staff! Beautiful views! Exciting helicopter ride!
Peter_D, Jun 2021
Loved riding the sleds with the dogs and helping harness the dogs. Great experience for the whole family.
Only negative was Ryan. He was negative about everything including things about sledding, and even interrupted our conversation to tell us our future plans were bad as well.
Corey_B, Jun 2021
It was amazing to experience multiple things all in one tour. We were able to ride in a helicopter, learn about the dogs, how to opporate a dog sled, see the cutest dogs and puppies, and have amazing people there helping and educating us on everything. All while admiring beautiful scenery from the glaciers to rivers and more. Truly an amazing experience and highly recommend to others. Thank you!

We loved it. Dogs laying around when we got there but came to life when guide picked up harness. "Pick me, pick me!" Howling to be able to pull sleds. Some funny. And the puppies so cute. Fat butterball
