What are people saying about Lisbon

Wonderful tour and guide
Our guide, Lilly, was amazing. She provided a wealth of knowledge on the 3 cities we visited, especially in regard to Fatima. The 4 of us on the tour had attended Catholic schools, yet Lilly brought to our attention facts of the miracle of Fatima we had never heard of. She truly made it a very memorable day.

Fabulous experience!
Alberto customized our tour for us, every step of the way. He arranged an extraordinary lunch, which was a highlight of our trip, and took us to several hidden gems during the day. We visited two palaces, the beach, Cascais, and the westernmost spot in Europe. The way he guided us through Pena Palace saved us so much time and effort compared to visiting it ourselves. He was fun and extremely knowledgeable, giving us historical and architectural information at every turn. Thank you, Alberto, for spending the day with us! I highly recommend the private tour to Sintra!

How to see so much of Sintra in 1 day!
If you’re traveling to Lisbon, visiting Sintra is a must-see! I usually plan my daily excursions myself, using trains, buses & walking etc. But I am so glad we decided to see Sintra using Viator. There is a lot to see in Sintra, and logistically you would have a difficult time trying to visit all the beautiful sites we saw in 1 day if you had to wait in lines for shuttle buses to drive you to the castles and then have to wait in long lines at the entrances. Even as delightful as spring time is to travel with less crowds, I was amazed at the lines of people waiting to get in. Luis our guide picked us up in front of our Airbnb, drove us to Sintra, & with his Viator credentials, he could park in lots close to the Pena Palace & Quinta da Regaleira & we were able to Skip the Lines. What a time savor! That gave us time to also have a delicious lunch at an oceanfront restaurant & still had time to see the Moorish Castle. As Luis walked us around, he provided us with so much information about the sites & castles. What a great day & efficient use of our time. Thank you Luis!

Portuguese For a Day ... Impressed for Life
My wife and I did a full day tour with André, the owner of Portuguese for a Day Tours. We toured the Pena Palace, the Regaleria and Sintra. It was amazing. Andre' made sure that we were at the right locations, at the right times, to avoid the predictable long lines. You should be prepared for quite a bit of walking on this tour. André paced the walking to accommodate the slower members of our group. He was specific about times to meet and locations whenever we were on our own. André is knowledgeable and informative. He covered a lot of the obscure details about the sites that we visited, providing information that is not readily available in tour books. We particularly appreciated his discussion and sharing information about the culture in Portugal, it greatly enhanced our experience, on the tour but on our stay in Lisbon too. It is clear from our conversations that Andre' loves Portugal. André has in-depth knowledge of the areas that we toured with him, but I am sure that he is just as knowledgeable about the other locations where he and his wife provide tours. André provided recommendations for dining, shopping, Fado venues, and any other thing that we asked about. We tried some of his shopping and dining recommendations and they were spot on. His advice was extremely valuable. We highly recommend Portuguese For a Day tours, you won't be disappointed. I know that we weren't.
