Insane how few people go to Ostia Antica, where there are no queues and it's a vast area to explore. Houses, villas, busnisses, temples, public buildings, restaurants, bathouses, lavatries...you name it, there's a ruin of it there. Rob was amazing as a guide and shared a lot of knowledge with us. Driving in and around Rome is not for the faint of heart but our driver was fantastic! This is a long trip and we have been in numerous vans that accommodate 6 people and lots of luggage and this was the most luxurious van of the trip! He was waiting for us at the limo/driver section with our name on a sign. Started communicating as soon as we landed and put me completely at ease that once we finished in baggage claim that we would have transportation and a driver waiting for us. I would highly recommend this driver (Emanuel) to anyone. He was unable to get to our hotel due to the Italian liberation day. The street was closed. Instead he found a close point and guided us to him so we could make it to the cruise port. Turns out, he does custom tours for visitor as well, including an "Everybody Loves Raymond" tour. Part of the show was filmed in the city were he lives, outside of Rome.
