Overview
If you don't have the time or the expertise required to go on a glacier expedition on foot, a helicopter tour is a great way to see the glaciers surrounding Anchorage. This tour takes you over spectacular scenery and makes three landings where you can get out and explore with your guide. You also have the possibility of seeing mountain goats, Dall sheep, moose, and, in the summer months, bears and wolves. Note: in winter, the helicopter lands next to the glacier.

- WINTER TOURS - October - April -we are unable to land on top of the glacier due to snow cover. We will land next to the glaciers near the massive ice formations
- Guests 300lbs or over require our Astar Helicopter to fly. This is not available for every time/day.Please call direct to assure we have that helicopter available to accommodate prior to booking.
- Comfort surcharge applied for anyone over 250lbs. This allows us to block out an additional seat for safety and comfort
- NOT PERMITTED: DRONES-SMOKING ITEMS (VAPES/LIGHTERS/E-CIG)-FIREARMS-BAGS/BACKPACKS/LOOSE STRAPS - please leave all bags in the vehicle or we do have lockers to store them
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers

This is indeed a life time experience and a core memory. Everything was perfect Alek and Trudy and the staff! As a solo traveller you can always feel a bit on your own but the whole team made me feel welcome from the begiytill the end! I loved every bit of it! The most beautiful landscapes from Ice to Water to Earth to Mountains 🩵 Thank you for making my dream come true! 🙏💐 I will definitely come back one day again ❤️
Expensive but worth every penny. Best of many great experiences in AK. We had a beautiful day and Wyatt was a fantastic pilot. Unbelievable scenery. Saw bears and goats and several beautiful glaciers.
Incredible, the helicopter ride was amazing. Landing on random rock tops and a glacier was just absolutely beautiful.
The views were amazing. So fun, just know that if you are traveling with a group of 4 you might not be able to go together and they do t tell you that until you get there.
Worth every penny. For those who struggle with the cost, just make sure you find a way to make it happen. It will forever be one of the most foremost experiences of my life.

It was an incredible experience. Landings were very smooth. I really enjoyed it!! This coming from someone that doesn’t like roller coasters, drops or anything like that.

Words can’t describe how incredible this experience was! Aaron was a great pilot (and photographer) and took us to 3 amazing spots that we could not have gotten to on our own. We got to walk around in each location and decide how long we wanted to spend at each. We chose to spend most of our time on the glacier, which was a blast to walk around with spikes on our shoes. Bring a water bottle to drink some glacier water! I definitely think the value was worth the price. We were a couple in the helicopter alone with the pilot and each spot had no one there. Do it!!!

This was a life time experience. The staff and pilot were so knowledgeable. Facility was welcoming and restrooms were very nice. Good viewing area to watch choppers land an take off. Would do it again and highly recommend.
We flew up to and on top of the Glacier, got out, and walked around on the glavier. Aron was our pilot. He was an excellent pilot and a wealth of knowledge about the Knik glacier and glaciers in general as well as the entire surrounding area. We saw sheep on the flight as well

Brian was a wonderful guide and an exceptional helicopter pilot who made safety his top priority while ensuring we had an unforgettable ride. He was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating information about the glaciers and Lake George, which made the experience even more meaningful. We felt completely at ease the entire time, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. A huge thank you to Brian for being such a skilled pilot and an amazing guide. This experience is highly recommended and something we will never forget.
This helicopter glacier tour was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Seeing the vast ice fields, deep crevasses, and bright blue ice from above was breathtaking and far more impressive than anything you can witness from the ground. The flight was smooth and felt very safe, and our pilot shared interesting facts about the area throughout the journey. It was the perfect mix of adventure, stunning scenery, and unique perspective. I highly recommend this experience to everyone!

First time in a helicopter (scratch one off of the Bucket List); Pilot was GREAT - very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous; Flights were smooth despite some wind and landings were good also; Safety was observed at all times; 3 outings were diverse so we got to see different aspects of the glacier; Saw 7 mountain goats, one small black bear and 3 moose. GREAT FUN! Well worth the price.

The absolute BEST part of our vacation was this helicopter tour! We chose the one with 3 different landings, all of which were great, but to be able to get out and walk on a glacier was just awesome. If you are able to, this is the one to do!!!

At the experience of being in the helicopter was very exhilarating. The highway was very informative and friendly easy to talk to and the scenery was absolutely drop dead gorgeous.
Terrible. Drove all the way from Anchorage to have them tell us the flight was cancelled. How about a phone call? Bunch of idiots running this place. We didn’t receive any heads up

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m truly sorry to hear how your day was impacted. I completely understand how frustrating it must have been to make the drive out from Anchorage only to find out your tour was canceled.
Unfortunately, all of our tours are weather dependent, and conditions in the area can change rapidly — sometimes with very little notice. While we do our best to reach out to guests in advance whenever possible, there are times when weather shifts suddenly and decisions must be made last minute, similar to how major airlines occasionally need to cancel flights unexpectedly for safety.

Absolutely worth it! Turner, our pilot, made us feel safe and our 3 landings were unbelievable. We especially loved the cascade glacier. He found us a mountain goat, bear and a moose, too.
It was a fantastic trip! Our pilot, Hayden, was a great combination of professionalism and fun. We’d highly recommend it!
